At the end of this video I included an instrumental slow jazz piece, titled
After Hours Cafe.
Frugal Frau strives to live like the woman of Proverbs 31: 10-31
10
[a]A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
11
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
12
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
13
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
14
She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
15
She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.
16
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17
She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
18
She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
19
In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20
She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
21
When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22
She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23
Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24
She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
26
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
29
“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31
Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

I use wax free sewing transfer paper underneath my drawing and simply trace over my drawing with a pen; th...

Sukey, you say, "we," are you speaking French? Because it looks like Tom is pretty much doing this himself (unless he has a mouse in his pocket). For you young folks out there, watch Tom's hands. He has great mechanics. Tom makes this look effortless (it' not; he's just a master craftsman). You won't see that on most other woodworking channels. Terrific. Thanks for these videos, Sukey.

Behind the scenes and for our ongoing projects and clients, it is we, and it is we because we are truly a team. I do the videography, editing, narrating because Tom is the master and I am not. I have to use smaller tools etc. because ha ha there is a difference between men and women and I simply to do not have the hand size, muscle mass, and strength to use larger tools. It might be painful to watch me using the planes as I struggle even with the smaller ones, though I am improving. You are correct, this is not effortless and Tom makes it look easy.

Tom is doing a great job. He is obviously a classical craftsmen and not a UA-cam "maker." Thank goodness therer are still folks out there who learned at the foot of the master, because I can't stand those who got fired from their jobs in industry in 2008, and now they are "woodworkers."

Tom is actually much faster at all of these tasks than I am , so we choose to try to make more efficient videos. My tools are smaller, too so it takes me much longer, I am also currently laying off the hard work due to an irritated nerve in my back… crimps my style. Sorry to disappoint you.

I will do some more cooking videos again at a later time.. They never did that well… I suspected that many thought my recipes and techniques inquest were weird because I eschew electronic gadgets and source my ingredients only from what I can grow or obtain in trade. It is the season of using up canned stuff now because in our zone 3 garden, planting has only just begun. Hopefully we can set up more ways to cook outside because in the Summer I do not enjoy firing up the wood cook stove. Plus we are ripping out the kitchen sometime later this Summer so cooking is going to become very basic… either fresh out of the garden or heat it up something canned over the electric burner. I actually kind of resent having to use that thing. What kind of food/cooking interest you?

Wonderful video! The presentation was pleasant, the narrating was clear and detailed, the filming was great (I enjoyed the tool wall in the background at the beginning, antd the close up of the cleat at the end is very helpful as well). Tom looks like he's got very skilled hands, and high technical knowledge. Finally - I'm very happy with a simple and uncommon project (uncommon for youtube, by my experience), using good and simple hand tools! This is the first video I saw from this channel, but will not be my last! I'm very happy to have come across this channel, and I hope y'all do well!

We have winding sticks, but on something this small we don’t bother with them. Keep up the hand tool work… and yes, good old exercise good for the body and spirit too. Mainly we like hand tools for the dust reduction and also space limitations. Besides there is just something very satisfying of doing it all by hand with hand tools too.
