Thank you for the bit of trivia! I I'm transported to a better time of life when I hear this song! Wasn't this era or their style called steam punk or grunge? These young guys always needs a little lesson on superstars from back in the day! School'em please!! 💜✌️💜😊
For my money, I think Linda is one of the greatest rock vocalists ever. It's just too bad her band didn't get more attention than it did. Her vocals were incredible.
Great song! Linda Perry was married to Sara Gilbert, who played on the sitcom Roseanne. Check out Alanis Morissette, “You Ought to Know”, about her break up with a TV sitcom actor. Also the 2010 performance by PINK, “Glitter in the Air”. That video is legendary. Another great female singer is Melissa Ethridge, “I’m the Only One”. Great video! As always, great reaction. Thank you ! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
An absolute banger! I have to admit I didn't think much of it when it was popular, but I can now see what a brilliant song it is, with a powerhouse lead vocal from Linda Perry. Love it!!!!
It's funny looking back. Pretty sure this was on a 10 worst videos of the 90s list at one point but today I'd say it's one of the 10 songs I remember most from the 90s.
@@brandontaylor3252 Over the years I've had a "Songs I Hate, That Most People Love" list and this was on it, but not anymore. It's an amazing track! (The current list includes "American Pie" and "Bohemian Rhapsody"....)
Summer of 1993 I was a single parent and had 3 children all under age 4 years old, 3 buddies from work invited me along on a weekend trip to Myrtle Beach and I jumped at the chance. My biggest memory of this song is lying on the beach all day listening to this song while the guys played golf then all of us hitting the Grand Strand at night. LoL that song and those guys helped me retain my sanity as a working mom❤️..
It is so much fun to see young people expand their musical horizons. They do it with respect and humor and still make it real for the viewer. Good job.
I used to be a therapist and a college professor, I've stepped back recently. These two aspects of my professional life were motivated by the joy and satisfaction of encouraging people's expansion of mind, love and self-love. Watching you guys is a wonderful example of all of that. Keep up the good work.
My mom bought me this single on cassette when I was four because I got so jacked when it came on the radio. Knew every word and still get hype to hear it today. Such a good choice!
Tina Turner? You HAVE to watch Proud Mary, Live at Wembley. It is one of the greatest live performances ever. It is absolutely amazing. It is long, but well worth it.
There are so many great female musicians that everyone will recommend for y’all. But one of my favorite female artists of all time is Tracy Chapman. There is no other songwirter who makes me stop and contemplate her lyrics no matter how many times I’ve heard them. She is not just a musician…she is a poet. ❤
These are all incredible songs... Everybody's Fool by Evanescence Still Into You by Paramore Without You by Hinder Broken by Seether ft. Guys!!! GUYS!!! Y'all just reacted to my all time favourite song. It was brilliant watching you guys genuinely loving a fucking AMAZING song from before anyone of you were even born! Love music that can reach across generations like that. Linda is a genius with a unique tone to her gorgeous voice! BTW, the INSTITUTION referenced in the song is the madness of life. You know, like life is one big old mental institution. You can't fight what's meant for you, so you take a real breath, get real high and just smile and think What's going on! GREAT REACTION BOYS!
Before I even hit play.. this song is so nostalgic for me!! I used to work in a pizza restaurant and we were all really good friends, this song was playing in the kitchen constantly and it always reminds me of these fun times. Thanks guys. xo
Linda Perry, lead singer, is an absolute badass. Produced hit songs for Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Adele, Gwen Stefani, Courtney Love, James Blount and Pink. Songwriter Hall of Fame.
It's good to see you guys are willing to try new music and expand your horizons. Fills me with a ton of hope for our future as a country. Keep it up guys!
Y'all might enjoy "More than Words" a softer, acoustic song by a harder rock band called Extreme. It's from the early 90s and features great harmonies.
I must have heard this 10,000 times and its still fresh. Sarah Jane Morris singing Me And Mrs Jones is another song I have enjoyed so much over the years.
You should do some Janet Jackson “Got Till its gone”, “That’s the way loves goes”, “Rhythm Nation”, “If”, “Any Time, Any Place” if you want some more female artists.
Agreed.. more female artist and the Goddess of Metal is Maria Brink from the band In This Moment. Check out songs "The In Between" and "Big Bad Wolf" ...straight fire! 🔥🔥🔥
You guys are so much fun to watch.... all of you~! I'm a huge music buff and have been in bands AND I am old enough I could be your mama...lol... but I love that you are being so diverse and trying all kinds of music. My boys didn't stand a chance they had to listen to everything and now they like a lot of different kinds of music! I just love your positive outlook and fun attitudes. I had a friend on my laptop say why are you subscribed to this channel and I said listen to a few of their posts...lol... and she did and now she loves it~! You guys are so cute and the way you interact with each other is the best. Keep up the good work and I'll keep telling my friends about you! 🥰
Love this song! It’s one of those songs that when it comes on you just have to scream it at the top of your lungs whether anyone can hear you or not! Lol
Wow I have not heard this in years! I remember rocking out to it on MTV in the 90s. Total shot in the dark guys, but I want to see y'all if you haven't ever heard it react to Public Enemy - Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos. Chuck D kills it.
If you're doing music by women you gotta check out Janis Joplin - Use Me Lord live in Stockholm, Summertime live version and Maybe live version. Definitely worth the time watching all three.
Love this reaction guys!!!👏👏👏 Her voice reminds me of Janis Joplin! You guys should check her out to... my favorite songs of Janis Joplin is 'Take a piece of my heart'. Check it out sometime 😁🎶
I absolutely love this song and hearing it sends me right back to my college dorm room, where I would have heard it many, many times when it first released. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Linda Perry is iconic. She went on to write/produce songs for Pink, Gwen Stefani and Adele
Believe she wrote Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" also
Came here to say this
She also caused issues at MTV for being too aggressive with Kennedy. Kennedy didn't like being hit on by her.

She deserved more exposure
Es que no le interesaba de verdad, a ella le gustaba mas escribir canciones que era y es por lo qye verdaderamente er conocica entre los cantantes

Linda Perry is brazilian and portuguese-american. and she’s amazing 💜
There's a lot of African blood running through both areas because of the slave trade.
