The 2nd single from their only album, released 30 years ago, in 1993. It was their biggest song. Yes , Linda Perry is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Linda left the band in '94, and the band broke up not long after that.
Thanks for the potted history - I only ever knew this one track of theirs and now I feel inspired to go see what else they did.
4 Non- Blondie's also were apart of a compilation disc of artists covering Led Zeppelin.
That's Linda Perry. I only knew 3 songs of hers this one.. Spaceman..and Morphine and Chocolate(r my only friends) Then i didn't hear about her tool i watched a doc about PINK and how Linda Perry mentored her and the writing of her first album. Yeah Pink. Nice reaction thank you i can't imagine Dolly doing this so now i gotta look it up.😅

Linda Perry has written so many good songs. Shes written songs for Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilara, Courtney Love, Pink, Adele, Alicia Keys, on and on. This was her band's one hit wonder but she went on to make other singers famous with her songwriting.

This was 4 Non Blondes one-hit-wonder, but Linda Perry was a great songwriter and producer. When this came out, I was in a relationship (don't ask) with a gal that really never expressed much of an appreciation for music, but she did express she really liked it. I had no idea Dolly covered, but now looking forward to listening to it.

This may have been a one hit wonder, but what a hit! It's a truly great song that beautifully showcases Linda's incredible voice. This song was something of an anthem in the early 90's. This is just a great great song. Love it!
1992-1997 was a musical island, very different than anything before or after. The music was more introspective and to some extent self loathing, but it was a vibe. It was time for Hair Metal to die.

I don't know if her solo work has been mentioned but it's pretty great. In Flight is an amazing first album. After Hours is really really good, and the album with her performing in Deep Dark Robot contains a couple potential classics.
4 Non Blondes also had another hit song, "Spaceman". Probably not known in America, but very famous in Europe, that's the nature of "one Hit Wonders", they vary between different countries. Very good song, I just love her voice.

I watched a video where Pink was singing this song. I think it was in London in 2015. She finished her concert singing this song and it was great, but this original is certainly better.

Yes this is Linda Perry singing this. Vocals we dont hear enough of sadly, but she writes beautiful music. Have never heard Dollys cover, but Pink does an awesome cover of this also. But still love this better.

Hey guys, not lookin for a reaction for this, but back in the ''80's'' the radio stations played the edited version of 'Hungry Like a Wolf' for the majority of the time. But once in a while, I remember they would play the extended version. If time allows, take a listen, it's the one I fell in love with. But I'll deny it. OK, just I don't know if this has been covered in any comments. But I'm gonna do it here. The woman in this band singing lead is Linda Perry. Most people consider her the leader of the 4 non blinds, although originally there were 4 women and they were not blind. They were green ATS or black hair and then. They were known as 4 non blondes about the league guitarist quit, and so they hired another person. Which happens to be a guy that person playing the league guitar that you saw as a man.
And and they also had to replace the original drummer, but one of the things about these young ladies are as everyone and more lesbians.

The 4 Non Blondes was one of my Faforites back in the 90s but there are more to figurit out ot 90s music i would love to see more. Thank you for that video. I was also a Fan of the Cranberries, Alanis Morrisett. And do not forget Nirvana with the Album Nevermind. Thank you again.

Linda does not like the spotlight anymore. She is happy writing hits for Mega-Stars. In Dolly's Video she only sings a soft backup not wanting to upstage Dolly, which she would on this song. Her version is by far the best ever.

This is not a "version" - Dolly's is - this is the original. When you have this many questions you should do a little research, maybe. It is generally easy to make a guitar sound like that in the original unless it is a solo by a master.
This is very much 'a version' even it it is the original. If there is more than one of a certain thing that differs in some way from the others then it is by it's very definition 'a version'. When you have such little understanding of how language works you should do some research maybe before you make a fool of yourself.
