dissecting the frog for non-XIV players: 1.0 was the original version of FFXIV that was so bad and poorly received by critics and consumers that the developers completely shut it down and rebuilt the game basically from the ground up to be better, hence why the game is subtitled "A Realm Reborn"

I could be wrong I'm not a FFXIV fan but if I remember correctly, they canonically destroyed the world to connect it with the servers shutting down I think?

Yeah, it's basically a weirdly stylized version of the Latin alphabet with some letters flipped around and stuff. For some reason, some of the fonts in the game are easier to read than others for me.

I think my favourite part of this is Shenpai losing their mind and dying of laughter. It helps SO MUCH that their character is first shown as being so stone-faced only to completely shatter when JoCat finishes his "roast".

I love jokes like this. It's self contained by the fandom, so an outsider like me wouldn't get it, but if you know, you'll be rolling on the floor. It reminds me of the joke that made me friends with one of my coworkers. We were chilling talking about Harry Potter, when I asked what house she thinks our other co-worker would b in. I will never forget her answer. She pointed out a specific bartender and said "[bartender's name]? Hmm, I dunno, definitely not ravenclaw."
