Great video, thanks. I'm curious about the red accents (red lines) on the black portion of your front grille. Was that a stock feature on your particular truck or did you add an aftermarket grille, or add just those accents yourself to the stock grille? It's a small detail, but I think it looks fantastic. If it was a DIY addition, I'd be very interested to know how you did it. Thinking of doing something similar on my truck.

If I am going to tie my lights directly in with my high beams, do I still need the relay that comes with the kit or can I wire it like you did (tying the two red leads from the lights together and then using a common ground)? Thanks for your help!!
Huge favor.... when you talk about the harness and how modify it (cut off the light bar connectors).... what wire and casing did you use? Something you bought separately? Had the Up Fitter kit installed... I want to add a light bar.
I’m installing these tomorrow. What happened to your aero shutters? Mine are gone to due to front end collision. Great vid well done. Do you get a check engine light with no aero shutters? Im getting one and it drives me crazy. Awesome truck love it!
Your videos worked fantastic for installing these lights and up fitter switches! Was wondering if you had any trouble shooting tips though? The RC lights lit up perfectly but a couple months later now only a few bulbs are lighting up and I’m not sure how to fix this
Hey CJ I watched your videos very closely. nice work. Did you just connect the power wire straight to the power wire for the upfitter switch you wanted to use?
Yes he did. The upfitter switch panel has its own relay box. And the the box has 5 leads coming off of it. 1 wire per switch. Just hook your power wire to the power wire with the corresponding switch and you’re good to go. No running extra wires and relay harnesses. It’s the Silverado upfitter switch panel if you haven’t found it by now, since I’m responding almost a year later lol.
where'd you get the red parts on the front grille? or was it something you just painted on? looking for something similar but on my 2020 2500 silverado
@@rorymatthews4128 rough country Silverado grill lights google that. Lights look good just got them footed up myself. I recomend blacked out version if yo I want it to look factory
I got mine today and one set of brackets for the mounts is missing😡. It came with “Bag1” so I assume “”Bag 2” is on the floor, kick under a table at RC shipping dept👎
Looks great but if people are interested in red front lights be aware that in some states having any red or blue lights without being a state owned police or emergency vehicle will get you stopped and towed away for being illegal.
Yes it is possible to replace the button with a toggle switch I’m actually doing a light bar on a different vehicle and I will take the rough country harness and video how you can wire it in

Did you have any issues with running a single wire for the grill lights? Only 3 lights on each bar would come on for me.

Which pry tool do you use? Did you replace or reuse the plastic fasteners?

It’s a kit made to fit in the truck already with light trimming. Wouldn’t fit a 2500 unfortunately

If you’re using the rough country harness black is ground, white is +12v and blue is the out to the lights.
