Been following this for a while now. Love what you’ve done with the lenses. I’ve been waiting for games to get more realistic where the whole screen (outside the scope) doesn’t also zoom-in. Hurry up and get it released!
@@zebatov so just to explain and clarify- I’m *not* a developer of this game- I’m just a content creator covering its progress in the lead up to release, with hopes to make content on it when it’s finally out! I’m also very excited! 😅😊
I thought this game was a scam, we hadn't heard from it for so long after the last teaser. But this makes me so happy. Zebras, hippos and monkeys? Hell fucking yes!
The trailer looks pretty good, still a big fan of putting a surppressor on my rifle. Elephant hunting going to be fun especially in multiplayer. Great video sweetheart xxx❤
We have to remember games sometimes take 6-10 years on top of dev team size because nine rocks and ultimate hunting have small dev teams so things take time
@@melsgaming01 smaller dev teams means slower updates and a trickle of content with big updates every now and then because of pressure from investors and time consraints so yea
Great review Mel. I can just feel your excitement. I'm exactly the same & can't wait to see all the things I've heard about over the years. I just hope it's more sim than arcade without needs zones & random populations. Bring on 2025!
It lives! Also, it looks really nice, and when it comes out it's sure to have an impact on the other hunting games. Going to shake things up, I think. Launch live stream, Mel?
the trailer looks good hopefully the game does too it would be nice to have some more good hunting games out there. also I had very intrusive thoughts when the guy aimed the 416 Rigby at the baboon lol
@@melsgaming01 something else I thought about is I wonder if they dropped this trailer today on purpose or just by coincidence with the release day of the new COTW map🤔
As you said Mels, this is a new dawn for hunting games. I think we need to recognize the awesome job done so far by the COTW developers who have seen their player base steadily increase over the years. Because, I believe, that is what is making this possible. I'd love to see their strategic meetings from now on. To have this bombshell dropping on such an important date for them. Also, ultimate games have been a kind of underdog - look at their fishing games - I hope they manage to gather a good following delivering on such high expectations.
If they add some stuff from cotw and way of the hunter like different / rare fur types, hunting stands, a lodge / place to display your kills and multimounts amongst many other things this'll be fun when it's fully done because currently it is looking like hunting simulator which will 100% be changed by release day
It seems very linear and the predator/charging mechanism looks very “big buck hunter” which is a little concerning but hopefully it gets fine tuned and turn out great. Great video!
Looks great i hope to see and get albino nile crocs I'm also happy the game will have wood ducks which fun fact they hybridize a lot so hopefully some hybrid variants but ever since Mississippi Acres I wanted Wood ducks and now they're finally coming
It looks good, has a lot of new gameplay, nice graphics, but this game must be well optimized, if not many players' computers shouldn't be able to run it
Well, it isn't. The two open-world maps were essentially finished by mid-2022. They're showing what people are going to find interesting and/or pleasing.
I didn’t like way of the hunter until I played, I’m a little worried it’s the reverse with this one. We’ll just have to wait till we see some real gameplay!
This was a fair review. For me, a lot of it looks really janky and artificial, especially that waterhole setting, which reminded me more of an animatronic scene in a theme park ride. However, the equipment and some of the animals look really good. Overall, though, it kinda feels like a visual update to Hunting Simulator 2. Hopefully they get it turned around!!
I'll be honest I wasn't a fan of the trailer. Some things make me really really worried in particular. The first thing is the fact that the bear and elephant attack exactly the same way coming out of the bushes. Makes me think that this is some rng phone game like nonsense where there is an x% chance that an animal attack will spawn out of bushes and it's exactly the same every time. The other thing that worries me is how there seems to be a path outlined in most of this footage, makes me think that we will not be able to just walk around freely everywhere the way we can in CotW. Wouldn't be surprised if the sides in most of this footage are invisible walls. Both of these issues would absolutely kill this game on arrival for me.
can't really bass everything off of the trailer the animals attacking like that very likely just set up like that for the trailer to show animals can go aggressive also I can't remember if they said anything about map size but if they did they should be pretty good sized maps so definitely going to be open world. we just need to wait and see when more stuff comes out or when people get to play it
This game excites me and concerns me. Like many have said, some of the movements and graphics look a bit clunky. Of course, the game is still early. I’m happy they are not rushing the release. I think this game could change hunting games if made right. I love the idea of being able to put trophies in your truck. I also love how they do not care about the animals they add. Very different and makes them stand out, and fulfills my dream of hunting animals I cannot in real life.
The animal interactions look pretty awful. I think they cut out the buffalo, bear and elephant gunshots on purpose, not just for dramatic effect. Also, the bear running at the camera looked embarassing. When the car is pulling up to the "Southern Africa" sign, it looks worryingly like a number of terrible unity driving games I've played. They have very small scenes on display, there's no great shot of a big open world, especially in the shot that flies above the grass looking at the zebra's etc. in the watering hole. You can clearly see that this game is nowhere near ready. Of course, it's not even being released this year, but how much can a small dev studio improve it in 6 to 18 months? Only time will tell, I suppose.
Well clearly the only thing he is good for is bitching about everything like you could do better than these hard workers who not only that have a smaller dev team than cotw and this game already looks better than COTW graphic wise
@Eugenecapobianco I wouldn't think the graphics are amazing, like mid. I mean, some of the environments look a bit saturated and exaggerated but still look good.
My one gripe is southern africa doesnt look like this...Im happy for the species list, but the Africa map looks like a bad version of the lion king in terms of setting. We have grass over here...and tons and tons of grass, and Flat top acacias are not as common as stereotypical east africa. So far, Way of the Hunter has the most Authentic African map and even they dont have enough grass in certain areas...for trees we should be seeing combretums, buffalo thorn and the like...and did I mention grass? WE NEED GRASS!!!
I am so excited for this game it's not even funny I'm most excited for hunting the elephants with my most favorite gun that I own in real life too the 700 nitro Express I love shooting a gun in general but it's expensive as hell to shoot and I hope it's the same way that it is in the game lets go
Yeah like I said the first watch through I nit picked at a lot of stuff (certain animations mostly) but with at least 6 months till it releases? I can see a lot being improved.

Yeah all of the animal models are made by a 3rd party called GIM Studios and are available for anyone to buy. WOTH also uses a lot of the same models but have since refined many of them (mule deer for example) + evidently developed their own models and re-skins using those since day 1 (for example lesser scaup made from the mallard). This is why WOTH has some funky models sometimes like the feral pigs looking so boar-like since they are just remodeled boars, and the Sika looking like an Axis - because GIM Studios only has an Axis Deer available, and nine rocks didn't change it enough when matariki launched.
Just to expose your deinformation, some models are from GiM but just for now. Obviously they're aiming for creating the models by themselves. So far they made couple of them like kudu, warthog, guineafowl, buffalo, baboon and some more
