- REVIEW OF THE CUBE REACTION HYBRID PEDAL ASSIST ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN BIKE AFTER 400 MILE OF HARD RIDING MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS.
THE ONLY MODIFICATION I'VE DONE SO FAR IS ADD THE MAXXIS 29 INCH TUBLESS TIRE FRONT AND BACK. SO FAR NO MORE FLATS AND THE RIDE/TRACTION HAS IMPROVED DRAMATICALLY.
RANGE IS OPTIMAL IN ECO MODE WITH UPWARDS OF 100 MILE PER CHARGE.
BIKE IS PERFECT THUS FAR WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL AFTER 400 MILES OF HARD MOUNTAIN TERRAIN.

Hello amazing review can u make one of the cube reaction hybrid pro 625 2021 model thx. Can yu wash the motor and battery with no issues or will some water get through.
Ali, thanks for the accolades. I wish CUBE would send me a bike to review but alas, I don't think I'm important enough. Would love to test the pro 625 2021 model. I can help you however with the water proof question:
Your Bosch
drive unit is designed to be water tight to rain water or non-pressure hose washing.
Keep all components of your eBike clean, especially the battery-pack contacts and corresponding holder contacts. All components including the drive unit may
not be immersed in water or cleaned with a high-pres-
sure cleaner. Keep all components of your eBike
clean, especially the batterypack contacts and corre-sponding holder contacts. Clean them carefully with a soft, damp cloth (using only mild soap and water).
IP 54 (dust- and
splash-proof)
@@ONBLASTWITHMG thank you very much it was helpful
Ali, I own cube reaction pro hybrid 625 2021. This model is a good base to modify. If you are going to ride trails, the factory installed Suntour XCM 34 Coil spring, suspension should be replace according to the instructions on the fork. I'll replace my for AIR spring shocks.
That is helpful information...
Glad it was helpful!
Great review ! I have the 2020 version, 500 watt battery first dip into ebiking . My advice along with this vlog, just do it, it’ll change your experience of biking. Don’t listen to the haters “ your cheating riding an electric bike, believe me you working up a sweat riding these bikes. There’re not always light , a bit weighty but on the trails depending on what you do , man you work up a sweat. I agree the forks are awful, I’m looking to change as the reviewer says, it’ll change your experience along with the tyres. Just an all round fun bike, couldn’t be happier 👍🏽
Andy, I totally agree with you. All around a great bike minus the forks and tires if you're like me and do a lot of mountain biking but fine for just riding around on light gravel. Haters will be haters always, LOL. Electric bikes are the future and they will get lighter. Nice part is you can turn the power off and ride it like a normal bike. Best of both worlds.
The Schwalbe Nobby Nic are excellent on this bike. Combining them with the extra thick Schwalbe Air Plus tubes is a great combination. The Nobby Nics are nearly unflattable. ;-) A pair of Ergon GA3 and the CUBE all mountain pedals are an excellent investment as well.
I don't agree. Tube filled tires will always be at a higher risk of puncture in comparison to tubeless.
Pedal upgrade to me was this: OneUp Components Composite Pedal
They are very good.
Thanks for the review. I am looking at the 625 model available in Australia later this year which comes with rockshox judy air sprung fork. A bit of an upgrade from the suntour coil sprung.
Definateley an upgrade
This is a great bike, love it 2 years later and nothing has broken yet.
Good review, makes me want to get one

Thank you for your videos and being tired to show us! I love watching them... I'm not that expert in ebikes, but I see Cube Reaction Hybrid Race 625 (2021) may you check the components please and let me know if it's better regarding the forks and others. I'll be thankful for you.
The components are mostly the same with the exception of the forks. They added the RockShox Judy Silver TK Air, eMTB Approved, 100mm, Lockout. This is a huge improvement and it make the bike in my eyes, perfect.
@@ONBLASTWITHMG Thank you very much for your reply. I appreciate it and keep up the good work!
when you need to go over 25 km after the pedal assist? don't u feel the bike is getting heavier to go for more speed above 25 km?
@@mhaqqi The bike will assist you to 32kph. After that, yes you will feel more resistance in the pedal but due to your momentum at that speed it is negligible.
How about the drag from the CX when running above its maximum? This seems a key issue for many riders, who suggest the Active Line may be better.
The drag in my opinion is minimal however, it is noticeable after 20 mph. You just have to get on it after 20mph with pedal power.
Good review, looking at possibly getting the 2024 variant of this bike as my first ebike... any updates since you filmed this?
Yeah, I need to do a 3 year update. One amazing... it is really an amazing bike, no issues.
@@ONBLASTWITHMG Thanks! It's between Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro and the Haibike Alltrack 5 for me RN... both have upsides that the other does not (including local dealer factors)... great to hear you are still loving the bike!
May i ask what frame size you got and what’s your height as well? Thanks
I got the 21. I'm about 6 foot tall and it is just about the right size maybe on the tall side.
Is this different to the Reaction performance? What is the EX?
Hi Matthew, yes there are some differences between the two most notably the motor. The Performance model comes with a 3rd Gen BOSCH as opposed to the EX which comes with the newest 4th GEN BOSCH. The fork is also a bit different with the EX offering 120mm of travel as opposed to 100mm by the Performance. There are other subtle differences between the two. Hope this helps a bit.
Hello.
What do you recommend me cube acid pro 500 or merida eone twenty 500 iam 186 tall. Thank you.
To be honest I would go with the CUBE. Number one, it has a latest BOSCH motor which in my opinion is the better motor. Also the collection of parts on the CUBE is better quality. Finally, the battery on the CUBE is integrated to the frame, giving more space.
The ACID line is not full suspension as the Merida one you chose. So that is a pretty big difference. Maybe take a look at the CUBE STEREO Hybrid.
so it s also good in the city?
Absoluteley, you can get over 100 miles in the lowest setting and the riding characteristics are very good. I take my son all over in a mounted front seat.
Are the shocks air or coil
Shocks are coil:( I would say the forks are about the only thing on this bike that needs to be updated. Everything else is top notch. I'm surprised they didn't buck up and put some Fox forks on there.
@Electric Bikes Of Corona Del Mar So very true! This bike as quality as it is by the sum of its parts suffers from a weak fork. You're probably right as to higher cost of manufacture from German to China. Alas, you can always add aftermarket. Maybe you can send me one?
4:23 that stanchion seal is kaput

I'm listening for 20 minutes how much money dinero Money Talks everyone knows you can buy a used Vespa scooter for two grand go 60 miles an hour
Totally different my friend. And yes, electric bikes are not cheap. You could find something though around 1500 like a RAD bike. So, it all depends on what you need.
Good luck taking your Vespa on a mountain trail 😂
