    Never even thought to do it w/my finger. Before seeing this, a long time ago, I got one of the Taklon modpodge brand brushes & it works beautifully!! It's so amazing, a total game changer. But if you don't have one, this looks like an incredible way to apply it!! Thank-You my friend, for always sharing what you've learned along the way!! ♡

During these hectic, often stressful days I welcome the respite your videos provide. Thank you for the 'escape' via your tutorials.
    I do have a few quick questions. Do you find there's a big difference between regular Mod Podge and the Duracoat? Second, if you tried regular Mod Podge was it worthwhile or an obvious fail? (Somehow I have 2 gallons of regular Mod Podge. Isn't it amazing the items we find when we move?)

    • @MinderellaCreations

      faye austin Thanks! Glad you enjoy it! 😊😊
      I use hard coat because my very first experience making a cup, the glitter layers never seemed to get firm. It may have been process or not letting it dry ample time, but I tried the hard coat mod podge and love it.
      Many people use the regular mod podge though, so it’s perfectly fine to do that. You would want to make sure you give ample dry time. 😊

      Minderella1225 .... Thx for the quick and informative reply. Rather than risk a mishap I will go with your preferred choice. I will be making Christmas gifts and of course time (and expense), are considerations. (I am not doing the same as you. I ran across a box of stainless steel coffee cups, much smaller so hopefully a bit faster.) I will devise other projects for the gallons of regular Mod Podge I recently discovered. Again, I love your creations and your style tutorial.

      Hi Elaine...I go through most of my steps in my start to finish video.
      ua-cam.com/video/MElvr9sqc-E/v-deo.html
      The order is Mod Podge/Glitter, Mod Podge/Glitter, Epoxy 1st coat, sand if needed, apply vinyl, epoxy 2nd coat. You may or may not need another coat of epoxy after the first or last.

    first off, I LOVE your videos. You've become my "go-to" for learning. =) one question I have is, does it matter what kind of mod podge you use since it's on the bottom anyway?? I have never used mod podge before so I don't have a clue lol

    • @MinderellaCreations
      @MinderellaCreations  6 років тому +1

      Jennifer Moya Thanks!
      I don’t think it matters since it’s under the epoxy. The properties of the mod podge are most important if you aren’t covering it. I use the hard coat because it dries the quickest and hardest. 😊

    Great channel and video Hey I have a question for you, I have been purchasing The Todd McFarlane figures and I have the figures on s shelf but in close proximity to each other and noticed that the colors of the figures are rubbing off of each other…. Can the modge podge spray help prevent that from happening again for future figures?
    Thank you in advance

      Hi! Thank you! I haven’t worked with figurines but I would think that it would work to seal them. Any kind of sealer would work. A spray sealer like rustoleum 2x or polycrylic.

    Also is the hard coat mod podge water resistant? One last question, when I use either pva glue or the mod podge dishwasher safe glue I lose all the lustre from my fine holographic silver glitter 😠 but I don't with normal chunky-ish glitter

    • @MinderellaCreations

      Ladymandi69 xx I stopped sealing mine for that reason. It seemed to dull it. If you seal with Epoxy and not mod podge you don’t lose any Sparkle.

    How do I go about applying epoxy to seal the cup afterwards? Do I add more tape to keep it only over the glitter or do you just epoxy the entire outside of the cup?

    • @MinderellaCreations
      @MinderellaCreations  3 роки тому

      I go over that in this video.
      ua-cam.com/video/guLOPzxSSFA/v-deo.html
      You will want to tape again just outside the glitter and then epoxy. Pull your tape when it’s tacky and won’t run, but not cured yet. 30 minutes to an hour. 😊

    I'm making my first cup right now, my glitter kinda clumped with the mod podge, can I sand the glitter? Or should I do a first coat of epoxy, sand, then epoxy?

    • @MinderellaCreations
      @MinderellaCreations  4 роки тому +1

      If it clumps when doing the mod podge it's best to strip it and start over because there's not an easy way to hide that. Epoxy magnifies imperfections. If it's only a small area you can try to scratch off (NOT sand off) but using a knife or hobby knife just scratch off the bump and then apply a full coat of glitter. Then epoxy.

    • @MinderellaCreations
      @MinderellaCreations  5 років тому

      It depends...if it's sticking above the tape line you can use an exacto and cut any excess off. If it pulls off glitter and there is now a spot missing glitter, it's a bit more difficult. When that happened to me once I just used an exacto and trimmed the entire line down a hair so it would match.

    Hi! I would really like to do this with a pair of Crocs. What kind of Mod Podge would you recommend, or should I use something altogether different? I don't want the glitter to crack when I walk. Also, can I ask where you get your glitter? It's gorgeous!

    • @MinderellaCreations
      @MinderellaCreations  Рік тому

      Since crocs are plastic / silicone type, you may want to find an adhesive that is good for that. I think the crystal ninja has some for rhinestone application that may work. Check out my UA-cam channel for the supplies video where I have all my favorite glitter sellers linked.

    • @MinderellaCreations
      @MinderellaCreations  4 роки тому +2

      You really shouldn't be having missing spots on a second coat. If you are, your mod podge is likely drying too fast on the first and second coat. You could try to do a third coat, but I think only once during the time I used mod podge did I need to do a 3rd coat. Also base painting your tumbler will help cover the stainless to allow for a better coverage.

      randylovessandy If it hasn’t been 24 hours, give it 24 hours. If it has it generally means the epoxy wasn’t mixed well enough or long enough or the temperature affected it or there was moisture in it. If you’ve waited long enough and it’s not curing, add another coat with the appropriate mixing and temp.
