This is a good video. The glass came out very pretty. This video randomly popped up on my timeline so I.decided to watch it. I bling wine glasses, glass bottles, hats, sneakers and clothes as well and I learned a lot through trial and error and experience in general. I have a couple of tips for anyone that will attempt this as a DIY project. For anyone reading this and interested in blinging glass, you can also buy crafting glaze, put a couple of layers of liquid glaze on top of the glitter, instead of glue to seal the glitter. Allow it to cure for a day or two and it will be good to go! The glaze gives a clearer finish, it makes for a smooth finish and once it has completely cured, it becomes hard, like glass which keeps the glitter for a much longer period of time and allows for people to have more flexibility when it comes to washing the glass as well. Also the best glue to use for bringing is Aileen's crating glue or B700. Which all can be purchased on Amazon by the way. I hope this information is hopeful. When I was learning how to do this I made a lot of mistakes and many times looked at the comment section for advice under these types of videos so I truly zhope it helps someone. None the less, this video is awesome and I am wishing everyone reading this the best.

Hi...I love this design idea. What did u use qt the end after the rhinestones went on...did u cover them with something? ...also these aren't dishwasher safe correct...ty ty and keep creating !!!!
Hi Catherine, at the end I used mod podge to seal the glitter but not the stones as the glue should be enough to keep them in place. No they are not dishwasher safe but you could use the mod podge that is dishwasher safe and that should be fine. No rhinestones though for the dishwasher.

Hi Shareeta, I typically work with fine glitter because it gives me better coverage and it's a more polished finish but it is also dependent on your preference. For me the brand doesn't really impact the finish product so that's not a bit factor for me. Hope this was helpful.

You handwash it as you would any other glassware. Dishwasher is not recommended for this design unless you choose to use the dishwasher safe pod podge.
Hi. Love this. I tried it and my cup with the final layer of mod podge is making the glitter not as vibrant, what did I do wrong?? I'm thinking maybe too thick of a final layer??
Hey Dawn, you have to make that final layer thin but it will make the glitter a bit dull at first. After it's properly dried it shouldn't be as dull. You can also add Krylon clear UV coat to give it a pop after the mod podge is dried properly.

Hi Jasmin, no the glitter will not come off when washed because we used the mod podge as a sealer to prevent this from happening. You can apply 3 layers of mod podge at the end to ensure it has a long life.

Hello I just saw this video and would love to try this but i was a little confuse at the end when you put the mod podge on to seal the glitter how did you remove the mod podge?
Hey there Nicki, I use Mod Podge to seal the glitter. You can use two to 4 coats of mod podge and allow 4 weeks for it to fully cure after the project is dried.
Oh I love this, I'm definitely going to try this but I have a question. After putting the 2 layers of mod podge at the end it'll fade into the glitter and seal it?
Hi Sabrina, thanks for your feedback and comment... After the second coat of Mod Podge it does fade into the glitter and seals it. So it's safe to wash it and the glitter won't remove. If you want to do a dish washer safe option you can try the hard coating of the Mod Podge brand. There's one specially designed for dishwasher safe products.
Hi I used glitter glue to instead of the powder glitter can I still use mod podge and I see the mod podge is white does it get clear when it dries and would the glass be smooth? I did a glass with glitter glue it came out nice but when it gets wet it came off so I need something to seal it so it won't come out.
Hey Pheona, the glitter glue is perfect for projects that won't get wet or interact with water. Powder glitter however works great with mod podge and for projects like glass that needs washing. It will get clear once dried and keeps the glitter in place. Be sure to watch the entire video so you see how I seal the glitter onto the glass at the end. You can also try Krylon UV Clear Coat spray to seal your projects.
Hi! I've seen an special mode podge for dishwasher, it just take weeks to seal and is supposed to be dishwasher friendly....could I apply this on it too 🤔
Yes the Mod Podge for dishwashers would be the best option. Just be sure to follow the curing instructions to get the best results especially if the product will be placed in a dishwasher.
I was wondering if you could share with me how I can put names on a glass until I learn how to use my cricket I haven't gone to class for that yet for that yet so as an example I may want to put the word bright on there or someone's name what would you suggest I use to put that on there. Is that where you're purchasing SV g's from Etsy?
Hey Misty, The 1st thing you want to do is ensure that after the 1st application of glitter you slightly tap the glass to remove the excess glitter then you allow it to dry for a few hours. When applying the 2nd layer of mudpodge you will find that glitter is going to be distributed with the mod podge but that doesn't mean it's removing the 1st layer just ensure the 1st layer is dried properly.
Hi @craft basics How did you get the number 19 so perfect. Did you free hand it? And would it be hard to do for an absolute beginner? Btw thanks for the video. It was so helpful x

I did it free hand the first time but for the sake of the video I shared in the comment earlier I did an easy way for you to do letters or numbers on the glass.
So, I started weeks ago and ruined my glasses with the heat setting in the dishwasher. Now, I only have a week before my event. Is it too late to start the glasses over?
Are there any other glitter glues on the market that just have a white sparkle effect. I like mod podge glitter for some things but I don't always like the rainbow colour effect. I'd like just one colour in the glue. I'm looking for a good quality on par with mod podge that come in larger sized tubs (500g or 1kg pots).
Hey Davey, most glitter glue that I've seen around or used are washable. Hopefully someone will see your query and offer some suggestions. Sorry I wasn't able to help with this one.

@@craftbasicsjs thank you
@@craftbasicsjs can I use mod podge on the metal water bottle?
Yes you can use the mod podge on the metal water bottle. It will give it a great finish too
@@craftbasicsjs thanks
CAN I USE OTHER TYPE OF GLUE OF MOST BE THAT GLUE?
I have never tried other glues because this one is recommended and holds the glitter well.
Love the video
Thanks 😊
When you wash the glass. Will it mess up the glitter?
No it won't because I used the Mod Podge to seal it.
@@craftbasicsjs thank you
@@craftbasicsjs Thank you☺
I was wondering if you could share with me how I can put names on a glass until I learn how to use my cricket I haven't gone to class for that yet for that yet so as an example I may want to put the word bright on there or someone's name what would you suggest I use to put that on there. Is that where you're purchasing SV g's from Etsy?
I do the prints on my own using cricut
The words can be added using the technique I used to add the number 19 on a glass. Check out the video I have on my page.
I apologize for not seeing your message before now. I typically try to respond to comments asap but this one is just popping up.
Thank You. I have a explorer and going to take a class to learn to use my cricut.
Yes it's a very powerful tool, so much to do with it. I'm happy to help if you have any questions.
Anytime I try to put mod podge above glitter it always removes the glitter that was already put on. Any tips? I’m waiting hours between layers
What kind of brush is it please
Hi Davina, I'm using a foam brush for the application of the Mod Podge
Hi @craft basics How did you get the number 19 so perfect. Did you free hand it? And would it be hard to do for an absolute beginner? Btw thanks for the video. It was so helpful x
Hey there Ellie... Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate you dropping this amazing comment. Glad you loved the video. I did a video on how to apply the number 19 so you can look at the steps there ok. This is the link to the video ua-cam.com/video/zHWJ20e2WWc/v-deo.html or you can visit my UA-cam channel to view the video there. Let me know if it was helpful ok.
Oh no, so sorry to hear. Yes you can redo them and they will dry for the event. Just try not to rub the glitter when washing the glass by hand.
How did you apply the 19
Hi Crystal, I'll post a video soon on how I apply the numbers to the wine glass.
@@craftbasicsjs when are you going to post a video I'm really interested in the process
I'm so sorry hon, I am in yeh process of editing the video so it will be posted this week for sure.
@@craftbasicsjs great one cant wait ... do you glitter it on there or is it glitter vinyl
Hey check out my latest video on how to add the numbers to the wine glass.... Hope this will be helpful ☺️
Boa noite.
Por favor pode me ajudar .
Comprei tudo para fazer taças para minha religião....
E estou errando.
Fiz todo procedimento, mas fica grosso a camada ?
Finalizo com goma laca...
Ate fica bonito.
Mas fica grosso ....
Seria Purpurina ou glitter?
Good with fine or extra fine glitter for these types of projects. Mod podge is also the preferred glue to use as it's best for glitter applications
Differently doing this for my birthday 8/16!
Glad you love this design... Check out my video that will be posted by the end of today. That's a cute one too.
