    TU for the tutorial. I came hereto see how to do tack it for a unicorn burst pen. But got so much more. I was struggling with keeping the epoxy out of the clicker end. Messed up several pens doing so. I am gonna try silly putty to see how that works. But I like the toothpick tool you devised. Gonna try that next. Tell Aria she is brilliant, awesome and beautiful!

    I always add a single coat of resin or epoxy onto my pens before I base coat and add glitters. This is just a good universal way to prep a ton of pens at once. This way, if you use tack it or a waterslide, the dimples are already covered

      You could use 2 coats of tack-it. Don't water the Tack-it down too much and rub lightly. See if any of that helps. Also, what brand of glitter are you using and are you using a fine glitter or chunky?

    Hi after the tack and before the epoxy what did you use to seal? or no sealing?

    • @ItsACraftThingAlishaVirgillo
      @ItsACraftThingAlishaVirgillo  3 роки тому +2

      Definitely seal. I used Rustoleum 2x clear gloss. You can also use the matte clear or triple think. Whichever you prefer. The matte will dull the glitter but the epoxy will bring the shine right back.

    Sorry but I must have missed a step and I'm new to this but when do you add the epoxy?

    • @ItsACraftThingAlishaVirgillo
      @ItsACraftThingAlishaVirgillo  2 роки тому

      No worries. Epoxy after you seal the glitter. Put on 1 to 2 coats of epoxy. That will depend largely on how smooth the first coat came out. If smooth, put on decal then put final layer of epoxy. I hope this helps.

    What is the difference between using Tacky vs Tack It?

    • @ItsACraftThingAlishaVirgillo
      @ItsACraftThingAlishaVirgillo  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Christine. Tacky is kind of like an Elmers or Mod Podge. It dries clear and flexible. Tack-It is a repositional glue. It dries sticky. You want Tacky glue to be wet when you apply glitter. You want Tack-It to be dry.

      @@allijmccoy Tack it glue dries like Elmers Glue. Tack-it over and over dries sticky. It only takes a few minutes for it to dry. When it is clear you know it's dry.
