I agree I don't know why people have music. Even radio stations use music in background when they are interviewing someone and usually the music is louder than them talking. Just too much going on for me.
I dont have an automatic turner so I took my apple corer/peeler and stuck a piece of good heavy duty cusion foam, skewered it onto the peeler and away I went!! You might need an extra hand with an arm attached to help out with the tuning... but hey, i made do.
That was so intense! I love it! I may try this as my very first tumbler! It’s beautiful and abstract! I love a good ooops that turns into an achievement!
This was beautiful I may try this. I'm a newbie and love doing this. I have a question though what brand epoxy do you use, and is your area well ventilated? I've heard you either should wear a masks or well ventilated so I am on my balcony but it's spring now and wasps are out I don't know what else to do. Any information on safe products would help.
I love the design! I'm looking for design ideas that uses glitters since I recently bought this cup turner from HomeProShop on Amazon and it comes with glitter powder.
You were the first to post a video on this technique, so in my opinion, you nailed it! Love this! Will definitely be doing some, and giving you all the credit!! Beautiful!!
What an awesome tutorial! I love how this one turned out. Let me ask you, if I do one coat like you did and I want more of the "flow" look can i just add another thick coat of epoxy on top of it and do it again? Of course after the 1st layer is completely dry. Thank you.
I can't waste glitter like that...im sorry im picking it back up and reusing it...lol... i cant never get my glitter to keep still like this...it will run into the other colors
What do you use to paint your cup 1st? Or do you start with a colored cup? I've seen some that sand their cups. Too many variations to choose. Great idea. Love the finished product.
My glitter comes from a lot of different places. In this tutorial, I think the bling is from Michaels, the black is from Bulk Glitters, and I am not sure on the others.
wow I'm gonna try this with Brite Tone which is from Crystalac. It's an epoxy free alternative. It looks so cool! Thanks for sharing. I was looking for some new techniques.
I absolutely love the design the epoxy gives off, but using that much epoxy make me nervous especially when some falls off. I may try it once to see if I like it. 😉
I just found your channel thanks to your glitter flow tutorial and scrolling through your vids, I see we have a love of marching band in common! My kiddo is a sophomore in high school, plays mellophone.
I'm only 5 min into your video (which is good) but the amount of glitter that you're losing is heartbreaking. Do you combine that glitter later and just make another tumbler with that glitter? I'm just curious. You're glitter is too beautiful to not be able to use again.
I put paper towels in some tin foil ..pour pure acetone (you can get it in the nail section at any store almost for about 3$) all over the paper towel wrap it up and let it soak for a couple hours not more than 18 hours it will dry out and will be crackled and hard and u have to do it again I usually let it sit over night or start in the morning take it off in the evening
I use Klean Strip from Walmart. Works like a charm, with no work! Put your cup on a piece of tin foil big enough to wrap around it, spray it on, then just wrap it up and leave it. Leave it on 6 hours, I usually let mine sit overnight, and in the morning, unwrap and wipe everything off! Easy breezy!!
Ok so when I tried this I thought I put to much epoxy but then i rewatched and realized I didn’t. But what mine did was pool where the glitter started to run and then wouldn’t move anymore . It just started to dry in these runs. What did I do wrong? Not enough heat? I was afraid to put to much that I’d ruin it. ? Help! Lol
The heat helps to get it to move. And not too much glitter, or you get glitter dams and it just stops up. I know it seems like a lot of epoxy, but that is what gets it to flow with the glitter, and some heat. You really can't mess it up. I mean, it was a happy accident in the beginning and now one of my favorite and most requested techniques! Keep trying!
Thank you! I tried again last night and realized two things. I put to much glitter causing what you call a glitter dam. And I didn’t have enough heat. I have it wrapped in an acetone wrap to peel off and start again. Thanks for the feedback!
It is very basic, Lori. A motor (one grill brand off Amazon), and a frame out of 2x4s my 15 year old son built. My husband added the stabilizer part so my cups wouldn't bounce with that motor as it turns a bit faster than the charbroil ones. The frame is just a T, with the brackets for the motor on the end.
I love these tumbers. I want to get started but so worried about the epoxy. How do I get started? I have a cricut maker to make decals. How cups have you runied before you made one great. I love these as gifts. Please any advice.... Thank you Aaron these are amazing!!!!
Hey Aaron! There is definitely a learning curve to doing them, but they are so much fun to do. All I can say is take that first step, make a few mistakes, and learn. Trust me, my strip bucket has held quite a few.
The tumblers can be stripped and redone. We've all messed a few (or more) up, but they can be stripped. Look on UA-cam for how others have started. You need epoxy resin that is FDA compliant (ProMarine is my favorite, or Alumulite, as well as 1 or 2 others), lots of glitter, your cricut for decals, a turner (it's quite cheap to make, $30 for the grill rotisserie turner at Lowe's, and someone to make a simple holder; many UA-cam videos for that as well), cups (I get mine from Walmart), and after a while you may want some alcohol inks, india inks, mica powders (eyeshadow works also, just make sure its is ground down to a fine powder), etc for other effects on the tumblers. Its definitely worth it. Good luck!
if u want to add pics to it like they do the waterslide whats the best to use so the paper will stick to glitter can u use modpodge?then do u epoxy over it
Thank you...THANK YOU for not playing music in your tutorial. Great tutorial, very informative.
agreed! some videos are so annoying, this was not! great video
I agree I don't know why people have music. Even radio stations use music in background when they are interviewing someone and usually the music is louder than them talking. Just too much going on for me.
“An accident becomes a technique”, that’s awesome!! I’m sooo gonna use that 😂👍🏻
Great tutorial! Thank you
WOW! So simple, yet so amazing. It's sad that you're still not making tumbler videos. You do some really good work.
i so agree and i just found u
gracias por compartir excelente video me encanto
All that epoxy falling off gave me anxiety lol I’m like nooooooo lol
Da bomb dot com and glitter 😫
Mine always falls off because I tend to do it too thick, so I’m like finally a tutorial for me! lol
my anxiety was through the roof seeing it just flood off. i'm like $$$$$$. i don't think i could bring myself to use that much
I dont have an automatic turner so I took my apple corer/peeler and stuck a piece of good heavy duty cusion foam, skewered it onto the peeler and away I went!! You might need an extra hand with an arm attached to help out with the tuning... but hey, i made do.
The tray underneath to catch epoxy is such a good idea omg..why didn’t I think of that 🤦🏼♀️
I knew you had to be from Alabama when I saw the colors! Lol awesome tutorial thanks so much!!
What are you using to spin the cup with? Awesome job! Love it!
Celliena Alvarado it is a turner my husband built. I am not using it any longer as I have switched them all to Kraken Mini Rotisseries - on Etsy
That was so intense! I love it! I may try this as my very first tumbler! It’s beautiful and abstract! I love a good ooops that turns into an achievement!
Thanks so much! I have been wanting to try this and I had no idea where to begin...can’t wait to do this.
This was beautiful I may try this. I'm a newbie and love doing this. I have a question though what brand epoxy do you use, and is your area well ventilated?

Beth Briers thank you so much for that Beth.
Pretty cool. I tried this but for some reason it only ran in two spots and now I have high spots. How do I remedy?
What an awesome tutorial! I love how this one turned out. Let me ask you, if I do one coat like you did and I want more of the "flow" look can i just add another thick coat of epoxy on top of it and do it again? Of course after the 1st layer is completely dry. Thank you.
you could do it again over the top. :)
Where can I get the turn thingy? And how is put together?
do you put a clear coat of epoxy over the top of it?
I noticed you don’t wear a mask does the epoxy not bother you I was told you have to wear a mask in order to use epoxy
How much total epoxy do u think u used
Can I ask the name n brand of the silver glitter that was used??? I need it lol
when do you take the tape off? Do you take it off after it is totally dry? or a few hours after spinning?
Hali Pannelli for me I normally will remove my tape within an hour. I use a timer to remind me
where did you get the machine to turn the cup or did you make it??
So did you spray paint it white first?
I did. I give a quick go over with steel wool, wipe it down and tape it off and then spray paint them white.
do you have to do another layer of epoxy to seal the glitter? Thank You!
Foley Boys yes I would definitely recommend that.
if u drink out of that what happens to the stuff going in the drink bit
vicki jen what
I can't waste glitter like that...im sorry im picking it back up and reusing it...lol... i cant never get my glitter to keep still like this...it will run into the other colors
MrsQueknight Williams I put a paper under and collect the glitter
Do you wait till the epoxy is fully dry to take the tape off?
What was the silver glitter you used? It’s so pretty...
How long did you wait before you took the epoxy off
How do you make sure the epoxy doesn't leave a big bump at the bottom. I keep getting the same issue. I am a beginner .
That is due to your cup not turning level.
So with the swirl cup you don’t need to put anything over the swirl after you put the glitter on?
Laura, I do add another layer of epoxy, because sometimes The glitter may not be completely smooth
how did you make ur tumbler spinner?
Do you sell the tumblers?
After the tumbler is done do you have to do a oponxy coat again?
BrendA Williamson I do one thin layer before decal and then my final coat after that
@janamays Will it be dishwasher safe when you add the epoxy top coat, is there way to make it dishwasher safe?
I say to you thank a lot from here Brazil. God bless you a big friend humanity
What do you use to paint your cup 1st? Or do you start with a colored cup? I've seen some that sand their cups. Too many variations to choose. Great idea. Love the finished product.
I am so want to try it ,but don't have a spinner
Hello, Where do you purchase your glitter?
Check out www.bulkglitters.com The polyester ultra fine ones work the best.
My glitter comes from a lot of different places. In this tutorial, I think the bling is from Michaels, the black is from Bulk Glitters, and I am not sure on the others.
Hello
I am loving this! But can this be done on a tall wine glass?
Michele Yarbrough yes. It will work on most surfaces and shapes
wow I'm gonna try this with Brite Tone which is from Crystalac. It's an epoxy free alternative. It looks so cool! Thanks for sharing. I was looking for some new techniques.
hank you...THANK YOU for not playing music in your tutorial. Great tutorial, very informative.
I absolutely love the design the epoxy gives off, but using that much epoxy make me nervous especially when some falls off. I may try it once to see if I like it. 😉
Do you use a respirator mask
I just found your channel thanks to your glitter flow tutorial and scrolling through your vids, I see we have a love of marching band in common! My kiddo is a sophomore in high school, plays mellophone.
Hey, where did you say you got the little orange scoops for sprinkling the glitter?
This is perfect for me, because I am forever using too much epoxy! lol
I love it pretty
The method described in this video is very good, it will benefit me and others along with me.
Simple and informative you can't ask for better ..straight forward.
Thank you
Where can i buy the motor for the tumbler turner
Lowes, Home Depot or Amazon
Thank you.
Great video. Do you have to sand it before you put a clear coat of epoxy on it?
Thanks for the tutorial I now feel confident to try one. And thanks for not having kids running around in the background.
Where do you purchase your supplies from..like the tumblers and epoxy?
I'm only 5 min into your video (which is good) but the amount of glitter that you're losing is heartbreaking. Do you combine that glitter later and just make another tumbler with that glitter? I'm just curious. You're glitter is too beautiful to not be able to use again.
Nothing is lost. And yes, collected and used again as a mix. :)
Pretty
Where do you purchase your epoxy and what size do they come in?
nice
If you don't add a decal, would you need to add another coat of epoxy? Is is this one coat sufficient?
Nissa, I would add more thin coat over this as the glitter is still kind of on top of the epoxy, so you wouldn't have a smooth surface.
Roll Tide Baby!! Thank you for the great tutorial. Can you use a hairdryer or do you need a heat gun
Yep, A hairdryer would probably work, too.
Do you put a coat over top the glitter layer before adding the decal?
cant u take it of to put the glittrr?nd how long to dry in between?
I just had a epic fail... maybe not enough expoy.
Do you know a way to strip the tumbler to start over
Use paint stripper then you will have to sand any remnants off
or boil the tumbler. softens the epoxy so it can be pulled off slowly

Thanks ladies... I got the Klein stripper from Walmart and use that.
This is fantastic, so pretty and what a great tutorial from you, thank you, your motor for turning, what type is it if you don’t mind me asking
Won't the base paint and epoxy be bad? Because when you drink from it you're lips are touching both?
stephanie ramos I am not sure I understand your question. The epoxy I use is FDA compliant. No paint is exposed.
You did an awesome job I love that color
Wow that is so pretty! Great tutorial, I’m new very informative, this just might be my first one!
I love this tutorial. I have one question. After this method as cured, is there a need for another coat of epoxy?
Yes, it isn't smooth. I do one more layer of epoxy (thin layer) and then my vinyl and final layer of epoxy.
? Help! Lol

Gorgeous
THANK YOU!
Great video!! I have a question... how do you prep your cup before paint?
Before paint I simply wash with Dawn dish soap.
I love these tumbers. I want to get started but so worried about the epoxy. How do I get started? I have a cricut maker to make decals. How cups have you runied before you made one great. I love these as gifts. Please any advice.... Thank you Aaron

Where would I purchase what the cup is turning on the idea is great. Please advise.
This was one my husband made me, but I now use a Kraken Mini Rotisserie (you can find them on Etsy).
Wow! I love this!
What would you charge for this cup?
Thanks for the video!! Very cool... what kind of tumbler did you say you were using?
The one in this video is a 24oz HOGG tumbler from www.thestainlessdepotcompany.com
Let’s Sing Gitter Force Gitter Force go go
What do you do with the glitter and epoxy that falls on your tray?
after it spins for 8-10 hours it's done?
What is the red you're using?
I came across another video of someone making these, I like your videos more. Thank you.
Well, thank you so much. Mine is the 'original'. LOL I believe this video started it all. And I appreciate the compliment.
Awesome!! Loved it! You did a wonderful piece!
WOW! I love this! New sub and great tutorial! I cannot wait to try this!
How long do you let it spin for?
very beautiful thank you learned alot
Wow! love it. doing my first one now, really fun. Doing a peekaboo so i can't wait to see how the final turns out.
A GlitterFlow Peekaboo tumbler? That sounds pretty awesome!
What type of epoxy do you use and where do you purchase the tumblers?
Jarry Adorno I use ProMarine epoxy. lddy.no/73h0 And I buy my tumblers from www.thestainlessdepotcompany.com
Love the tutorial! And what are you using to turn the cup while you work with the glitter?
April Coker it is a turner my husband built me. I have since upgraded my rotisserie to a Kraken Mini which you can fin on Etsy.
do you ever use acrylic paint
i tried my first one last night.. i had a cpl bubbles come up in the epoxy... maybe i should have used more epoxy??
Jami Baumgartner heat helps to release the bubbles that come to the surface.
Beautiful. I'm going to have to try this.
Where can I order ? I want a rainbow tumbler. Let me know. Thank you.
jc navas Sorry I missed your comment. You can view other designs and message me on Facebook at J.Marie Designed.
Thank you, this is awesome! What white is that, it’s so multicolored! I love it! Looks recollections? Is is called ‘white’? Thanks!
The white is from Feather Bear Bling I believe that one is Magnolia.
Or it might be Pandora
How did u paint it before the glitter and where u get the silver glitter
kayla Tognarini I just spray paint it with my base coat color. And the silver is Bling from recollections I believe
Do you put another coat of epoxy on after the glitter coat drys?
Yes, you would need another coat (or maybe two).
what do u paint it with tobegine with?sprey paint arcrilic paint or what?
Just white spray paint.
if u want to add pics to it like they do the waterslide whats the best to use so the paper will stick to glitter can u use modpodge?then do u epoxy over it
Do you have a tutorial for the spinner? And did you let this rotate all night while it dried?
There are lots of tutorials on how to build a turner out there. I always let mine spin 8-12 hours.
