I have owned 2 sti's and still think this is a biased review, give the RS a chance, have you even driven one?

I used to own a 05 STi modded to 420awhp and with pretty extensive list of suspension parts (bushings, braces, quicker steering rack, etc.). I love STi and I miss my 05. Having that said, what the heck is up with all the hate towards RS? If you are a true motoring enthusiast, you appreciate all kinds of cars. You don't hate on other cars just because it competes with the one you own and might turn out t be better than the car you so dearly love. That is what a narrow-minded stuck-up person who sees the world in white or black does. Come on. Grow up. Knocking on a car based on what you read as a possibility on the internet forums is pretty darn lame and stupid. Just wait until facts are verified, which should happen pretty darn soon as there are many tuning companies working on this car at the moment.

When he said the Subaru had the best awd system he lost all credibility.

you're trying way to hard to try and justify your STi to yourself...

I bought a 2018 RS a few months ago.... It's a wonderful car & always puts a smile on my face. Mine's 100% stock & behaves very nicely on weekly drives or commutes, although it's fast when you want it to be.

Sorry but your knowledge on the RS isn't anything more than what you've read or heard. I'm not saying that in a horrible way either. I can understand that it's because it's the first RS in the US.

If you just turn on Drift mode no more issues with turning radius. Just whip the rear around and boom you just did a U-Turn.

Knowing now that those were the most important "CONS" to consider about the RS now I want it even more... lol

I traded my 2013 STI for a 2017 RS. Wow what a difference! The RS reminds me of my 01 zo6 Corvette that I added a 410 final gear to. The RS comes with a 406 gear. Driving at freeway speeds and you want to pass someone, no need to downshift just press the gas in 6th gear and it goes. Amazing! I can't believe I bought a Ford but I love it! The STI sucked after about 60mph and don't get me started on how crappy the stereo was in the STI...

who buys a RS to pull out a truck out of the snow?

Those are great points for serious car guys. You probably can put a better number on it since you know more but I'd say 80%+ of the STI/EVO owners won't ever go past Stage 2 let alone build the motor to put serious power. And the RS would definitely handle an additional 40 - 50hp. So for most buyers the fact that you can't easily put another 200+ hp on RS is kinda irrelevant since they wouldn't have done it even if they could.

I've been successfully pulling 330lbs of torque on a 1.6 liter Fiesta ST stage 3 mountune built on E30 running it for now 50k+ miles and not a problem. I find it a little hard to believe that they Focus RS can't pull much more than that without breaking. Get real!

I'm a Subaru wrx owner and I love Subarus, but I'm disheartened to see your hate video. If anything, you should make a video criticizing subaru for not trying to compete with the ford focus rs by not making their Japanese only 2.0 sti engines available to the rest of the masses at a price comparable to the Ford Focus RS.

I do love my STI, but I hope a friend of mine buys an RS so I can check it out! I can't wait to see one in person and hopefully drive it!

Drove an STI, bought an RS. You are correct, the Subaru is much more of a tow truck. Maybe the STI is better for aftermarket tweaks. Nothing needs messing with on the RS. Fast out of the box.

man do Subaru owners annoy me I've been with subaru for a while and let me tell you the STI is maxxxxxxed out also. I see them broken every day

The Evo X has a greater turning radius than the RS, and the Evo X was widely regarded as performing better than the STI. So, what's your point?
