This is one of the better slashers and was a welcome surprise.
Hell Night is a 1981 American slasher film directed by Tom DeSimone, written by Randy Feldman, and starring Linda Blair. The film depicts a night of fraternity hazing set in an old manor, during which a deformed killer terrorizes and murders many of the college students. The plot blends elements of slasher films and haunted house-themed films.
Director Chuck Russell served as an executive producer, while his long-time collaborator Frank Darabont served as a production assistant - Розваги
Good review Matt this a very underrated film hardly ever gets mentioned!
Pick up the scream factory blu ray Matt it's a really good edition
This was a good one. The blu-ray is from Scream Factory btw. I have it. It has good features.
Cool
This in a way is a bit underrated in my humble opinion. It's the atmosphere rather than creative kill count that kept my undivided attention as well as location, edit, pace& score that leaves me very impressed!! The tension is great& I've always enjoyed genre film for its isolation and this one doesn't disappoint. I felt it got over shadow by previous slasher films& Blair iconic excorist performance. I'd like to see shout! Factory or arrow get their hands on this one :-) me& 2 associate caught this one at blockbuster, decided to have a smoke session& enjoy, cool times! By the way,I just discovered that Wes craven did a sequel to his original the hills have eyes in '84 or '85 same year as nightmare on elm street! It gets no respect because of budget& those that felt craven wouldn't cut it but I checked out the trailer& was entertained plus it's on UA-cam :-)
Scream factory put out hell night last year on blu ray and it is an amazing release with great features.
couldn't agree more. CRIMINALLY underrated slasher. I believe See no Evil with WWE Kane was a remake of this. Linda Blair was so hot in this IMO
Oh The actress from the exorcist.1 and 2
Another fine job bro on a flick that is pretty decent I wouldn't mind picking it up on blu ray too!
He he, this was a great horror film! Finally you have gotten yourself a paypal account too.
Yeah I thought that was unique when that guy said 'I'm gonna get help' and he does. Or at least tries. Like you said in any other movie, he'd have died before getting to anyone.
Tubi has a great selection of movies for free. I’ve had that app downloaded for about 2 years now. But never watched this movie. You should check out PlutoTV.
I remember seeing this cover at Hollywood video and being curious about it.
YES Paton should have lived... one of the ONLY characters in horror to actually try to go get help!
I have the drive in double feature DVD with Fade to Black and Hell Night, both good flicks
That's how I saw this film. It was on that double set. Unfortunately, I didn't like Hell Night all that much. I liked Fade To Black a lot more. Not the worst slasher, but I found it unmemorable imo.
I loved this film to death Matt. Scream Factory has the ultimate blue ray, Matt.
Matt, have you seen the horror/western Bone Tomahawk?
I didn't really care for it.
I'm very anxious to check out this brutal western starring the infamous stuntman Mike!!! I caught the trailer& it reminds me of the hardcore western THE SALVATION,which I very much got a kick out of.
If you enjoy films like Deliverance and The Hills Have Eyes and you appreciate Westerns then you might really like Bone Tomahawk. It is very brutal, yet well written and acted.
@@GeppettoProductions I'm looking forward to it :-) westerns has ALWAYS been the center of character development and interaction. When you add to it,like spaghetti westerns etc your in for, what I like to call, punch with a spike!!! That's one of the reasons I appreciate The Revenant with Leo,that's a western with spike!!!!
Clerks 3 confirmed now, I dont see why. Whats with these overdue sequels lately. This would have been cool in like 2007.
You probably like this more than The Exorsist dont you?
Honestly yeah.
