I love how he was A: Older than Buh Buh and D-Von, B: ready to get an actual job outside the wrestling business, and C: Willing to watch himself go through this again. Maven, you're a national treasure my man.
Spike had enough respect in the back that he could not only pitch an idea to Undertaker, but convince him to go through with it despite his objections.
Some people act chokeslam and as a Deadman for they gimmick and spikes was to take a monster bump. I say this half jokingly I know he had a move set and all that.
Woah I didn't realize he was there either. But pre X Division taking off in like 05 or 06 lots of talent went there without anyone realizing it because most were just one offs.
Growing up watching Spike take all those bumps, I thought I'd have read his obituary by now. Amazing man. Inspired me to learn how bumps are taken and how to make it look good.
I love that you continue to put out amazing content Maven. It allows us as fans to see and understand the reality of the wrestling business. Continue with the amazing work mate.
I know his brother in law, and have seen him around at family parties. Hard not to ask him 10000 questions when you see him just drinking a beer and eating a burger but he’s a super cool guy
No thats hard to do, just ask him if its ok. I was in film and music the owner we worked for took us to dinners and places and we hung out with Bruce Willis, he told us Never ask my friends for autographs and 20 questions please. That was his rules... having a small dinner with Bruce and not ask anything was so hard, same for Maxx Payne, Mick Foley, Steve Miller from the Band, etc etc.. BUT becoming cool with them even for that moment like a party with Spike is good stories.

Ngl those 3 powerbombs made brock a automatic star and a big reason why people were so interested in him. As for spike it was a normal monday for him😂
5 Powerbombs?! It was supposed to be 5?!?
Sidekicks don't work! But Brock Lesnar Powerbombs do.
@@wiiiilsoooonlmao
Right? The craziest part to me is Spike thinks he’s a wuss for tapping out after 3 power bombs but those 3 powerbombs were absolutely vicious
@@MoSaladLFC I'm surprised he lasted 1, let alone 3.
@@QuickManEXE as maven said before: "can't fake gravity" and "gravity is not your friend."
This is a great format interviewing former wrestlers while watching their old matches. Keep it up 🎉
I love how he was A: Older than Buh Buh and D-Von, B: ready to get an actual job outside the wrestling business, and C: Willing to watch himself go through this again. Maven, you're a national treasure my man.
I really appreciate all of your videos, Mr. Huffman. They give a lot of insight into the sport
You always keep it interesting!
When Spike Dudley wakes up in the morning, he gets put through a table
Spike Dudley's headbutt in those SvR games definitely helped you get out of jams.
lol yes it did online
Thank you. That was fun.I would like to see more of you with other Wrestlers go over matches.😃
This was a great video, Maven. Love how candid Spike is.
@@cmbells7736 huh?
@@wingerdinghe must be speaking Martian or something
Hey Maven, Could you share some stories of your TNA run?? Many people don't know about your time in TNA.
Love your content 🔥🔥
I agree good video idea
Woah I didn't realize he was there either. But pre X Division taking off in like 05 or 06 lots of talent went there without anyone realizing it because most were just one offs.
I had no idea of his TNA run such a good idea
This is crazy coz a week ago I thought ‘how cool would it be if Maven had Spike Dudley on his show talking about his bumps??’ And here we are!!
ASK……… & you shall receive !
Thanks Maven, Spike is one of the most underrated of the era. Hell yeah Spike!
Spike was freaking awesome. This was an easy watch...you and your team are killing it Maven!!! Keep going!
How is this guy still ok after everything he went through? 💀
Who said he's okay?
Not only that but he is smart af. He works as a accountant.
Not all scars are physical. 😂 mental hurdles are a thing too. Glad to see he looks such good shape.
Lol I don't know about that you can tell he regrets a lot of the shit
Before steve o, we had spike dudley
'I dont think theres 1 human being thats watched that and said 'why didnt he take a 4th one' hahaha popped me
I’m laughing so hard because Maven is absolutely right. No one needed to see a fourth one. That shit was brutal! 😂
Cool on Brock for not continuing on.
After the first I'm thinking spikes dead.
Met spike at a wrestlemania x-8 promo tour in Toronto. Nicest guy ever gave a 9 year old boy an amazing memory ❤
Wow how i miss ecw and this was a great insight into it which makes you appreciate the work by the wrestlers for our entertainment. Thanks to you all
I absolutly love these videos Maven. I hope you have more surprise guests and match insights lined up ❤😊
If Spike said no to a bump, I can only assume whoever he was working with that night wanted to shoot him out of a cannon.
😂😂😂
Growing up watching Spike take all those bumps, I thought I'd have read his obituary by now. Amazing man. Inspired me to learn how bumps are taken and how to make it look good.
Mike Awesome vs. Spike Dudley is legitimately one of my all-time favorite matches, so happy to see Spike doing well
This is joyous, Ive become a fan of Maven again but him revisiting gems like Spike Dudley, this is just fantastic.
Now that you featured D-Von & Spike, Bubba is the only one left.
Big Dick has entered the chat.
They need to put Maven through a table.
Bubba is an ass
No pls
No bubba is too rude and hard headed
I'm glad you did this video. Spike Dudley was awesome. I'm glad he is getting his flowers.
It blows my mind how Spike is still alive and articulated. Dude is one tough son of a bitch...
It's so cool seeing Spike as a guest, one of my favourites growing up!
It’s good to see him period. And the fact he looks like he’s relatively healthy is great! That man’s body was abused 😮
Ain’t no way. Never thought I’d see spike again. He was so underrated.
@26:23 "You're wired different" 😂😂😂 That's why we love Spike Dudley
Love this style of video. I would love to see you do this with one of the modern death match wrestlers. Seeing their thoughts on insane spots would be great. Shlak would be amazing for it
Yes! Yes! Maven comes through again! Spike is BY FAR my favorite wrestler of all time. I wore his t shirt at Smackdown when they came to my city, and people were giving me mad props at the arena.
15:00 Maven: "what the hell is wrong with you Spike?" 😅
Spike While rubbing his brow: I hated the fire.
Maven 🤨: Ya think?
I’ve been blessed to see all from 1980-Now I’m from NY I’ve been to every ECW Supercard/PPV from 1993-2001 the only one I didn’t attend was Heatwave 2000 in CA many memories of ECW what a life of wrestling throughout the decades
Thank you for this interview!
Spike for #HOF, he definitely paid his dues!
Maven, longtime wrestling fan here.. I had no idea you had a UA-cam channel, but I just subscribed and I love the content!
6:27 "Oh Bubba was just stupid" 😂
