My family started watching WWF in 1997 and quit around 06. When Stone Cold came out it was the loudest place ever and it is still unmatched to this day. Absolutely a legend.
I was there for the raw segment with Stone Cold. My mum got tickets and a plane trip all the way from England to Los Angeles for me to see that raw episode for my 12th birthday. Its genuinely one of the defining moments of my childhood and probably the best birthday present i ever got. Funnily, i was in the toilet when stone cold made his entrance, and the glass break and pop was so loud i heard it from where i was peeing. Safe to say i did not wash my hands, and ran back pretty much still in mid flow lol. It was the best part of the show -- and you are right then when stone cold was in the ring everything was just different. Hunter was accurate in describing what the business requires from you. I know that the mindset within the company has become more friendly towards new athletes. Which is really good because they tell you upfront what you need but they don't try to make it sound impossible at the same time. WWE is way healthier internally than when Maven was there for sure.
You're too humble Maven :) You made a pretty big impact in the Wrestling world, people still know you. You were no Stone Cold Steve Austin but you sure as hell were the best Maven we ever saw :)

He shouldn't be in the HoF but as a backstage interviewer or commentator he would likely be HoF material provided he worked long enough. They really should hire him.
You were the first person on TV to take the f5. Spike funkaki and a couple other people took it in dark matches when he was first coming up that are available on youtube. But the F5 his first 6 months was amazing. He absolutely launched you and so many other guys. That's one of my favorite moves to take. But every once in a while you eat shit on it and it hurts. Haha but Brock used to just fucking throw people and spin them so much and now he basically just throws them up over his head and drops them straight down and it looks like shit
Triple H had definitely looked at you with every comment about getting laid because you have that sort of atmosphere which others there hadn't which he could tell that you're handsome and articulate and likely to make it and marks would be drawn to you in attraction. He was very right. He'd seemed to hope that you wouldn't grow an ego, and had checked you at the gate. It would be amazing for you to have him on the channel, when he has time for it!
@@MavenKHuffman, definitely. He's making so many awesome changes to the company which have been a long time coming, and after this past Wrestlemania being such a major event even by 'mania standards, his workload has to be at an all-time high. Still, if you can catch him in the right timeframe like Logan Paul, you're at a great trajectory for views to be as worthwhile as shooting with an old student of The Game, it's possible. From that episode of Tough Enough to him loaning you ring boots and the Evolution offer storyline and other anecdotes which you have in the Maven Information Vault to he being WWE Head of Creative and you being one of the top wrestling content creators, it's one hell of a path, and top booking. Did you have much interaction with the ring announcers to talk about how they would introduce you during your entrance?
It’s crazy how you went from being a school teacher and coach to living out the dream of being a WWF/WWE wrestler. It’s very inspiring and it almost puts the average person in your shoes during your run with the company while listening to you talk about your time there. I could only imagine. P.S I think it would be cool if the WWE brought you back maybe in an on screen role. Or if you can still go…hey I’d be all for it lol.
Maven, you lived the dream even if it wasn't long lived my man. 3 things I would like before I die, to be stone cold stunnered, undertaker tombstoned and Kane chokeslammed. If Rowdy Roddy was still around I would just want him to berate me for 5 minutes.

Nice sell of the Stunner! I'd forrgotten you doing that. I watched it live and almost missed it for a snack break.
All these videos Maven has made and posted here for us to enjoy, are just fantastic I think. Not only was Maven a decent wrestler, but after watching his videos it occurs to me that Maven is also a very decent human being. Humble, eloquent, charismatic and very, VERY authentic.
His most iconic moment is his Theme song AROUND THE STARS
This is actually for some reason one of those random segments that I just always remembered, and fondly at that. You guys were perfect cannon fodder for a prime rattlesnake.
Love Maven’s Friday uploads.
Maven I think it’s a crime that you’re only on 500k subscribers… they should be in the millions! I’m loving your channel and the real talk that goes on. Keep it up man! Big love from the UK ❤
Lets go Maven!! You were such an underrated superstar, always love listening to you recap your career.
Thank you for the memories of our childhoods and the ones you create here as well! On a personal note, I suffer from depression and your videos have been my daily therapy, so thanks for your content too! You never know what may save lives!
Maven, Could you share some stories of your TNA Run?? Btw, Big Fan of Your Content from India 🇮🇳
Without a doubt one of my favorite UA-cam channels. I just love these behind the scenes, tell it how it is videos. You are giving wrestling fans of your generation such an amazing look
Love the videos maven, you never fail to entertain me
That stunner sell was spot on 😂 I loved this segment back in the day, laughed my ass off
2:17 - Triple H heel run in a nutshell
Your account on your history in professional sports and entertainment makes me want to keep watching. Thank you sir!
Hunter was accurate in describing what the business requires from you. I know that the mindset within the company has become more friendly towards new athletes. Which is really good because they tell you upfront what you need but they don't try to make it sound impossible at the same time. WWE is way healthier internally than when Maven was there for sure.
They got soft.
You're too humble Maven :)
You made a pretty big impact in the Wrestling world, people still know you.
You were no Stone Cold Steve Austin but you sure as hell were the best Maven we ever saw :)
That was a beautiful F5 bump
i feel you won for many reasons, you were a great wrestler, worker, and you have mic skills. You were the jack of all trades, Unless you are over 6foot 4 you would have to grind to make it in wwe in those days, You had it all the requirements. To this day you entertain me and this time is from your YT Channel which proves why you are good at what you do .
1:29 - I didn't know Josh Matthews tried out as a wrestler. I always thought he was always just backstage interviewer or a commentator.
He ended up getting injured in training and they liked him so much they kept him on as a commentator/ interviewer
That's not a good idea, Mr White.
Josh was one of the best ones there.
Kurt: Who are you again?
Maven: I’m the guy not hiding the fact I’m bald (that would have been money)
Maven needs to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and also work with the WWE come on it deserves it this is one of the best channels on UA-cam please keep making incredible videos Big fan from Nicaragua
He shouldn't be in the HoF but as a backstage interviewer or commentator he would likely be HoF material provided he worked long enough. They really should hire him.
The smile you had talking about stone cold talking shit to you and Simon is the happiness im striving for lol
Mavin, I love you brother and wish you all the best. Watching you commentate on this was fantastic. Been waiting on it for a while.
Ohhh I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to sit down with Hunter on here. I doubt he could with his current position and schedule
He's really there for the best. Many all-time 🐐s will come, and I have a feeling that he's one.
King Jerry Lawler " He got the future of an ice cube 🧊 "😂😂
And here having more iconic moments today!
8:45 woah Portland? That's awesome, I had no idea, that's where I'm from. If you're ever out here, let's get a drink, my guy😂 one of the few UA-camrs I'd actually want to meet and have a drink with.
I know it probably isn't worth making an entire video about, but one of my fondest memories from the era you wrestled was the energy that Lilian Garcia put into announcing your name every time you stepped into the ring. Did you have much interaction with the ring announcers to talk about how they would introduce you during your entrance?
This is definitely worth exploring!!!
I have always loved Maven. I still remember watching Tuff Snuff when it was on the air. I would love to see you back in the WWE is some instance. When people tell me anout your channel i say listen here youngin i Knew Maven before he was UA-camr Maven. Proud of what youve made. Congratz.
The man the myth the legend
