Tbh as soon as he started opening it up I could guess that the problem was how small the case was, everything jammed together in there with no airflow for cooling
hey boris, i'd recommend you make your radiator/aio fans as a intake and the rest of the fans in ur case as exhaust, you have a dust filter on your front panel that will filter out the dust and at the back panel which is currently intake there is no dust filters, just turning around the configuration of ur current fans will help with dust
also pulling air in from the front will allow more air to pass through the system since the front of the case has more room for air to come through which would make it cooler in the case
@@madkills10 only really applicable in passive cooling, as soon as you introduce active cooling in form of fans, that effect won't play much importance
That cooler wich is supposed to cool both CPU and GPU is a pretty impresive piece of engineering but it's a fail in real life. That's why i love my 2013 self-built desktop PC, full tower case, perfect workhorse, runs like in day one.
It may not have fail so bad if it was hooked up to the CPU fan header. SFF and i9/3080 combo is always a bad idea, but at least that's a less bad idea than whatever it came with.
Same here, self built with purposefully big case because I knew I'd be upgrading stuff eventually. It runs like a charm too and I know what I'll need to upgrade next.
Great video, as always, Boris! I'd like to point out the orientation of the radiator, though. Now, I can only imagine you don't want to touch the internals of your PC ever again, but I think it is worth mentioning. It is recommended to have the hoses close to the bottom of the case, so that any trapped air doesn't get in the way of the coolant.
There's some truth to this, but as long as the pump itself isn't the highest point of the loop, it should be fine. Worst thing that could happen is, that he's gonna hear tiny bubbles near the top of the radiator. Now if the pump was higher than the radiator, that's a problem.
I already knew that you had done it right when you went to boot the machine. All it needed was a big case, room to breathe and stay cool. Nice logic with fan directions on your part too, Boris. Nice bargain hardware for you & a bit of "fun" fixing it. ;)
I picked a big tower as my first case just because I thought it would be easier to build in. Everytime I see AIO PC's or smaller towers, I'm glad I picked the case I did.
I have a 3080 in a midsized tower that I originally had to house a 2070. Lets just say that the case barely closes, and the plexi-glass cover has to bend around the power cable.

Finally the best animator is back ❤
Love the videos. I cleaned my UA-cam history now I get all the notifications of new videos.
I honestly enjoyed the animated and real life mix of the video!
Boris, that gpu dissipation looks heavy, look out for those metal sticks that prevent bending
There was a support already in the video
@@TensaZangetsu1200 not enough support
Love Boris’s new style! Blyatiful art Boris
This is the kind of content that lured me into falling in love with this channel all those years ago. Thanks again Boris for making my day
Tbh as soon as he started opening it up I could guess that the problem was how small the case was, everything jammed together in there with no airflow for cooling
made my day, as an IT guy, i rly enjoyed this video, ty Boris
That is the craziest cooling customization for 3080 i've ever seen 🤣
well its not custom if its from the factory like that, so gigabyte must just be crazy
@@Fruggggg you mean aorus
@@Dumify no i meant gigabyte

hey boris, i'd recommend you make your radiator/aio fans as a intake and the rest of the fans in ur case as exhaust, you have a dust filter on your front panel that will filter out the dust and at the back panel which is currently intake there is no dust filters, just turning around the configuration of ur current fans will help with dust
also pulling air in from the front will allow more air to pass through the system since the front of the case has more room for air to come through which would make it cooler in the case
Not to mention that heat rises, use physics to your advantage. Draw cold air in the front, it will heat up and rise out of the rear and back
@@madkills10 only really applicable in passive cooling, as soon as you introduce active cooling in form of fans, that effect won't play much importance
Yes, turn them arround, and the fan on the GPU is also turned the wrong way
Water tubes should be coming from the bottom to prevent bubbles from going towards the pump.
Yo boris i hope you stay well during the mobilization
Worried about you Boris, how are you?
He dosent live in russia tho
🥺
@@henrischmidt7786 oh my bad then :skull:
boris is most likely an estonian citizen so no need to worry, he should be fine
I just love your videos, your commentary style, and.. everything.
I love watching how far Boris’s animation skill has come
Great video, as always, Boris!
I actually learned something about fan speed and it's relative temperature and how a loud the fans should be.
I know nothing about building PCs but I'm looking to start. Appreciate the insight.

this audio needs to be turned into a meme 🤣🤣🤣
I already knew that you had done it right when you went to boot the machine. All it needed was a big case, room to breathe and stay cool. Nice logic with fan directions on your part too, Boris. Nice bargain hardware for you & a bit of "fun" fixing it. ;)
We can tell you really enjoyed making this video, pure quality
Even though I'm not that into computers and understand very little of it, this was actually a surprisingly good watch
Aaaaaa boris tech stuff! Such a nice thing to see you tinkering and having fun
I have to say I'm very impressed comrade. I could never be able to pull off the stuff you did with that PC
Slavic engineering at it's best
I got lucky with a pre-built back in 2017. I just pick a part every year and do an upgrade and it's been trusty so far.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COMRADE CAT! Boris! I was so happy to see this video! WE LOVE YOU
Glad to see boris in my recommendations more and more. Hope your doing well man.
Artyoooom
The Boris speaks again, I'm blessed
Laughed through this whole episode... Thank you Boris for always making my day!
Honestly, the massive gpu block is very fitting for a slav pc. 10/10 build.
Artyom is 4 years old now and is no longer a kitten
I feel old
How good to do you want the animation to be?
Boris: Yes
After watching you accidentally sit on your laptop when you were living in a car, it is wonderfully satisfying to watch you build this pc. Way to go Slav King Boris! May the joys of gaming and video making be yours for years to come. Also happy birthday Artyom…I know you miss him, but you’re right, now he’s lived outside he will never be happy as indoor kitty in apartment. You’re good to let him enjoy the life he loves. Great video, as always! Love seeing Boris be Boris. ❤️
I remember fixing a prebuild during peak 2021 gpu crisis for my cousin.
Man that hot garbage is an achievement in being so crap.
Hey I got this on my recommended! Proud of you Boris!
Please keep making videos, we need you!
i have to admit, being tasked with buiding a machine for someone is an enjoyable, if not dying art. cant wait for my next build
