Does the 4iiii Precision 2 fit on your T1500 frame? I did the clearence test for the 4iiii Precision 2 power meter and I dont believe it will work. But the Precision 3 being lower profile it looks to be ok, but pretty close to touching.
Hey Patrick, I'm just coming back to this video because I finally got my first ride done on my T1500, and my stem (the same integrated handlebar-stem that you have) kept slipping! I'd set the preload with the top cap, then tighten the stem to 6Nm on each bolt, and 10 minutes of riding later, it gets loose, and i can feel some play in the fork over bumps. I did it 4 times before I just gave up and came home. I wonder what I did wrong. Do you know how much you torqued the expansion plug that goes into the steerer and how much torque you used for the stem bolts? thank you!
Compression Plug: 12nm, Compression Cap: torque to it's snug usually around 5-6nm, Stem Bolts: 4-5nm - One reason your steerer could be slipping is the fork may not have been cut down enough for the top cap to properly grip the compression plug. You may need to a spacer to accommodate this.
@@PatrickLino Patrick, you are so awesome. Thank you so much for the comprehensive response. I actually had the same thought about my fork not being cut down enough, and the top cap 'bottoming out' onto the compression plug, but I double checked, and there's about 3mm of space when the cap is put on, and when initially tightening, the headset is really solid). Are you sure about the 12Nm for the compression plug (the black metal wedge that goes into the steerer)? If so, that is 100% the cause of my issues, as I am only doing 6Nm currently! Doesn't that seem really high though? I'm worried about the steerer cracking with that amount of force :/
how many road bike frames do you have now? Anyway, looks like a really nice bike, and you made a super fun video again. You deserve more subscribers (but dont become a sellout :) )
Awesome build! Thanks for sharing! Did you pull out the cable guides for the front and rear derailleurs or leave them and trim down the one for the front derailleur?
That is a great question. For the front derailleur I just trimmed the plastic cable guide down just below where in the inner shift cable exits the frame. I assumed (at first) I would able to route the outer shift cables entirely through the frame, but the guides just below the bottom bracket are only wide enough for just the inner shift cables.
@@PatrickLino Thanks for the reply! I plan on doing the same thing with the front derailleur guide, but hadn't seen any build vids talk about it or show anything with the FD up close. I left the RD guide in.
@@johnnytavo I'm actually not sure whether or not the plastic guides were intended to remain in the frame. I've always removed them on past bikes once the cables have been routed, but I don't think there's a wrong answer. My assumption is the frame is smooth enough in the inside to not affect shifting performance. So far I haven't had an issue.
Hey, Great bike! Need to ask about the BB, which is it? And is it running smoothly? There is a lot of talk about non durability of BB86 compatible frames with Dub cranks. I have a similar frame and a quarq Dfour PM with dub. Still pretty confused about which BB to get for a longer and durable life of BB! Hope to get your attention soon
Hey Pat! Love the build! I have one in Glacier white. My question is, what did you torque the compression plug to? I also have the integrated bar and stem. My headset keeps getting loose on me. Winspace told me 8-10nm. I choose 8nm and applied carbon paste the second time around. It's loose right now. I nervous to go to 10nm 😬. Any advice?
Sup Christian! I torqued the compression plug to around 10-11nm for now. I've only ridden it a couple of miles outdoors since it's still Winter here in Chicago. In the past, I've torqued my Allez Sprint down to about 12-13nm with no issues. If your plug is slipping, you may need to tighten it further if you're running a lot of spacers below your stem, but especially if you have a lot of spacers above. Let me know how it goes. You're not gonna break anything with 13nm of force. 8-10nm is more or less a guide not a harden rule.
@@PatrickLino Hey Pat, 10nm did the trick. I'm running 1 big spacer and a thin one. I think a ten and a five. So 15mm spacers. None on top of the stem. I had to cut like 1mm of steerer to make it work. No more slipping! The trails that I ride here in Tampa have some bumps and cracks so I'm always kind of bunny hopping over them. I don't get air or anything, I just unload the bike so there is very little weight when I go over imperfections on the path.
Winspace is nice indeed, but after shipping and taxes it works to approx. 2000€. Way too much money for just the frame when I can walk into Decathlon and walk out with Van Rysel carbon bike equipped with 105 groupset and hydraulic disc brakes for that money.

@@NeutralGenericUser yep 8-12nm for the plug that goes into the steer and expands. The 6mm hex bolt!
@@PatrickLino Thank you so so much!
sweet bike
Why thank you!!!
how many road bike frames do you have now? Anyway, looks like a really nice bike, and you made a super fun video again. You deserve more subscribers (but dont become a sellout :) )
Haha thanks Milan. Currently at 5 road bikes for the year. Need to sell a couple 🤣
Great job and awesome bike! Is that a KMC chain?
Looks like a SUMC to me.
@@ChinaCycling I'll check it out, thanks and ooouuuuut.
@@mudbone59 A few different brands/sellers sell these chains. Just make sure "SUMC" is on the actual chain links and you're good.
@@PatrickLino Thanks mang! China Cycling replied and told me also. Sorry you couldn't get out on that new steed.
@@PatrickLino We usually leave them in. Just trim them down (usually only the front one needs trimming)
@@WinspaceBikes ahh good to know for future builds
Dope 🤟🏿🙌🏿👏🏿💪🏿. Whats the cost / entire project ? I am thinking about using winspace to build my gravel bike
Ehhhh not cheap, but cheaper than the "name brand" alternatives with comparable components and performance. About $4000ish USD
@@PatrickLino I am thinking about using winspace for my gravel setup. thanks for info. Appreciate it 🙌🏿🤟🏿.
@@paulhance1984 Good stuff!
So every time you lay down an album, it gets added to my play queue.
Haha should I do a video on my vinyl collection??
@@PatrickLino def. Into audio gear as well?
@@jaggedsphere I used to produce music back in the day. Before cycling took over lol
@@PatrickLino nice! I bet you still have good gear for playing tunes. Interesting music is the most important thing, good speakers next.
Bro..it took me an hour to figure out the seat post..nightmare 😂😂

Hey, Great bike!
Need to ask about the BB, which is it? And is it running smoothly?
There is a lot of talk about non durability of BB86 compatible frames with Dub cranks.
I have a similar frame and a quarq Dfour PM with dub. Still pretty confused about which BB to get for a longer and durable life of BB!
Hope to get your attention soon
5000 miles no issues 👍🏾
much appreciated @@PatrickLino
@@ChristianRodriguez-fs3ch awesome to hear!
dope!
Installing the front derailleur prior to the crankset, that one got me hard LOL

Winspace is nice indeed, but after shipping and taxes it works to approx. 2000€. Way too much money for just the frame when I can walk into Decathlon and walk out with Van Rysel carbon bike equipped with 105 groupset and hydraulic disc brakes for that money.
You should just do that then. Winspace is not for everyone.
