    Hey frérot! Thanks for that.
Indeed, I'm still after the Ian Bonighton LP, and the two Ross Bandt on the same label ^^ I have the Grano, but the other cover, also have that syrian LP, Omen, the Basle one, the Smalley. Acezantez is the one I'm missing of Detoni, and it's the one I've been aware of for the longest... Sikkim sounds really interesting, thanks for playing that! Bisous

Very happy you enjoyed it and hope the love behind it gives you some positive energy..as I said no surprises really but maybe you might feel like revisiting the ones you have..😃.
Well I do have one of the ros lp's for you still..😉..we both need the grain silo lp..lol..that is tough.
I have no doubt the boington will eventually end up on your shelf's as you of all people would definitely appreciate his sensibilities and range as a composer..every piece is interesting and has something to offer..I remember in your den Bosch video seeing the ensemble lp..that was the one of his I too was aware of the longest..but I never thought I would have a copy..I don't know why I was thinking of the il gruppo lp but..lol.i had a feeling that sikkim lp would be something you would appreciate as you share a love of ethnographic lp's and music which I think some of your followers forget..😃..well guess I will get youna copy of that as well..❤..hope your feeling better daily brother..much love chris

Good morning Kris. I hope you are doing well. Just wanted to let you know that I gave you a little shout in the video that I posted recently. The music that you share, sent and everything in between continues to play a factor in my ongoing journey with music. I hope that you get some time in to check it out. Sending a whole lot of love from New England. I hope your mom and you are doing better than ever~

Hey Chris, my wife crocheted a hat not unlike yours. Her thinking was it looked like a record on my head I think 😅 rather dished and warped like me........
You are right about library music but put in more politely than myself. Alot is well played but dull. That's why as you said patience is appreciated not just going out and buying what you want. I think that has really scuppered the VC IMO. Fair enough if your young you go out but what you want it's generally going to be more mainstream most of the time. I am very into sampling, looping and sound effects so I think we'd have some good crossover chats for sure. Ok have a blessed day, cheers, Martin.

I sampled that Bonighton track that is on YT and it sounds pretty great, so I’m quite curious to hear the rest of the album! Also WS Fischer’s Omen and Denis Smalley both sounds great. Didn’t try Le Caine yet but it should maybe be interesting too. Thanks for playing the Sikkim record. Interesting stack as always! Thanks, Johan

Hey Brother Chris, Lovely thoughts and tunes for Stunty. All the best to improved health his way. Unsurprisingly, these are all fascinating to me. 🙂Especially the W.Fischer, Japanese, Tibetan, Denis, and Hugh ones.....Like only half these overall, ha.

I have no doubt some ocora will find it's way into your shelf's at some point brother..that fischer is the shit.
If your familiar with ra's my brother the wind lp's which are solo moog excursions by ra..not so much the approach but in the same spirit if you know what i mean..😃..much love chris

Thanks Chris. Good to see you sending out these positive vibes. I know I little about Ferneyhough, but not Kessler. There is a Dubravko Detoni album that I am looking for which is sort of piano based, Detoni Plays Detoni, which I now see on UA-cam so I am off to listen. Haven't heard that ensemble record. The Fischer sounds interesting. Take care, Chris

Nice video for Stunty and of course great to see you. That side you played entirely almost sounds like fusion of all the best elements of Africa and Asia. Best thing about ethnic records is that even on quite short tracks they seem to reach the mode that most western kraut, psych and electronic bands take for minutes to get. That Italian composer was unfamiliar to me but after short research i see that he has composed a track that as a Finnish version has been quite popular here, a schlager though :) not on that one i guess, lol. Omen and Bonington seems like a real jewels after quick visit. Thanks brother, cheers -petri.

    • @johncoltrane68
      @johncoltrane68  Рік тому +1

Thanks brother..sikkim is a favorite of mine and it fit the stunty vibe so I played it..ya there seems a direct and immediate connection to some divine energy in those ethnographic records..they don't dick around..😂.
Oh Finnish schlager does not sound appeal to either of us I am sure..
But that is fascinating as his electronic record is pretty heavy.
Both the fischer and boington are absolute must imo if you can find them of course..😉..glad you checked them out brother..much love chris

The rest are interesting as well. Creel Pone chose some great releases for it's catalog. Le Caine's 'Nocturne' is really nice. Happy holidays Chris.

Ya keith does stellar work with those creel pone issues..nocturne is definitely one of my favorite pieces as well..he was a fascinating figure and a somewhat forgotten pioneer.
      Appreciate you stopping by brother..

Lots to wonder and revel about here. I am still looking for Fischer, and the Circles LP on Embryo which even though is clearly more common than Omen, you still rarely see. Good selections for Christian. I do have the Hugh Le Caine which I scooped up for $10 on ebay with an opening bid. It is indeed an interesting trip through his developments in electronic music. I was pretty unfamiliar with him though, don't have that Folkways comp. Glad you made this video Chris and yeah, your descriptors were on point!

@@johncoltrane68 Not that I remember, but if I have heard/seen it on vinyl it would have been 81-83 era when I used to spend time with a chap who had many, if not most, of these 'types' of efforts. I doubt I could recall more than 5% of what he had now!! Of this bunch the Acezantez is more likely to be the one I'd pick up, listening now, .........

Chris, I have been sort of ''out of the loop'' lately. I did not know that Christian not Christian was sick. I wish him a speedy recovery! The composition, '' Experience In E'', written by WS Fischer and Joe Zawinul, as performed by Cannonball Adderley Quintet with Orchestra, is a great 20 minute long, piece. Brian Ferneyhough is one of my favorite composers , I rate him as high as Beethoven and Xenakis. He lives and teaches in California, he moved here from England, in the late 1980's. He is considered the Father of New Complexity, a title that he rejects. His music does use, ''hemi- demi- semi quavers'', but is simply enthralling and filled with surprise.

Experience in e is a great piece Michael know it well..😃.
Not surprised you know fernyhough's work well that is high praise indeed..this is the only thing I have of his but definitely is someone I want to investigate further..😃.
