Hi friends! I hope you enjoy this video. This stitch is a popular one and can be worked in many ways but my favorite is in the round. In this video I share solutions to 2 common issues that you'll encounter with this stitch that will improve the look dramatically. Let me know if you have used this stitch before! xx

@@minhchu9980 if she doesn’t elaborate, it’s very similar to a temperature blanket . Instead of recording daily temperatures, your do a row or round to reflect the mood you’re feeling for that day (or however you decide to log in for the year. )
I’m doing something similar called a mood blanket.
I create a square daily as well as log the day into a journal to help reflect even further.

I made a mental health blanket with this stitch last year, and I fastened off and joined new yarn at the end of every round, even if I was going to the same color next, just to avoid a seam. I was buried in ends after, but I accepted my fate hahaha. but I've been wanting to make a continuous round for a blanket with this stitch, and this is just the video I needed to help me feel confident about it!

I've been crocheting off and on for 42 years. I'm amazed at the new stuff I find that I didn't know I needed, and this tutorial is just what I needed! Your explanation and visual guidance helped me learn not only this pattern, but how turning after each round for square projects keep it truly square!

I just want you to know how helpful all of your tutorials have been for me! You are thorough, concise, and have really clear visuals for someone who is new to crochet (oddly I think I've picked it up quickly). To second many other comments, I have watched numerous moss stitch tutorials and could not understand the placement into the ch 1 space or why it kept going wonky. I also love the HDC join! This makes such a LOVELY corner. Thank you for enriching us with your tips and tricks!

Oh! This is perfect! My Son bought some glow in the dark cotton yarn and I've used this video to make a pillow to go with my retro flower blanket (your tutorial)! I'm going to try to make a large retro flower to attach to the pillow! I've never designed anything. I'm sure I'll rip out a thousand miles 😂😂.

Oooh, Dinah, that sounds amazing ! Good luck and yes, embrace the ripping out , it will come together. 🤩
Make lots of notes for yourself . It helps me a lot because I find I tend to make the same mistake over and over again thinking ive tried something different and haven’t.
Then if I do something that worked, I completely forget how I did it ! 😂😂

Hi I'm new to your videos and I am so grateful to have found them. I decided to restart crocheting after many years of not making anything. I am so excited to see all of the neat things that can be created using crochet. My biggest question is there a video that I can watch that would help me restart, that you have filmed? I love your explanations, your voice, the way that you go over the process more than once and you are easy to follow. Anyway, I would love to know an easy pattern to use so I can create my first blanket/afghan. I picked out a kit from a company on FB, and I am thinking that it might be a little to advanced. Also, how to I pick out yarn that is quality yarn and how do I find it? I'm sorry for the questions, I am truly excited to start learning and making. If you are able to answer my questions or if anyone would be willing to do so, I would be extremely grateful. In the meantime, I will be benge watching your videos. I really like the look of the square crochet. I hope it turns into a blanket. Sorry to sound like a need, just super excited. Thank you for your videos, all my love amy.

What a lovely message, thank you , and I’m so glad you are finding use out of the channel. 😀💕I would recommend that you look through my “playlists” to see if there’s a section of videos that would appeal to you. I create a lot of tip videos and plan on making more as time allows.
🤔hmm … I’m having a hard time thinking off the top of my head what would be a good video to suggest since I’m not sure what you’ve watched already so I would start there.
It means a lot to me that I get to be a part of your return to crocheting 😀👏🏻👏🏻💕

I found your Retro Daisy a couple of months ago after trying many other patterns. Your way of teaching and demonstrating fits me perfectly. So when I wanted to make a square using the Linen Stitch I was thrilled to bits to find your video on the matter. You make it so easy and explain why you do each step the way you do. Most of us learn the “how” but we need the “why” to understand and remember. Thank you so much 🇦🇺🧶🍷

I finished the ripple stitch you taught and actually made a “water “ blanket for my son with an enclosed border and I have to say I’m actually super proud of it! Thank you for always being so kind and helpful.
I wanted to ask you, I love this stitch, I wanted to know, what do you think if I were to make a bunch of smaller squares, then attached them together, sorta like your mood blanket but with this beautiful moss stitch. Bigger squares, maybe 6inches or so.
I just love this stitch but find the ease of just making a square easier for me mentally and physically.
