As a retro gamer, keeping my emulation behind the current gen, seems fair enough. Switch is not retro, i can wait for its lifecycle to end when its close to retro status anyway. Day 1 sales piracy isnt preservation. And if yuzu won, the crash would have happened, and there would only be retro games left. Because who will make what you steal before they have a chance to make a penny. Where would the money in making games be?
Thanks a lot for the fast news update! Sad to hear that Ryujinx development will slow down. The fact that Suyu seems to become serious - even with many of the old yuzu developers on board - is great news though. I am following their gitlab page already and everything seems very promising. The whole decryption concept seems smart, too. I really hope things will move forward on android soon. On Windows, both current versions of Ryujinx and Yuzu run 99% percent of games flawlessly and the lifecycle of the switch is almost over. It really seems like there is light a the end of the tunnel!

I think using decrypted roms as opposed to prod keys is a smart move. Citra did the same thing, and only got roped into this mess because it was associated by the same people behind Yuzu. I hope that Suyu manages to take off as planned by the developers, especially considering what's currently happening with Ryujinx, which makes me question how long will support for that emulator will last.
Ngl, i want to check Suyu in a future, a problem that i noticed with Ryujinx is the fact that there are games which are completely optimized to play in the case of playing in Vulkan Pokemon Legends Arceus which i can't do it in Yuzu cause it completely broke my pc, but in a common game like Mario Kart 8, i noticed some slowness when i was playing, feels like the game can't mantain a stable fps, in Yuzu that wasn't a problem
As I understand it Ryujinx prioritized accuracy over playability, so what you're seeing is it struggling to produce everything the right way. Yuzu was fast and loose with a lot of hacks to help games run at more playable speeds. I think that's why so many people seem to go to bat for Ryu, they have powerful machines that don't see the low frame rates some of us get.
