We found a buck skeleton, and with a full set of antlers in our woods today. This really helped me to understand what i have to do to it before I cast it in resin! The original is going to a friend once I clean/cast it. The antler copies will be great for lots of art I plan on making from them.

Late to the party for this one, but again, thanks for the documentary style videos you produce. The attention to detail you have shows the care for animals within. Unfortunately being in the military has me in a state where hunting is granted based on drawings which are very hard to get into being a non-resident; otherwise I would have several skulls sent to you. As a fan, I appreciate your work greatly

I do my own up here in Alaska. It’s not easy. I take a 30 gallon metal trash can and put it in a fire, full of water and dawn dish soap. I use firewood not a propane burner or anything like that. I let it boil. Meanwhile I completely wrap the antlers in tinfoil to protect them from the fire and water/steam. I then set the moose head in. It takes a few hours. Pull out and all tissues should be able to be pulled off by hand. Pressure wash. Put moose head back in the boiling water upside down. Works great. Make sure to get brain and nose cavity clean.

Thanks so much for the awesome videos and techniques! I've been using your technique to clean a few skulls here in South Africa. Can I ask your help with a issue I'm having with a Scimitar Horned Oryx. The animal was shot by a friend of mine and even after many hours of boiling I cannot get the horns to come off (they are getting a bit loose tho). I'm worried that if we try boil it any longer it might affect the bone? At this stage I've submerged the skull in water to soak for a few days hoping that it will help shorten the boiling time the next time I try? Please any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
    Keep posting great videos!

I just finished a scimitar last week. I have a video coming out Monday. The key to horn removal is the twist. They will not smack off grab the base and mid section and twist all the way around they should pop right off.

Also, quick question, could you maybe sometime make a video on how to clean a cow skull? (Belted Galloway to be super specific, or just a cow without horns) because so far, I've only been letting them rot, which takes almost two years (since I usually get them around September and the weather here isn't that ideal). I’ve always wondered: in my part of the world we always cook the head with the rest of the meat... most people love the eyes and tongue... would it be possible to clean and whiten the skull after its been cooked and eaten?

Hey bud, really like the videos. Keep me coming. Do you have any recommendation to remove extremely hardened hide from a skull. I’ve got a moose skull cap with fur still attached (dry for 2 years). Soaked it for 24 hours in water and still solid in most areas. Any advice?
