LMAO! I swear in the beginning I thought I was watching a cleaning video to eat the head! First off I was thinking to myself, what the hell can he eat off the head?! Then he started pressure washing it and the whole meat, flesh on the head just evaporated! I was like…. Well, so much for his head soup or whatever he was gonna eat off it. Then I realized that was the whole point.🤦♂️🤣 I had the volume low
I did a snapping turtle skull a couple years ago that had a 22 bullet lodged in its jaw from years ago. It was calcified over partially. Shows how thought they are.
I remember watching you when I was 12-14, I am so glad the algorithm has shown me your page once again, I am subscribing once again ahaha cheers brotha love it, see it
The skulls look really cool really love the show the channel that comes into a hand many times so I'm trying to do stuff definitely got you on your channel on speed dial basically keep it up love to work
You need to try a paddlefish skull. This is one of the most beautiful skulls I've ever seen. If I can get one I would love one. Still waiting for the day.
Fascinating. I have never seen anything like that, we have nothing like that around here that isn’t protected and is nothing of that size They look really good and I alway enjoy your master classes Thank you for sharing Love your work
i been learning from you for a few years now and i think the new youtube rule is stupid there are far worse things shown on tv all day every day wishing you well and please keep doing these great videos
Thanks for guiding me into my crazy passion, since I saw your videos when I was 13 I wanted to do the same, now I’m doing the same! I’m a taxidermy apprentice and owner of a skull and taxidermy collection. Thanks! Happy new year and I hope we can return to te good old days with detailed cleaning. Send hugs from Mexico.
Those snapping turtle skulls are so awsome!!!!!! I like your idea on just spraying them and not boiling, there just amazing animals and definitely a living dinosaur that has survived through millions of years. Thank you once agian for sharing, hope to see more soon, your freind from Nebraska!!!!!
…well I feel dumb now I never thought of using the pressure washer 😂 I used highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide and then my little drimmel. Looks good man
Very cool Ryan....and the hot water pressure washer is sort of pricey hey? Would a light boil and the regular 1500psi pressure washer do the trick? The skulls turned out great....and thanks for posting! Merry Christmas from Mike in sunny Florida
Ryan, what brown kuiu tip are you wearing when you showing you rinsing the heads from the peroxide ? Awesome vid as always brother. Thanks for all your tutelage.
It'd be so cool to see you do a skull cleaning of a Babirusa just to see how those tusks interact with the skull, but I have no idea how youd get your hands on one of those
Quick question: I do a bit of bone collecting and after every project I find myself not knowing what to do with the soapy water and hydrogen peroxide so I just put it down the drain. I dont know if that's the right or wrong thing to do but I just wanted to make sure if I'm making a mistake I dont repeat it. What do you do with any of the chemical liquids after you finish?
Try dump it in a secluded grassy area - like the back of your yard (if you have one). That’s what I do at least, but if you can’t do that, then an outside drain should be alright as I’m pretty sure it just goes to a sewer.
My grandfather taught me to use 1/4-inch square wire and steak it out in the woods or an area in the back of the yard place what you want cleaned inside of the wire box and in about 10 days ants will have cleaned almost everything off the bones and or the shell
I have done multiple bones, never a snapping turtle. In Qubec, Canada. But my turtle skull broke (like the bones desolved in 30 volume peroxide from the pharmacy and have always used) I might have left it in too long... 4 days, but this works well with my other bones turned out well. Can you let me know what happened (are their bones prosis?) And how to avoid this mistake? Thank you ! For the great content And Yes I am crazy about my dog too.
If you want to clean the shell. Pull everything out of it cutting the skin as close as you can to the shell. Then as is, power wash the meat and membrane out. Be careful not to hit the shell as it's the same keratin as the beak and really thin. Then after it's clean coat the inside with Borax powder and set a fan far away tell it's dry . Then clean out the borax as best as you can with hand held wire brush and hit it with some gloss spray can overcoat for a nice wet look. And a note you can easily cut the bottom part off if you just want the top. It's almost like two separate shell sandwiched together. And 12.5 inch shell off a snapping turtle is 25 years of age , 14 is 40 years, and 18 is 80 to a 100 years.
I were told that the best way were to put the skull in an anthill for a coupple of weeks and then use oxalic acid to make it white . What pros and cons do you see in that?
I’ve found two skull technically one of them had been run over but I found one in a swamp on its back the whole shell was there but it had clearly been there for a while because the shell was separating but the skull was there with the lower jaw and the big scale or whatever you would call that beak scale
Definitely not a video guide on how to give a snapping turtle a bath
"Let's get you cleaned up Frankie"
I was tricked!
He just needed a deep clean
😂😂😂
Took me minute to realise why the turtle wasn’t moving 😭
"Aww, theyre gonna give a baby snapping turtle a bath- wait... WAIT-"
The skulls look like the characters from How to Train your Dragon. I really wanted to see how you cleaned the shell.
literally came to say that 😂
It looks like toothless!
He killed toothless
And they're toothless!!😂😂😂
Those skulls look like the Dragon I learned how to train from that kids movie!!!!!!!!
Fr
Who? Toothless? Yeah, it kinda does look like him!
A new skull cleaning video by you is always super exciting, been here for years. Amazing work per usual!
LMAO! I swear in the beginning I thought I was watching a cleaning video to eat the head! First off I was thinking to myself, what the hell can he eat off the head?! I just molded the skull on one of these critters. A total pain but great texture on those guys.
The skulls look really cool really love the show the channel that comes into a hand many times so I'm trying to do stuff definitely got you on your channel on speed dial basically keep it up love to work
Boy, was I waiting for the cooking part. Had to read the title again to figure out it was just a cleaning video.
Before I pressed on the video I thought he was gonna have live snapping turtles and was just being nice and cleaning them 💀💀💀
You need to try a paddlefish skull. This is one of the most beautiful skulls I've ever seen. If I can get one I would love one. Still waiting for the day.
Long time fan! Love all your work!
Thank you Ryan, for sharing your skills and knowledge. I saved the video for my future reference.
Wow, it was so cool how quickly you could spray everything off the skull like that. I've missed your skull cleaning videos!
Fascinating. I have never seen anything like that, we have nothing like that around here that isn’t protected and is nothing of that size
They look really good and I alway enjoy your master classes
Thank you for sharing
Love your work

It would be awesome to see a fish skull cleaning video.
Kidding kidding love watching what you do tho it’s so interesting and didn’t realize how time consuming
Great job my friend!
Ryan, what brown kuiu tip are you wearing when you showing you rinsing the heads from the peroxide ? Awesome vid as always brother. Thanks for all your tutelage.
Kuiu top*
Super good vid, super cool dude,, and I learned something new. 9.2/10
From a fellow SKULL ADDICT: Thank u for ANOTHER great and informative video!! *Gotta get me one of those hot water power washer doohickeys🤔
Huh? I thought they are bigger...
Cool video😁👍
They actually are bigger those are young snappers, fully grown adult snapping turtles are pretty big and pretty heavy.
I appreciate your content.
It'd be so cool to see you do a skull cleaning of a Babirusa just to see how those tusks interact with the skull, but I have no idea how youd get your hands on one of those
Can't get over the clarity
6:40 looks like sans ghaster blasters
I’d prolly macerate something like that but your method worked well for you !

In my city there are hefty fines for putting anything in the storm drains. “Nothing but rain in the drain”.
All you need is a good sized anthill--they'll pick it clean in a day or two. Of course, you have to make sure nothing drags it off in the interrim.
Love the vids
What kind of water pressure washer do you use ???? I really like the cleaning power
8:44 that was funny
Gracias x más de sus videos saludos desde México
What a wild looking guy, are they invase in your area? Or just plentifull enough to be hunted?
If you could get your hands on one, it would be cool to see an otter skull cleaning
That's a beautiful civilware handle and 70xt blade there buddy I use the same 😁 thanks to my brother Mr Ryan Olsen 🙂
I know it's dead but seeing your fingers that close to the mouth is making me clench lol
You should do a shell cleaning video
My grandfather taught me to use 1/4-inch square wire and steak it out in the woods or an area in the back of the yard place what you want cleaned inside of the wire box and in about 10 days ants will have cleaned almost everything off the bones and or the shell

RIP ninja turtles
Most all turtles have a keratin beak, as observed, but the snapping turtles is one of the toughest of most turtles
I were told that the best way were to put the skull in an anthill for a coupple of weeks and then use oxalic acid to make it white . What pros and cons do you see in that?
My Grandfather taught me that way about 45 years ago
I’d love one of those
What solution do I use when boiling skulls? I have two raccoon heads and two pig skulls that need cleaning and whitening.
Random question. What's your favorite skull to clean and why?
What do you do with these skulls..? ..also, what do you do with the rest of the turtle..?
Do you put googly eyes on any of them?
Any tips for whitening a snapping turtle shell?
I think a salt water crocodile would be next for a skull clean or a wilderbeast skull be next
the one with the beak put back on it looks like sip stick lol
Curious how'd ya kill them turtles also this is a dumb question but how come no blood came out when cutting through the neck of that snapper
Good job
They evolved from being stepped on by Dinosaurs
This would tramatize Raph (rottmnt ver)
I think it would traumatize all of them
The nightmares would be *horrific*
I’ve found two skull technically one of them had been run over but I found one in a swamp on its back the whole shell was there but it had clearly been there for a while because the shell was separating but the skull was there with the lower jaw and the big scale or whatever you would call that beak scale
I keep snapping turtles as pets I’m from Mississippi everybody in my family see the size of mines and wanna buy them to eat 😂😂
What brand are those washing boots
And now I know how toothless was created 😂
So your using the pool shock for all your skulls now or just this video @whitebonecreations?
All skulls
@@WHITEBONE What is mix ratio for deer skulls?
Hope you saved the meat. Its delicious. 👍
How did you dispatch those turtles?
what if you just leave head underground for a month or 2 to get the meat off?
Would this process work on a human skull?
Issa snappin turla
How were they stunned and killed if the skull is intact?
How come the one turtle skull still has skin on it's lips?
That's a little too deep of a cleaning. When do you assemble it back ?
ya sold the skin?
it would have a great value
Why the hell does the skulls look like somwthing out of the "how to train your dragon" 😂
Good video
oh no the skull of toothless from how to tain your dragon , lol
You could see the string the hook was attached too when you were cutting the head off
Its look like Toothless head from How To Train Your Dragon movie.
finally early
Won't you destroy the hyoid bone by doing it that way??
IS THAT STRING IN ITS THROAT❓
O snap!!!!
U went MAD
Definitely was a fart 💨 at the end 😂🤣😂🤣

Does this hurt the turtle?

Surprised UA-cam allows this..lol
What knife is that?
Man, snapping turtles are delicious. Makes me want to go catch one.
