    LMAO! I swear in the beginning I thought I was watching a cleaning video to eat the head! First off I was thinking to myself, what the hell can he eat off the head?! Then he started pressure washing it and the whole meat, flesh on the head just evaporated! I was like…. Well, so much for his head soup or whatever he was gonna eat off it.
    Then I realized that was the whole point.🤦‍♂️🤣 I had the volume low

    I did a snapping turtle skull a couple years ago that had a 22 bullet lodged in its jaw from years ago. It was calcified over partially. Shows how thought they are.

    Quick question: I do a bit of bone collecting and after every project I find myself not knowing what to do with the soapy water and hydrogen peroxide so I just put it down the drain. I dont know if that's the right or wrong thing to do but I just wanted to make sure if I'm making a mistake I dont repeat it. What do you do with any of the chemical liquids after you finish?

    • @Xombic0780
      @Xombic0780 Рік тому

      Try dump it in a secluded grassy area - like the back of your yard (if you have one). That’s what I do at least, but if you can’t do that, then an outside drain should be alright as I’m pretty sure it just goes to a sewer.

    I have done multiple bones, never a snapping turtle.
    In Qubec, Canada.
    But my turtle skull broke (like the bones desolved in 30 volume peroxide from the pharmacy and have always used)
    I might have left it in too long... 4 days, but this works well with my other bones turned out well.
    Can you let me know what happened (are their bones prosis?) And how to avoid this mistake?
    Thank you !
    For the great content
    And Yes I am crazy about my dog too.

    If you want to clean the shell. Pull everything out of it cutting the skin as close as you can to the shell. Then as is, power wash the meat and membrane out. Be careful not to hit the shell as it's the same keratin as the beak and really thin. Then after it's clean coat the inside with Borax powder and set a fan far away tell it's dry . Then clean out the borax as best as you can with hand held wire brush and hit it with some gloss spray can overcoat for a nice wet look. And a note you can easily cut the bottom part off if you just want the top. It's almost like two separate shell sandwiched together. And 12.5 inch shell off a snapping turtle is 25 years of age , 14 is 40 years, and 18 is 80 to a 100 years.
