You guys done much work with TwinScrew blowers? (Whipple/YellaTerra) Technically more efficient rotor pack design, but interested in real word examples. Harrop TVS PD blowers definitely work and understand supporting Aus companies! Interested in your thoughts on both 👍
@@IndependentMotorsports as in the Intercooler brick? Obviously harder to modify to make it work better than W/A heat exchanger or pump…. That’s a shame. So you may gain a little then loose it due to a poor Intercooler. Gotta look at the whole package.
have you ever tried a crow 871777 cam its a gen 2 large lobe cam 226/236 607/617 113 you get good torque and hp gain can be used with stock converter needs duel springs, be interesting how it would go its slips in between 871286 and the 871287 and 871288, I have 1 in a Built LS 427 and a huge 98mm Turbo
I got this cam. As it's pushing the limits of the standard stall, I'm starting to tire a little of the noticeable sluggishness/delay off the line before it hits party time. Looking to upgrade the stall. Pretty expensive unfortunately but will have to bite the bullet.
I wonder if anyone has had a titanium headers made up full try y headers and also good flowing cats euro spec ones and free flowing cat back system the reason why, is because all the aftermarket headers other than say manta brand are made well, not saying that hurricane or x force or other brands are not good ,but they are all 4 into 1, when you really need to follow the HSV try system, which produces the low down torque and power as well ,so something like this comb would be massive with a good 1" 1/8 try y headers and even with th factory cats and cat back sy7stem will make more power than off the shelf try y headers.
Sounds racey as, you lose depth in the exhaust note removing the mufflers, one muffler each side ,x pipe, with straight through cats sounds best best of both worlds.
BTR PDS STAGE 1 TORQUE CAMSHAFT please
Keep up the great work your videos are great
Can you do a clip with the LS3, Red hot camshaft without the blower.
Yes we need that
Will do one on the next car
If you haven't already seen it your request has been answered
He's definitely a professional at this stuff, and keeps it interesting. Another great video. 👍
Good numbers, great vid!
One of the best sounding cars I've heard on your channel in a while...
Thank you I'm glad you liked it, I've tried something different with the microphone so hopefully everything comes out better now.
@@IndependentMotorsports I think it helped man, sounded clearer. Keep up the good work
For a stock bottom end, this is a massive winner.
What a weapon. Is 25-30l/100 typical fuel consumption for cam/blower setups?
When giving it a hard time yes I would expect that but not regular day-to-day driving
It’s crazy, you would think a 113lsa would not be good for that PDS. I’m contemplating it for my 427 centri blower.
Because of the cubes I would consider the Stage 4 PDS that hase proven to be a very versatile camshaft with all the blowers.
@@IndependentMotorsportsI currently have a cam motion 232/248 116+5.
Wouldn't this similar to the GM 525 crate engine just supercharged with the 2650?

The Whipple supercharger is a fantastic unit however I don't have much to say about the cooling system.

I'd like to see a graph overlay with the stage 4pds with a similar modded car.
I would like to see the difference between the original BTR cams and the V (version) two ones that are much newer. The stage 3 V2 has my interest
That is next on our list
What a great cam, I like it 👍
How do you this cam would go on a lsa engine with standard exhaust manifolds. Has 3inch catback. I want the chop
I'm not sure but I would love to do the test, If you are interested let me know and we can work something out

Tuff 💪🏽
What sort of power would you expect from an aspirated ls3
330kw on average
Anybody know what power the red hot cam makes N/A on a ls3 ??? Very interested in it for my crate ls3
We have been seeing around 330rwk
@IndependentMotorsports nice , what torque numbers roughly are they getting ? And can I order a kit straight you ?
ever used any of the gm motorsport cams before ?
No not yet maybe when we get our engine dyno i will start testing some
I’ve asked the same question on TikTok man. I asked about the GM Turbo Killer II and they haven’t done any work on those before
First 👍
