this cam makes great power, how is it on fuel economy and as a car used 2-3 times per week. ? previously had an ls3 manual with a vcm16 cam and fdfi2300, cant remember exactly but idled at 6.5lt / hr and around town was 25-28lt / 100 normal driving.
No they don't read higher they read accurately, We see no more than 20 kW between our roller and hub dyno. The problem with a roller dyno is there are too many scenarios that always affect the output figure and tire slip is the number one problem.
If you compare apples with apples Harrop 2300 vs the heartbeat 2300 the heartbeat wins by a long way But unfortunately it's not available anymore so we have to compare the 2650 version and I have not done a back-to-back test to answer it accurately yet. There are many variables that come into play here and there are a few decisions that determine what direction you would go but I would need to sit down and work out a game plan based off the combination before giving any solid advice. Either decision you won't be disappointed with.
It's pretty hard to beat this camshaft in all aspects from drivability to performance, regarding drivability the 1286 will be better in the bottom range more so with an automatic transmission however in a manual it would be very hard to spot the difference.
This guy no!s wot his talking about no bullshit love your videos
Great video with a more in depth detail of how everything in this combo works together.
andrews a gun engine machinist and all round top bloke.
What an awesome 98 combo 👌, 7800 is wild 😜
Hands down the best one we've done
Your work is massive bro.
AWESOME Combo….
My LS3 VF Commodore needs this…👍
Yes it does!
@@IndependentMotorsportswhere are you located?
BTR upgrades have won me over. I have a stage three in my Ls1 ss and all I want to do now is upgrade the rest of the engine with BTR items

Out if this world on 98. That proves the blower is efficient.
Very efficient
I wonder why this supercharger is not available anymore, I know it’s from the states so I wonder if it’s an issue from the manufacturer
More than likely been replaced with the PI 2650
Do hub dyno’s give so much higher readings ?
I have an LS3 with same blower and VCM 5SC cam. Stock heads. Pulling 446kw on roller dyno

What's your favourite cam for a N/A ls combo
Isn’t there a 2600 blower they make
Yes the PI2650 And if it's anything like it's little brother Then I can't wait to get my hands on one.
Jesus friggin christ wow
You guys done much testing with the Red Hot Cam from BTR?
we have been stocking these camshafts and slowly rolling them out, As we get more data we will start rolling out videos.
@@IndependentMotorsports awesome. I was keen on this camshaft for my Lsa combo. Wanted to stay on the smaller side.
@@cava454 I think it would work very well, If I can win the job I would love to do it then I can use the data and compare it against the stage 4.
What would you think is the best blower the harrop or these? Be in the market soon. Or are they basically same and just brand preference

@@IndependentMotorsports cheers mate I’ll have to give you guys a call . Got a l77 that needs some love put into it.
In terms of drivability how would it compare to a 1286 crow? In an auto and manual application?
