I would imagine most Women want peace . It is not possible if a Man doesn’t provide security.
When He crosses Your boundaries , is disrespectful , Peace is lost
Who caused this ? If a Man wants to feel like He is home he needs to give safety and respect

I gave up after a year and a half. I’d point stuff out and he’d change for a bit then go right back …I am not gonna try to change someone and be constantly on the watch. It made me anxious. I finally had to leave him completely. In many ways he was a great man..fun, loyal to family, attentive, great listener, affectionate, handsome, hard working , so many good qualities. BUt he was dishonest on a number of things, hooked on porn , he would be there for everyone all the time and neglect putting our relationship first, let his grown kids rule him and his lifestyle was way too busy and I was breadcrumbed . He’d do all the right things and say all the right things and send flowers etc but he could lie to me so easily !! I finally said I’m done! I gave him too many chances and I’m mad at myself for wasting my time. Allowing someone to waste my time. I was so hopeful. He had asked me to marry him but I said no because the thought of constantly having to check him was more than I could deal with!!

@@JonathonAslay well it kept me waiting for his changes and then he’d make them and then revert back. It’s my fault that I was so hopeful and I was too patient if that makes sense. I broke up with him for good. Very difficult because we truly loved each other!! It’s our lifestyles. They didn’t mesh and that’s hugely important! And I never fully trusted him (and my reasons were legitimate ) and you can’t live without trust! Im a strong lady and I’ll be fine. I am just frustrated and I truly want to grow old with my soul mate. I have so much love to give. Pickins are slim I tell ya!! Thanks for all your help Jonathan. You are an absolute gem!! Keep up the great work…darn proud of ya!!

Thank you for all of your wonderful videos. I have been dating a wonderful man for 3 months that was widowed just over a year now and was hoping you could do a video on that please? Ed struggles with feelings of being unfaithful to his deceased wife. He treats me like gold--the best I've ever been treated and although he acts like he loves me, he has not been able to say it. In my past relationships, it was said, but actions didn't match the words. I am struggling with this. I want to tell him I love him, but I don't want to make him uncomfortable.

@@amandaroberts5111 thank you I guess I just needed to vent. And it helped. It's early in the relationship and I will take actions over words any day. I will be prepared that maybe he will never be able to say it. I have friends that lost their spouses and I think feel that it's a betrayal of their memory. The love doesn't go away with their passing. Thanks for responding. Take care and God bless. 🙏🏻

Jonathan all you have said makes so so much freakin sense. I’ve been so insecure since the childhood wounds of my dad’s mental abuse as a very young child witnessing the physical abuse on my mother and hiding in a closet to call the police to save her life. I was 8 yrs old. Now as an adult I have learned so much and been stronger and more confident. After my divorce (which was mutual…and we are actually friends) I met my boyfriend of 5 years. I just feel like crap as if I’m not good enough “dating “ for over 5 years knowing each other, still having great love making and me knowing I look sexy when he takes me out with much younger men bothering me which I don’t want. My point is I did everything right. I’m sexy (very fit being a gym rat), fun, intelligent. He has his space. He plays hubby, always at my house. Then leaves to go to his house to sleep to wake up for work then do it all week until he wants to spend the night with me at my home only on the weekends. Yet over 5 years wtf. I set myself apart from other women and my question is why am I not good enough. I’m confident and have a beautiful home and good career while I juggle my beautiful 3 little girls. He’s so good to them too. Which makes my question why I’m not good enough more of a challenge.
No need to reply as I’m clearly venting lol.
You’re a busy man and please let me express how much I appreciate your wisdom combined with sensical topics that’s critically lacking in today’s need for relational nourishment.

It's fairly difficult to have a beginner's mind when you are 61 years old! Ha ha, I'm just saying. It seems that a lot of men don't have one either. I have never put on a man's last name after just one date. Even when I was in my 20s. At least, not that I remember! That was almost 40 years ago. I'm definitely not stuck in the past. I've been divorced FIFTEEN years, as long as I was married. I rarely think of my ex-husband and I'm sure he never thinks of me, as he married a guy. I hope he's happy but I have zero interest in getting back with him, as I don't believe in adultery. Embracing the present moment is a great thought, Jonathon!
