The Santos is the thinking man's sports watch. Love the refine elegance of it. Truly a piece of jewellery. Plus quality is there and it doesn't look out of place with your other big hitters, which cost multiple times more
I went in to Cartier yesterday to check this watch out in real life, although I already really like this watch, I couldn’t believe how much better it looks in person, just like you bro I just couldn’t say no.

Completely agree with you about the way the case fits & curves to hug the wrist - more companies should build their cases like that to hug the wrist and suit more wrist sizes. Love how they also included the screws on the rubber strap, its those little details that make it that much more interesting. Hope you enjoy this one for a long time bro!

They have every model and I have been eyeing up the white dial but this watch is so unique nothing like it in my collections.
I have the stainless version w/ white dial. I'd love to add the ADLC version too...but feel like it would be odd to have two nearly identical watches. Anyway...great review!

I have this one and the XL two-tone chrono model and love them both. I was like you, I never felt like Cartier was for me. My attitude was that it's a women's brand, and I feel like that is still true, just watch the ad for the Santos. The watch itself only appears for like a second and a half. It was like watching a Calvin Klein commercial from the 80's. But I like the Santos.

Due to 6% Inflation in Germany atm i feel forced to spend some money so I got me the normal Santos today. 6.6k€ and last year it was 5.9k. I am pretty sure, they will react to the inflation by increasing their price in the coming months.
dlc is 7.8k€ had it on a few days ago, absolutely amazing :) just look at AP prices, their chronograph doubled in retail over the last 6 years, same will happen with alot of brands

I def really enjoy this piece, however it was a bit hard for me to desire putting DLC over Black Ceramic from another brand Omega Apollo 8 for example, I would be interested to know how you feel about DLC vs Ceramic.
Hello Ridah, first congratulations for the new watch hope you enjoy it. Actually I was thinking for long time to have the Santos however, I always see it as too dressy and scratches magnetic but this one changes the whole idea. Would you please tell me how do u see this one is it scratch resistant?
My only gripe is that this should also be offered with a DLC bracelet option. I have considered having a bracelet done in DLC to match, and have the full array of options. I think people underestimate Cartier... I did until I tried this version on.
When you adjust the rubber strap, what are you supposed to do with the extra slack? Is the watch designed to "fold back" the extra slack, or do you keep it running in the same direction around the wrist? Same question for leather strap.
Did you try on the ADLC with grey dial and grey bezel version? that one comes with stainless steel band and the rubber still, waiting to see both in person think ima get one too.

It's a nice looking watch. But for Black - I'd go with something that's Black throughout (i.e: ceramic) and not coated.

How strong is the DLC? Thing is once you scratch DLC, theres no polishing to fix it as you would with stainless steel.

In retrospect i should have gotten this over the two tone 40mm. The bezel is an absolute scratch magnet, and that polished look literally wears off.
