    Stopped by Malibu to test ride the Del Mar today. We went to the Rock Store, then Livewire Canoga Park, back to Malibu. About 50 miles and 50% battery usage. The bike is extremely well made, nimble in traffic, and outrageously fast. I can take delivery of an LE now - just need to figure out if I want to wait to test the Experia first. The Del Mar range is slightly concerning but I have to admit will be fine for 99% of my use cases. Congrats to Preston! Dillion showed me a photo of him picking up the bike yesterday.

    It's not CarPlay. That's the same Nav system that came on my Pan America. Squished down to a round display, but the identical UI/UX.

    Looks great, hoping my S2 LE is not too far behind. How long before delivery did Preston know he was getting it? Did he pick it up at a dealer? My customer portal still says step one, but my guru says it has been built and is in testing.

    Thx for update. Track mode was the secret 😆 🤫. Waiting on my LE VIN: not much longer now, seeing as you guys are @ #33. Guru stated today they’re just starting with the LE bikes & going through the quality process. As they are released from QC, they ship out. Enjoy your videos 🏍️

    Whats missing in this picture? DC Fast charging, CCS too clunky for a smaller motorcycle like the Del Mar? Skip right to NACS where the whole EV industry is heading in North America!

    Does car play indicate to the rider when the bike needs charging and location to nearest charge point

    Test rode a Del Mar this weekend and liked it very much but didn't try (or even know about) the "CarPlay" screen you mention. Q: when you're using navigation on Del Mar "CarPlay" screen, do you know if you can use Apple, Waze, or ABRP? or is it just the HD/LW navigation from within their app? Reason I ask, if I use HD app to direct me to the next charger, it doesn't seem to use the most efficient routing. (edited for typo)

    • @freedomiseverything
      @freedomiseverything  6 місяців тому

      You have to use the navigation in the app. I agree, It's not as good as it could be.

    An actual video of Preston riding it and taking delivery would have been nice.

    Yes! Fun to see that it’s delivering. Always appreciate your videos and insights. That last slide is a winner.

    I have a Date 80 miles away .. How long will it take me to get there? Most of the way is a 4 Lane Highway Speed Limit 70 MPH If I go with the flow of the traffic I will be running 80 MPH..
    I would be coming from South of Kalamazoo MI and headed for the North side of Grand Rapids MI .. I am guessing I will have to find a place to stop and get a charge.. are there any and how long would it take to get charged.. Then for my return home I would need another full charge..

    • @freedomiseverything
      @freedomiseverything  6 місяців тому +1

      Go with the LiveWire ONE. Tell your date you need to spend the night to charge your bike!...

    • @mikeskidmore6754
      @mikeskidmore6754 6 місяців тому

      @@freedomiseverything Sure I could spend the night with the date .. but I would have to stop for a charge to get there and stop for a charge to get home adding a lot of extra time to a 160 mile Trip .. On my FZ-07 I would just need one 10 minute pit stop for gas.
      I did ride my snowmobile to a the House of a Gal for my first date.. I was not sure if she would let me spend the night so I stopped and filled my snowmobile gas tank and Drank a Huge Coffee so I could make the 40 mile Trip home if she did not invite me to spend the night . She did let me sleep on her couch .. I spend the night on the couch at her rental house several times. Yet I have never been invited into her new Home now that she owns it .. Seems strange to me. I think she cooled off to me when she found out I was a Trump supporter..

    Harley owns virtually nothing today of the Live wire company now. They are no longer the majority owner of the Live Wire company Live wire as a company has it own CEO no longer the Harley CEO

    Another thing you can mention is the hidden built in helmet lock. I use it every time on my standard del mar. Im still trying to figure out if it is better to charge this thing after each ride or try to get it down to 20% each time. And whether I should ever charge it past 80% to get the most life out of the battery. In your other video you mentioned 4600 cycles for the live wire one, so that would indicate that I should drain it as much as possible before charging to reduce charge cycles. Thoughts? Thanks for the video. I love this bike despite my range anxiety.

      My son Preston is riding the Del Mar everyday. He charges it to 100%. The batteries are not the same as the LIveWire ONE. Time will tell...

    The Del Mar is lame... 60 mile range? Give or take when actually riding. No DC charging. Yet another useless electric motorcycle.

    Hey, do you know if you can adjust the suspension to lower the seat height?

    • @freedomiseverything
      @freedomiseverything  6 місяців тому

      Not really. The Mulholland is an S2 bike with a lower seat. That might work better for you.

    Have you had a chance to find a way to modify the onboard stock charger for AC in the livewire one? It would be so much more beneficial if you can get 6kw or even 9kw! Just over 1 hour charge perfect.

      There is no way to do it. It's either Level 1 or DC Fast...
