Painting an entire army in 15 minutes is really impressive!
Yeah, had to grab my time turner. ;)
Aaah - the technomancer intro. a true gentlemens choice
Yeah, it will be (mostly) the intro from now on. :)
@@VinceVenturella do you have the link to that vod? If its in the soulblight review im halfway through. So good 😂😂👌
Man this absolute madlad painted an entire army faster than I paint heroes and it still looks great.
Well thank you. :)
They look awesome!
Also it's really nice to see you talking sometimes instead of only hearing your voice 😄
I'm going to try to work that in more and more as time goes on. :)
Love the little changes in your editing and the different use of the camera 👍🏼
The content as usual is usefull and well done. Thank you Vince
Thank you, happy to help. :)
Im painting a Nighthaunt army. I’ve been in need of inspiration, so thanks this is awesome!
Excellent, happy to help. :)
Wow, that was impressive, thank you for the inspiration Vince.
My pleasure!
Amazing. Absolutely amazing as always. But Vince we need details on that winged Vargskyr!
I'll share some more photos out. :)
@@VinceVenturella where do we find the additional details? Need to know where all these wings came from! 😊
As a complete compliment, it really is amazing what you did with the army in that time and use of technique to accomplish your goal!
It also proves to me....speed painted armies are becoming less interesting to me! Because this army is done so well in such a short amount of time, I can only think that there is a large community that wants to paint fast for gaming purposes and things like tournaments.
An army painter myself, what happens is, though in the agenda, a loss of love of the slower build and paint. I appreciate the speed paint, but more and more if I see a full army, I want to see the love, the time taken, and the joy of the art. When you knuckle down and paint one figure amazing, Vince, that would be the cap really for this army, even if you speed painted the units. (again, awesome! so this is more of my own wishes, which of course would be outside the goal of speed painting :) )
Sure, often with stuff like this, I will take more time and do a better job on a character, it's fun. :)
Please just acknowledge that you are a god, it would save us all a lot of time. Not only the speed you paint this in, others do that too, not only the quality you paint other stuff in, others do that too, not only the amount of really REALLY usefull content you put up, others do that too... to an extend... not only... you get the idea. but ALL OF THAT by ONE person, and then just "casually" dropping a game in colab with uncle adom... uncle atam... you know who I mean. (love Uncle A., had a clown for breakfast)
I mean, everyone makes a fuss about becoming a god, like Morathi, Kragnos... Eminem. You just do it totally chill Vince V. style.
I am also very hyped about HC#300. I am expecting something special, grandiose, breathtaking. Like... a HC episode like any other.
Keep it up, you are a treasure for the community all over the world, typing from central Europe here. I've learned a ton from you, and you are kind of a true idol in a very modest and realistic sense to me. Your attitude and pragmatism coupled with the fun and enthusiasm you communicate with your videos and streams inspire me a lot! Thanks for all of that.
I am very excited for 300. :)
9:00 I suggest audiobooks. Uses less phone battery and depending on the book (I prefer fantasy novels) you won't have to change what you're listening to, since a 20+ hour book will outlast your painting session just fine.
It helps me get through 10 hour shifts at work, it can help you paint!
But anyway, I really like the ideas here. I have two armies to paint in 2.5 months so I need to buckle down and get my speed up.
It's a good suggestion, but I just can't do audio books when I paint, not sure why.
The deciding to "start" at about midnight and then check-in at 2:00am is awesome. Really good job at trying not to appear "weary" but you were probably telling yourself this was a decision made and needed to be done: "no regrets!!!". I was silly enough to decide to build 100 Cadian rank and file troops, the sergeants became the "dessert" for each squad so your advice resonates. Happy to see the techniques for speed and you wearing a bit more of your craft. Anything worthwhile tends to get messy: thanks!
Yep, getting messy is how you know you've done it right.
You sir are a legend in this hobby. Thanks for another brilliant hobby cheating video.
Always happy to help. :)
Actually got really inspired after this video and went down the rabbit hole of watching your older 24 hour videos. Bought 2k+ of bonesplitters to do something similiar :)
Awesome. :)
The intro!!! Yessss!!!
Yep, it should show up (most) of the time from now on. :)
You're a killer Vince!! Got me hyped to tackle my blood knights today!!
Awesome. :)
I literally just watched you paint these models but still astonished with the pics at the end. Was also super cool getting a peek behind the curtain at your hobby space. I'm converting my garage into a hobby space so always looking for ideas.
Glad you like them! :)
Amazing! Congratulations!
The conversions alone are amazing
Thank you! 😄
The Vargskyre came at the right moment
Yes indeed.
When you show what is possible it inspires me to paint without fear. It's like you paint the REAL box art. Rock on sir.
are you saying you suddenly Paint Bravely? :^)
Always happy to help. :)
Fantastic! Efficiency is what I live for. Seventeen hours, unbelievable, great demonstration of skill!
Thank you, always happy to help. :)
Instructions unclear painted the army in 24 weeks.
BTW love the video shots of the paint bottles in the background. That's my true Goal. Forget painting the army in a day.
Yeah, I may have a fair amount of paint. :)
The texture work on the wings of the big character model is inspiring.
Thank you. :)
Absolutely incredible.
Thank you!
Super awesome. Put the love into the characters, minions, just get em done👍. Thanks Vince
Nailed it, exactly.
just perfect,perfect,perfect
Great work Vince. As someone who started an FEC army with a start collecting box. Now I really want those Cursed City models. Cursed City is the upgrade that FEC fans have been waiting for. CHEERS!
Totally agreed.
Thanks for the video Vince!
You bet!
Tis no man! Tis a remorseless painting machine!
fantastic work Vince, has a real grimdark look to it, and with some sweet conversions
the reverse Verdaccio was really effective as well
Glad you like it! :)
I loved the use of contrast paint, really clever. The army looks brilliant flesh eater courts are on my favourites.
Awesome, happy to help. :)
@@VinceVenturella I'm annoying my kids by wandering around my flat saying 'smash bat, smash that'. Thanks and keep up the good work Vince. P.s. looking forward to the solo rules to reign in hell.
I'm painting all of dominion, it's taken me atleast 100+ easily. I totally feel that "pick your army" cause speed painting highly detailed minis has killed me off. Time to paint some middle earth rohan to blow off some steam.. Great video vince and the army looks great. Loving smash bat, he can smash that.
Happy to help as always. :)
Great stuff Vince! I'd love to see a channel crossover speed painting challenge one day. So many great speed painters on UA-cam atm
It would be fun for sure. :)
Love your use of contrast paints and pushing what they can do. I really need to step up up my airbrushing game as I only really use it to prime and base my miniatures.
It's a very versatile tool for sure. :)
Excellent work Vince
Thank you. :)
Holy 🐄! And only 17 hours. Absolutely amazing!! Well done!
Thank you, this was fun. :)
Thanks Vince. Great video and really well explained! Thank you for taking the time to share the knowledge
Glad it was helpful!
After seeing this video of you painting 77 models in about 17 hours only proves to me that you are more machine than human Vince! An that is not a bad thing at all good sir!
They look wonderful! Great work and great video as always. Even if this is something that we can not do at this point in time, it gives us something to aspire for.
Always happy to help. :)
Can we get a video or break down on those Vargskyr conversions please and thank you?? Those look tremendous
I 2nd this request!
Well, I already compelted them and didn't record anything of the conversion, but it was pretty simple. The smaller ones, I just used the extra wings from the crypt flayers and used sprue goo to meld them on. For the big guy, those are the balrog wings, and I had to green stuff around and recreate and extend the fur. :)
@@VinceVenturella this is what I was looking for!
Thanks for the info Vince!
Man, wow. Big upgrade in montage and quality. As always, top content. Thanks Vince for everything you bring to the hobby.
My pleasure! :)
Great video as always Vince! I'm not sure I'll ever get up the nerve to try painting a whole army in 24h, but there's still so much information just for army painting in general to take away from this.
Always happy to help. :)
Oh excellent! I just started putting together some crypt horrors and was rolling over how to tackle them
Excellent. :)
Loving the production value in this one Vince. Well done.
Thank you, this was a fun one. :)
Awesome work as always, great improvement on the audio! Keep up the great content
Glad to hear I'm getting better. :)
Amazing work as always. I wish you had a clock in sight at all times to give a frame of ref.
Yeah, I am not as cool as Goobs in that regards. ;)
I love these army painting videos! They're highly motivating!
Well, you won't have to wait long for more motivation.
@@VinceVenturella There's a tipping point, sir!
Fantastic. Would love to see more projects like this
I can only do so many, I already have 19 armies. ;)
Always love these 24 hour army challenges. But the true legend actually finished it with over 6 hours to spare! I need to pick up the pace 😅
Gotta get after it. :)
Ideas for future hobby cheating: Color Theory: Grey. How to paint red demon skin. How to paint sun bleached bone. How to paint dirt and mud.
All good suggestions.
That color scheme looks LOVELY! I'm going to be painting FEC myself soon and that wyldwood/Flesh Tearers Red combo for the fur looks very nice and easy to replicate! :D
It really is simple. :)
This is probably my favorite FEC army. The conversions are great! I'm curious, what the heck are those ghouls?! I love the creepy chiropteran feel they have.
I would also like to know where they are from. Thanks.
Same! The only reason I haven't picked up FEC is the low quality of most of the sculpts.
@@kennethsmith6922 yeah the lore is great but I'm not keen on the ghouls. I do like the Grymwatch models though.
As do I
They look like they might be Marrowsuckers by Clay Beast Creations
Ey you’re getting way better at the yt algorithm good job man hope you really blow up you deserve it
Smashing job! The video is absolutely lovely as always, thank you, Vince!
Thank you. :)
Awesome stuff and the details you provide are great. Appreciate the hard work and content.
Glad you enjoy it!
Good effects. You are an iron painter! I’m doing my Beasts of Chaos horde in batches of 30 at a time and that’s enough for me!
Happy to help as always. :)
Love everything about this video. Thank you Vince!
Glad you enjoyed it!
"I did everything I could with an airbrush"
Marco Frisoni: Hold my beer!
...
Great video as always! I was looking forward to this one!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You showing off these Clay Beast Creation figures, and how easily they can be brought to the tabletop, is tempting me to grab some models and make my own force. Probably a skirmish warband, I don't want to go crazy (yet). I've got enough models in my pile of shame as it is.
Yeah, I really like their work.
Smashing success
Thank you, this was a really fun one. :)
Awesome video. I absolutely love the look of this army. The conversions are amazing. I hope to get a few Vargskyrs to convert.
The only thing is that I wish I hadn't finished my FEC before this came out.
Also those ghoul models are so much nicer than GWs
Yeah, those ghouls are awesome and have bat faces, so perfect. :)
Vincy V truly a legend!!!
This is so helpful Vince, thanks!
Interested on your take on this build for 3e, losing double move seems like a big hit for the smash bat
Yeah, it's a hit for sure, on the other hand, you gain a lot of points back not paying for 2 battalions, and you still have summons. In the end, the army is very sensitive to being unleashed, that's the major challenge, but the bat can generally hold and then strike in the mid-field. I will say that the Varghulf unit restoration is very potent in this new MSU world.
You are damn good at painting Vince, this gives me motivation to strive to get better. Wow amazing!
Thank you, happy to help. :)
Happy to fire your imagination brother. Amazing job, time to get smashing!
Can't wait!
Awesome vid, as ever. Thank you.
Do you recall where the wings on the one Vargskyr are from - the largest one with the largest wings.
Thanks!
Yep, they are from the Balrog from the Lord of the Rings line.
Brilliant. Thanks Mr @@VinceVenturella :D
Vince "The Man, The Myth, The Legend, The M'Fing GOD Of Showing Us How it's Done!"
Thank you, always happy to help. :)
great one, ty
Super entertaining and unbelievable result.
Any suggestions on a recipe (the initial drybrush and airbrush layers) for demons with colored flesh, like bloodletters?
Amazing work as always.
More or less the same stuff, but then a thinned red contrast paint. I have some earlier videos in the playlist about speedpainting Red and warm zenithals and those would be the way to go.
This reminds me there is a nice patreon of stl files with an awesome varghulf. WAit a sec... Clay Beast Creation.
Have my 3rd Clay beast Smash bat printing right now. The plan is a fully printed army the only model I don't have locked down yet is the rank and file ghoul, as much as I like clay beast that ghoul isn't doing it for me. You have any suggestions ?
@@ketrosegaming386 Not really, i just like the bat-like creatures. The ghouls for me were a litle bit like too much vampi-ry. Cool for dyd tho.
Yep, they are wonderful. :)
Awesome work Vince. Your use of red on models that you paint is so good. The best part about this type of army is that you can come back to the models and touch them up whilst being able to play full games with them.
Absolutely.
Great step by step !
Thank you, glad you enjoyed. :)
Great stuff man! Came out great. Animal !
Thank you brother. :)
Impressive and educational as always. Love your army speed paints.
Btw, in case no one's mentioned, rotbraun is pronounced like "rote brown"
Interesting! I pronounce everything wrong, so no surprise there. :)
I would highly appreciate a list with all the models/conversions used.
What are the alternative crypt ghoul models? where are the varghulf wings from? what are the ruin parts of the bases from?
Much appreciated
The alternative ghouls were 3D prints from Clay Beast Creation. The wins on the big one were from the balrog, the smaller wings are from Crypt flayers. Everything is cursed city. The ruins were a mix of basing parts from GW, and some other kits, that is the part I remember the least. :)
And I'm struggling through 15 Castigators... great work!
Always happy to help. :)
That color scheme is dope! And you are a painting machine :) good job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Good lord Vince! 77 models in a day?! Somebody get this man a masseuse!
This was pretty easy compared to the last one. :)
Really looking forward to Episode 300!
Myself as well. :)
Would love a quick tutorial on how you added the giant wings to you Vargulf! It looks absolutely amazing. 100x better than the old GW model
It was basically just glue them and then rebuild the fur with green stuff. That is simple, but very complicated at the same time. ;)
@@VinceVenturella gday mate, as Daniel mentioned loved your conversation.
What wings did you use?
Cheers for another great video
I'd also be very interested to know what wings you've used here if possible?
Great video! 😁✌🏻
Thank you!
Thanks to you and the Uglee twins (Ninjon and Miniac) there is no reason any Fanboy should be bringing a gray plastic army to the table! Weii done Vincy Veeee!
That's the goal!
Vince, your skills are insane!
Well thank you, happy to help as always. :)
Awesome results and great video as always 😁👍🏻
Thank you. :)
Vince! My man! Contrast is my preferred way to paint my Orks for 40k
It's fast and easy. :)
Very nice! In the beginning of the video you mentioned to pick the right army for a project like this. There are many speedpainting videos out there and more than one use either flesheaters or daemons of some sort just becasue they are so easy to paint fast. So, question is, what would you do different if you had an empire/city of sigmar army, around 100-150 models with cloth, flesh, leather, metal armor, cannons and steamtank and most importantly - you don't have access to an airbrush? That type of video on youtube is severly lacking, so if you want to fill a niche... actually, plz fill that niche. Plz, plz, PLZ!! =)
Well, I would likely do this - ua-cam.com/video/ct4yViEEzyg/v-deo.html
@@VinceVenturella @Vince Venturella Thx Vince, but this is not really it, I think. I didn't watch the whole thing, but it looks like you're mainly using washes and inks as contrastpaints to speed things up, right? If that's the case, is there really no way you can think of to get a decent paintjob on that kind of army while still having it paint-painted (as in not airbrushed, not washed, not inked, not contrastpainted)? This is an example of what I mean, but it's very specific to a single model and it would need some company, I think, by something covering warmachines, monsters and so on. m.ua-cam.com/video/N7Ob8oLDOns/v-deo.html
Really enjoying the new choice of music
Glad you enjoyed. :)
Great video!!
Thanks brother. :)
very impressive
Thank you. :)
Vince, you are a machine! Great video & holy crap you have a lot of paint. 😁👌
Thanks 👍
Never crossed my mind to blend contrast paint 🤦♂️, still have my copy of Cursed city sat waiting to be opened. definitely stealing this technique.
Its really great, fast and fun. :)
I love your work
Thank you. :)
wow, that's damn fast , whats with all speed painting lately on youtube is everyone training for some kinda of hardcore battle royal underground army speed painting contest held in a dank looking drained swimming pool in leads?
I think we all have too much to paint and not enough time to paint it. :)
Awesome work/video, Vince! Thank you for sharing!! Hey Vince, this reminds me...i have a question. I'm going to be doing a Fyreslayers/KO army sometime in the future. I forget which realm it is, that has all the Sylvaneth (Ghur?), but i want to do up my army with greens. Do you know of anyone who has made an army like this, and do they have pics online somewhere? I'm thinking lots of greens/yellows/reds.
Ghyran has all the sylvaneth, but I haven't really seen anyone do such an army, sounds awesome though!
Hey Vince, this army project looks amazing. Im about to paint a 40k Tyranids army and would love to apply your color sheme to those Tyranids.
Could u give a short guide on how u created those bases aswell? (Like crackles, applying pigments etc)
And which Primer did u use?
So the primer was vallejo german panzer grey and then stynelrez white over the top. The bases were pretty simple, but this is the tutorial that is closest (just painted differently) - ua-cam.com/video/1movJG8ivcM/v-deo.html
@@VinceVenturella thanks a lot :) got quite a couple of Videos on my to watch list now :D
Great job. Love the kitbashing. What was the name of the colour palette you used? I have noticed you explicitly refer to the names of these colour palettes that Old Masters used in their painting in other painting videos and discussions. I really appreciate it. I feel like I am always learning when I watch or listen to one of your videos or shows whilst I am painting. Thank you. Maybe you could create a new series Hobby Cheating Plus. But seriously you are an inspiration.
Thank you, always happy to help. It's the Zorn palette.
Hi Vince, two questions:
Whats your opinion on lacquer paints like the tamiya ones. I hear they behave super uncomplivated through the airbrush when compared to acrylics
Do you have tips for painting armour trim in a away that. A) still looks interesting. B) doesnt take hours C) is safe for the miniature to not get painted over.
I am thinking of getting into titanicus and the trim scares me
Concerning quick metal recipes: i like sponging pale burnt metal over the edges of a darker metal that has been washed with either an enamel rust product or just black. Looks like a chipped edge
I will be honest, I have never really tried them. :)
Awesome!!!
Thank you. :)
Giving the video a like just out of respect for the perseverance it took to get through all that. Seventeen hours of painting is grueling.
Thank you, very much apprecaited. :)
Hey Vince, was wondering how you go about your posture while painting. Do you have any tips there? I had lumbago last week and I think it might be related to how I paint, was wondering how you go about this. Thanks in advance!
Feet flat on the floor, try to sit with your thighs and rump paralell to the floor. Try to sit like you're tucking an imaginary dog tail up in the air and don't want to sit on it.
@@VinceVenturella Thanks for the reply, will keep this in mind
Hello, nice to see someone doing great service to my favorite nobles. I really like the creation of such a complex skin color through just a few steps. I was thinking of doing mine with more of a turquoise skin color, is there anything you would change about the colors sprayed from below to achieve that? I was thinking of spraying a crimson color from below so that the shadows would turn a purplish color where the turquoise met the crimson, but I am not sure.
I think that sounds perfect. :)
@@VinceVenturella I'll give it a shot and share the results
Cool stuff
Thank you. :)
