This was Bangles at their Best when they were hitting on all four cylinders and shared the vocal duties. All of their unique vocal talents and musical abilities are what made the Bangles Great. It was a beautiful fusion of these lovely ladies' awesome talents.
@@danielfronc4304 actually there were four of them so 4 cylinder actually is the right term to use on this awesome rock n roll quadruple. Love to have all four of them at once oh my oh my oh my.
Love the guitar solos, never heard these tunes and as the first song played, Vicki's guitar playing blew me away and susanna's vocals though they all have great voices. Cool bass and drums as well. Up there with Girlschool as my favorite female bands.
@@ullischuster1263 She played for close to or more than 15 bands before Bangles. Including The Runaways' with Joan Jet et al. She was and is a very highly rated bass player by musicians far and wide.
@@rialobran You're right, I know. By the way, she was also the first singer of the first women's rock band! What I wanted to say was... the bangles were a fantastic rock band. And Michael contributed a lot to it! They are the most successful women BAND ever. But somehow they are unfortunately not recognized by many as a real rock band. That's very sad. I don't understand why. Maybe because of their hits... in any case, i love and adore michael steele, as an artist and as a human being. ...simply because she is the best of all!
It's not true unfortunately, anyway they should already be in hall of fame and walk of fame. Don‘t forget that their main hit was banned for several years both in USA (2001) and in UK (1991). We don‘t live in a free world.
I bought a CD box set of rare 60's garage tunes called 'Nuggets' and on it was the song "Live' by The Merry-Go-Round. It sounded like the Bangles in the 60's. No wonder the Bangles covered it - song was practically written for them.
Micki Steele! You are the best! hate to say but without you, I will not know the bangles! You are my favorite and you are the most beautiful and the most talented among them! You are the Queen of bass! Your face is a masterpiece of God! Wherever you are, I hope you are doing great! We miss you and we love you!
All of them were so talented and played awesome together. I hate to think how fame made them start fighting each other. If it wasn't for that they would have been even bigger than what they achieved to be.
I've been looking for this concert footage for a long time. I saw it when it aired on MTV in 86 before I played drums myself. Now that I am a musician, I love the earlier Bangles concerts when they sounded great. They are just awful now, so bad I can't even watch. This stuff does them justice. =)
zierkly Damn I saw them around 2005 and they sounded even better than this (also saw them 7 times from 86-89). Then again that was 12 years ago. Mickey is gone now too.
Siempre dije que las Bangle's son la version femeninas de los Beatles por su calidad musical y por su estilo de interpretación vocal, grandes y talentosas y sin necesidad de exhibicionismo, gran grupo representativo de lo mejor de los 80'
Forgive my crude-ness, but I must admit, that while Vicki is my CRUSH, I find myself wishing I was that little snare drum @ 10:49. If you're going to be between a drummer's legs........
These women can rock on. Amazing stuff.
Micki is so cool with the bass
Love her hair and nose
Regal like a lion
I totally agree. I’m a nose person!
Didn't realize they were so good live!
Love those harmonies! Such beautiful voices , all four of them! Wish I had been there.
That's the thing about the Bangles, the harmonies of these girls plus they can rock their instruments.
Same here... Geesh how I would love to experience that 🤩 That interpretation of "If She Knew What She Wants"! ...it's just from another World 💖💖💖🤩😍
...and then "Return Post" and Debbie singing "their/her philosophy", wow, just can't get enough of it 🤩😍
The Bangles were awesome, ,,..and still are !
Not as awesome, there's a notable discrepancy in the lineup.

This band here could kick anybody's ass ! Phantastic concert!
*"Firing on all cylinders" is the correct saying because there's plenty of 8 cylinders out there, and yes, they certainly were.

Vicki and Debbi Peterson - two ladies of rock with the attitude and the sass to match their talents in singing and playing instruments.
I was here when I was 9! I didn't know what love was until I saw Susanna Hoffs. Wow. Puberty hit early.
Love the guitar solos, never heard these tunes and as the first song played, Vicki's guitar playing blew me away and susanna's vocals though they all have great voices. Cool bass and drums as well. Up there with Girlschool as my favorite female bands.
love the bass players style!!
Hukilau Yes, Michael Steele did have a coolness to how she played.
Very under-rated as a musician, song-writer, & vocalist.

You can hear how musically tight they were. Very energetic show. They had the audience in rapture.
Las hermanas súper talentosas ❤ Que espectacular sonaban en vivo todas
1986 The Bangles maxed out their Hair Size ... LOL ... the era of really big back-lit hair
Dude, my hair was also that tall. It was all the rage. The beautiful 80's.
Incredible sound ... Hoffs has very unique voice!
I always thought it as a "baby voice" lol

Great show. Thanks for posting. Excessive echo on the vocals at a few points, otherwise terrific.

she is sooo beautiful! She is the most beautiful among them!
Me encanta este grupo Chile Teresa Tapia tercera region
They are all so beautiful. Never kuck a Bangle out of bed.
Sussanna hoffs wow
Mega Band ❤
The synth overpowers the band, especially the guitar interplay. And as somebody also pointed out, they way overdo the echo effects.
Great concert. Too bad whoever is running the board is playing with the damn digital delay like a kid with a new toy. Excruciating.
Echo at venue I recon
Come on hall of fame.the bangles are ready.what the hell y'all waiting for.
"Return Post" and "Live" are strongly influenced by Fairport Convention/ Richard Thompson.
Live they are also good
Yes. I think, the songs sound live better than on record. This is a real good Band!
Greatest Band!
Surely the greatest female band.
Is there a set list for this Bangles concert?
On spotify theres a live recording of this preformance so i think the track order of that is the order of the set list

There's no need to insult the musicality of a person simply because you disagree with them, Kerry.
They still sound great. Just not as great as they did with Micki playing bass & doing vocals on a certain song (September Gurls).
Return Post.
