1986 was THE BEST year in rock and metal music. Europe, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, and even lighter bands like The Bangles, were all on top of their game and releasing amazing albums.
i JUST LOVE THE HELL OUT OF THIS BAND! They all have different voices and abilities, but they put it together and made some great music. Live long and prosper!
They are ridiculously underrated. Different Light is one of my fav albums. For 30+ years it remains in high rotation. Their harmonies are absolute killers.
Wow! How'd you like to have been one of the lucky kids there that night who had Susanna Hoffs on her knees right next to you playing guitar and looking like an angel? Great band, great time for music!
I love the Bangles, better than the crap records companies dish out today like Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran, music you want to slit your wrist at, Just love Susanna Hoff voice.
when compared to The Beach Boys, for their harmony, or musicianship, or how they all sing beautifully, there's no doubt Micki would be Dennis. she's cool, she does her own thing. she just hangs out back there, not needing a spot-light all the time, ROCKS her instrument, and she sings less (here anyway) than the others
ha ha. I was thinkin Charlie as well. Micki and him are the quiet(er) ones, just doin their thing in the back, with extreme precision, not looking for any kind of spot-light.
Men at the Label wanted to indulge their most perverse fantasies so in their minds they Cast Sue as Lolita, in a vocal sense. (She does sound like a 13yo, doesn't she?)
Sue was never the "lead singer" of the band! They all sang lead on various songs. The MISTAKE the record exec'd made was in releasing mostly songs that featured Sue doing the lead vocals. Out of seven songs released over the span of 3 albums, Sue sang 5, & Debbie sang 2. No songs featuring Vicki or Micki were released.
The truth is she was never lead vocal. They all did their songs they wrote. The problem is all the hits were Susanna songs. Because she was the only good song writer. So with the exception of maybe a few good songs Debbi did, she looks like the lead singer on everything.
Micki my Favorite ! Her eyes, her lips, her legs, WOWOWOW !!!
....her voice, her playing, her movements, her charisma...
Just an amazing group, voices, harmonies, individual musical talents and beauty

3/4 of The Bangles still perform live.

The first song here is at 0:50.its called going down to liverpool.
Not trying to be mean, but watching Micki and Sue @ 2:31, my 2 cats (both female) do the same thing...
That was Micki's thought as well as she was sneering/ hissing at Susanna lol
4 people...........on a stage that large.............they have to entertain themselves somehow.

I get it...all of it.
she owned that crew
Hoffs is by far the most talented not to mention the hottest

Y'all are awesome ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
never been a big fan of Debbie's singing or drumming, with one exception: her vocals shine on Going Down to Liverpool
Bangles mistake was ever letting susanna hoffs evefr taking lead vocals....all down hill from there
The demand was too high. They couldn't stop her from becoming lead vocal

Yes, major record companies don't care about the artistic values of musicans. All they care about is $$$!! :/

Jessi Snowden Not really.
