Here are some amazon links to the tool, tool and boot kit, and a cheap tool version from amazon. I make money from purchases of these links. Thank you!

Never knew such a tool existed. This is so you don't have to remove the knuckle clips. I always do though. Makes cleaning out the old grease easier.

Yup! I put links in the description for amazon. They are not clickable on shorts in youtube anymore. But you could copy and paste them. You can get these anywhere. Amazon has the most choice right now and they seem to be the cheapest 😃

Would you recommend possibly boiling it for maybe 20 seconds so it can have better elasticity?

Good point and very true! Usually the value and durability of an oem axle is much higher than economical aftermarket replacements. So if just the boot is bad, I like to replace the boot 😃🔧

So you don't clean out the old grease and dirt? How long do you expect the joint to last? You know a few taps with the hammer and the joint will come off the shaft right? How is this saving any time or making it easier?

    • @on1ytheb3st

theoretically if the original boots hasn't torn yet; there hasn't been any ingress of grime or foreign matter.

@@on1ytheb3st so why would you replace the boot if it isn't torn? Also isn't that more work than just 2 hits with a hammer to pull the joint off?

Here is a video on testing them and forcing noise from the front cv-axles. Listen for the crunch crunch and clunk clunk under load. Can happen when cornering or accelerating most cases. Usually the noise follows the tire speed and clunks every half revolution 😃🔧
