When i'm stressed for a longer period, it comes back and I suffer more from it. Don't get stressed is the medicine.
That's true. Last month I went for an audiometry to test my hearing cos I felt one ear couldn't hear as well as the other. I had no tinnitus though. I did the test The doctor said "Nothing wrong with the inside of the ear, do an MRI", and that night I started hearing a pulsatile tinnitus at times so loud that I would get very frustrated and concerned for days. I thought it was bizarre it happened after the audiometry and not before. So recently I told another otorhinolaryngologist about this and he said it's very typical for people to start having tinnitus right after an audiometry, precisely because of stress. (note: did the MRI with contrast and there was nothing wrong anywhere; so the mild hear loss I experience was probably due to an infection)

Is this like a retraining exercise so the brain only listens for this particular pink noise signal which is already existing as a functional part of your frequency spectrum. So when you turn this off it's listening for this and no longer hears the tinnitus from your pulsatile issue ?
Facts. Tinnitus is just too loud. Plus i subconsciously adjust what my brain is listening out for and then it for some dumb reason clicks back into the tinnitus frequency
The pitch is waaaay to high for me. It makes me very anxious and I want to run away from it. (Same with white noise.) The pink sound does mask tinnitus for me but I cant tolerate the pitch. I am calmed by the lower pitch of brown noise, but it doesnt mask my tinnitus as well. Sigh.
I have had Tinnitus for over six months now. I tried everything on UA-cam and had my hearing aids adjusted to mask the Tinnitus noise. Nothing worked. So I went to an ENT specialist, who told me to close my nostrils and then blow really hard for a few seconds multiple times a day. In addition he told me to use Nasacort/triamcinolone in each nostril at bedtime x 2 weeks, then when that two week ends start using OTC budesonide 1 spray each nostril at bedtime x 2 weeks. I am in my second week trying this recommendation, which has already fixed my Tinnitus. The blowing really hard and holding my nostrils closed is what did it, but it could be the Nasacort with the nostril pinching/blowing that solved the problem. If this worked for me, I think it might work for you. Always see an ENT specialist before trying what was proscribed for me.
@@ctjbush7655 Thank you for your question. I listened to it between 45 minutes and an hour When I read right before going to sleep, a couple nights a week. I think I will start using it at different points during the day also, to see if that keeps it down.

I have recently started having trouble with tinnitus due to a medication I'm on. This sound masks it perfectly and, when I hit pause after just a few minutes, it stops entirely!
Thank you for saying that about the headphones.. I usually use the one that closes, I didn't even think that it could affect it.. this is really soothing💓
I've read studies that suggest tinnitus isn't an ear problem but it stems from a neck injury which makes sense to me considering my tinnitus began after an auto accident in which I hit my head on the dashboard.
The thing that helps my tinnitus is low salt diet. When I eat a lot of salt, it’s so loud. The other thing that helps is staying healthy . The other thing that makes tinnitus very loud is Peptol Bismol and other medications. Living a healthy life and exercise helps a lot.
hey when you got tinnitus, was it just randomly one day. and does it ever fully go away? i ask because i randomly got it at 4AM 2 days ago ( im 14) and it hasnt fully stopped yet. i didnt listen to anything loud and i cant put my finger on how i got it, i see tons of comments of people being like "ive had constant non-stop ear annihilating noise ever since i was blah blah blah." so ive become extremely (and i MEAN EXTREMELY) paranoid on how long this will last. also more on the low salt diet thing, this may have to do with hydration, tinnitus can be from dehydration. unless you already drink tons of water each day and im just a random internet "uhmm aktually hav yu tried" i suggest you drink more water. ( again im sorry if im just telling you stuff i already know)
@@ziloleepic3390 I remember the day I messed up my hearing. I went to a club party and put my ears right up to the speaker that was blasting music when I was young maybe 16-17 years old. Irreparable damage. As far as I know, there is no cure and I’ve had tinnitus for 13 years now but you learn to live with it to the point where you don’t notice it’s there. I’m sues if you speak to a few people, they will tell you they also have some form of tinnitus due to military, brain injury or construction jobs etc. I think right now all you can do is therapy of hear some white noise in the background. Personally I came to terms with the fact that I’ll have tinnitus till the day I die and that’s okay with me. It doesn’t affect me. I was devastated when i was 16-17 years old but I got over it fast. There’s so many ways to avoid the noise, a constant fan running, AC running or simply playing the sounds of crickets or running water in the background. It forces you to also live a healthy lifestyle which is good. :)
We're thrilled to hear you had a restful night! Sleep is so important for overall well-being, and we're glad our content could help. Keep utilizing these techniques, and here's to many more peaceful nights ahead!
Thanks Dr Ben. My high pitch tinnitus seems to be persistent through the pink noise but I will persevere as I know you need to be consistent with sound therapy.
Persistence with sound therapy is crucial for relief, even if the high-pitched tinnitus persists initially. Consistency in utilizing sound therapy can gradually lead to positive changes in managing or reducing the intensity of the sound. Stay committed, as it might take time for your brain to adapt and respond to the therapy.
I just had seven hours of continuous sleep using this pink noise. While it did not totally mask the tinnitus it made it much more bearable. I have had tinnitus since I was a teen, I am now 61. Recently I have been diagnosed with eustascian tube dysfunction which seems to be worse in my right ear. During episodes of ETD I experience fullness in the ear similar to having water in the ear and the tinnitus is magnified exponentially! I am so greatful for discovering this video and will continue to use the pink noise and report on its effectiveness in a subsequent comment.
You're welcome! I'm glad to hear that this sound therapy video was able to provide relief for your tinnitus and effectively mask the ringing in your ears.
This is very helpful. I was skeptical whether pink noise would match the high pitch of my tinnitus. It did for the brief time I tried it just now (5 min). I want to let it run overnight,as a quiet environment is my nemesis. Thanks.
I've had Tinnitus for 30+ years and have always had to use a fan when I slept. I started listening to Box Fan on Amazon Music, but I think the best is Pink Noise. I hope this helps other sufferers.
Literally.. it’s terrible. I’m not sure how this helps anyone other than tricking them while listening to it by being unable to tell if they’re hearing their own tinnitus or this God awful sound
Yes! I played this on my large tv after only listening to it on my phone and the first thing my husband asked was who is that in the video? It kind of creeped me out a little.
All frequencies are being used but pink noise has more power at the lower frequencies and less at the higher frequencies. This means that pink noise focuses more on the lower pitches.
Hi Dr Ben, thank you so much for all your videos, they have been very helpful & hopeful, I can't thank you enough. Could you please tell me for how long is recommended to hear this sound therapy and for how many times in a day? T H A N K S !!
Hello Sergio, the duration of sound therapy for tinnitus can vary depending on the individual and the severity of their tinnitus. Some people may find relief from tinnitus symptoms after just a few sessions of sound therapy, while others may need to continue the therapy for a longer period of time to achieve significant improvement. The length of treatment can also depend on the type of sound therapy being used. For example, if a person is using a sound machine or white noise generator to help them sleep at night, they may continue to use the device as long as it remains helpful. If you start to experience worsening of your tinnitus, try switching sounds. For instance, going from cricket sounds to pink noise. Hope this helps!
I'm a cochlear implant user, my tinnitus can be pretty bad that it makes it hard to hear over other things. I'm glad my processor can directly stream this so I can mask the ringing!
rest assured youre not that bad. if T was so much loader than all else how would this help. even playing this audio just amplifies the constant torture
I like this but the pink noise Isn’t quite my frequency….. if for instance, there was some good evidence that repeated exposure to the pink could indeed remedy chronic tinnitus I would be all over it every day.
@@serch_4090 Yes. Especially at night when I am trying to sleep. I usually get to sleep by listening to videos with sounds of rain. Complete silence is the worst. During the day, its there but I'm distracted and too busy.
I recently had ear waxed removed and ever since my tinnitus has gotten worse. Before I just had a ringing in my right ear, I still have the ringing but now I have a buzzing in my left ear.
Gd day Dr Ben. I have ringing in my left ear. Night time it is loud and hissing. You did mentioned not to listen with headphone and not to listen with closed ear canal etc.. I have hearing loss and I am wearing Resound Hearing Aid. Can I use my hearing aid to listen the pink noise during daytime and at night I will listen to it as background sound in the room. Thank you so much for your advise . ❤
Ok serious question.. what if this doesnt work? Is there another color to try? I've been listening to this for about 30 mins the high pitch noise is behind all this and now I have a migraine 🙄 🤔 also for some odd reason this .. I dont even know how to explain it correctly but some how this makes the back lower half of my head hurt and it sounds strange but on both sides of my temple I swear I can almost feel the blow flowing up towards in a vein and its feels soooooo gross :/ at this point I just feel mental 😑
Sometimes I wonder ... the last couple of days a big solar eruption took place, to the point that in France and Germany polar lights could be seen. My tinnitus was out of order and ringing so loud that I had trouble hearing anything. What if we tinnitus plagued "hear" frequencies? It would explain why sometimes it fades to almost nothing and then flares up out of the blue.
That's an interesting observation. While there's no scientific consensus linking solar activity to tinnitus, it’s fascinating to consider how external factors might influence our perception of sound. If you're experiencing significant changes in your tinnitus, it might be helpful to keep a journal of these episodes and discuss them with a tinnitus specialist.
Hey Mohammad, you asked some good personalized questions here. My answer depends on more information that I do not yet know about your history. Feel free to contact our team at Treble Health and we can do our best to help you.
Pink noise can heal or reduce hyperacusis for some people. Try playing it while you sleep for a couple of nights and see if you notice any improvement. You might experience a temporary increase in tinnitus but that should go away in a few minutes to a few hours after switching off the pink noise, however, you should definitely work on the hyperacusis first before addressing the tinnitus. As for volume, please be careful with it or it can do more harm than good. In the meantime, if you have any hearing loss, infection, ear pain, jaw issues, or headaches, definitely have it checked out! Good luck.
I am hearing a rapid ticking sound in the back of this track. I have paused the video 3 times to check. It’s just the way my brain hears the sound. If I wasn’t trying to sleep, this audio would probably be okay for writing or reading! I will try that later.
My tinnitus is in the form of a rapid ticking sound. Initially this sound of a waterfall helped but now the ticking sound has got louder. My GP who used to be an ENT consultant said the ticking sound is because of excess ear wax. I've had my ears syringed in the past but now have to go to an audiologist. Fingers crossed that it stops after my appointment next week

I listened to this last night. This morning, for the first time in YEARS, no ringing. Trying it again tonight.
Glad to hear that! 😊

When, how and how long did you listen?
@@ctjbush7655 Thank you for your question. I listened to it between 45 minutes and an hour When I read right before going to sleep, a couple nights a week. I think I will start using it at different points during the day also, to see if that keeps it down.
@@StressJudoCoaching thanks so much for responding. Do you listen on your computer, with your phone, or what do you listen on. Earphones or not. How? Again thank you
@@ctjbush7655 I just turn the video on the phone and sit it beside me while I'm reading

Strange feeling without the ringing now. Will see how it goes long term.
I'm thrilled to hear that the sound therapy worked for you instantly, providing relief from the ringing. It's a positive sign, and I hope the benefits continue for you in the long term. 💜
Eager to get results. This ringing needs to go! I’m curious about the people talking on the screen. What tv show or movie is it?
Thanks for sharing this.. I really enjoy listening.. its soothing.
You're welcome! I'm glad to hear that the sound therapy is soothing and enjoyable for you. 💜
It probably is related to your accident
It’s not from your ear it’s from the brain
@@cherylemaes6649 That's also a possibility.
I broke a window with my head when I was 13. Now in 35 and my neck and head hurt all the time. I’ve had tinnitus for about 11 years now.
@@normajauregui24 I have complete symphony for you. I have suffered for decades. I hope you can find some relief.
The thing that helps my tinnitus is low salt diet. When I eat a lot of salt, it’s so loud. The other thing that helps is staying healthy . The other thing that makes tinnitus very loud is Peptol Bismol and other medications.
Living a healthy life and exercise helps a lot.
Thanks for sharing! :)
hey when you got tinnitus, was it just randomly one day. and does it ever fully go away? i ask because i randomly got it at 4AM 2 days ago ( im 14) and it hasnt fully stopped yet. i didnt listen to anything loud and i cant put my finger on how i got it, i see tons of comments of people being like "ive had constant non-stop ear annihilating noise ever since i was blah blah blah." so ive become extremely (and i MEAN EXTREMELY) paranoid on how long this will last.
also more on the low salt diet thing, this may have to do with hydration, tinnitus can be from dehydration. unless you already drink tons of water each day and im just a random internet "uhmm aktually hav yu tried" i suggest you drink more water.

Thanks for your work on this sound and other on your chain. My very best regards from a Frenchman who suffer tinnitus for years. It's a relief.
Had a really restful night last night for the longest while. This is so helpful. My tinnitus drives me crazy when I'm trying to fall asleep
My tinnitus is more of a ring then hiss. Perhaps you could create a sound from bells at the same frequency?
Hi Dr Ben : When will the results drug of Fx-345 ?
What drug
Love the sound in this video. Sounds like a relaxing rain. Thank you!
Glad you found it relaxing! Enjoy the peaceful ambiance it brings! 💜
This completely covers my ringing. Thanks!
You're welcome! I'm glad to hear that this sound therapy video was able to provide relief for your tinnitus and effectively mask the ringing in your ears.
Whats with the ghostly apparitions in the pink noise fuzz? Kind off creeped me out haha
I was literally just thinking the same was looking through comments to see if anyone else noticed
Within two nights of pink noise the tennitus cleared completely. I suffered one year with debilitating irritation and hearing loss. Thank you!
Glad it helped. You're welcome, Linda. :)
What kind of hearing loss did you have the regular frequency speech?
This is very helpful. I was skeptical whether pink noise would match the high pitch of my tinnitus. It did for the brief time I tried it just now (5 min). I want to let it run overnight,as a quiet environment is my nemesis. Thanks.
Even if you don't have tinnitus, this is good for concentration strangely enough.
I've had Tinnitus for 30+ years and have always had to use a fan when I slept. I started listening to Box Fan on Amazon Music, but I think the best is Pink Noise. I hope this helps other sufferers.
I'm from Kazakhstan. Thank you very much, Dr.Ben
You are welcome! 😊
Every time I listen to stuff like this, my tinnitus is worse than before!
Literally.. it’s terrible. I’m not sure how this helps anyone other than tricking them while listening to it by being unable to tell if they’re hearing their own tinnitus or this God awful sound
True. I agree more
dependa for me this is ok, when I am listening to crickets it grts worse XD
Yeah! I can't hear the ringing so much. I like the absence of the bass frequencies, they can be a bit stressful. This is more like rain or wind
Your videos do seem to help my tinnitus. Thank you so much!
I'm so glad! You're welcome, Pamela! 😊
What frequency is being used for this pink noise? More importantly, who are those people I see in the picture?
Pink noise is a combo of all frequencies from 20-20khz, lower frequencies have higher intensity
Yes! I played this on my large tv after only listening to it on my phone and the first thing my husband asked was who is that in the video? It kind of creeped me out a little.
I thot I was seeing things lol
All frequencies are being used but pink noise has more power at the lower frequencies and less at the higher frequencies. This means that pink noise focuses more on the lower pitches.
I have found relief listening to this with AirPods pro spatialize audio fixed turned on.
Do you advice to use it mixed with the sound of another video, for exemple voices
We recommend sound therapy to be a calming, soothing sound without words or lyrics.
This one works for mine. I was pleasantly surprised.
It certainly gives some relief
Amaizing
I'm glad my processor can directly stream this so I can mask the ringing!
rest assured youre not that bad. if T was so much loader than all else how would this help. even playing this audio just amplifies the constant torture
at what volume we should hear Ben? and i have high pitch noise, is this suitable. i still hear my high pitch sound behind this pinck noise.
I see people’s faces and bodies on screen. Anyone else? Maybe I have more than one problem. 🤔
No. I saw them, too 😉
Yes saw them too
yeah, that gave me the creeps. it looked eerie like a weird situation going on 🤷♀️
Yes i see em to 😂😂😂
Something is definitely there 😮😢😢
I like this but the pink noise Isn’t quite my frequency….. if for instance, there was some good evidence that repeated exposure to the pink could indeed remedy chronic tinnitus I would be all over it every day.
Its not one frequency its a noise
Pink noise is every frequency in the human hearing range. 20-20,000hz
I’m not happy with a noise to cover up a noise.
You are right, but for some people can be a puntual solution in times of desperation
@@serch_4090 Yes. Especially at night when I am trying to sleep. I usually get to sleep by listening to videos with sounds of rain. Complete silence is the worst. During the day, its there but I'm distracted and too busy.

Any comment on research that points toward white noise as damaging to the auditory cortex? (white noise, pink noise, background noise)
Thank you so much for this. My tinnitus is quite loud.
This is My chosen Sound therapy
Ok serious question.. what if this doesnt work? Is there another color to try? I've been listening to this for about 30 mins the high pitch noise is behind all this and now I have a migraine 🙄
🤔 also for some odd reason this .. I dont even know how to explain it correctly but some how this makes the back lower half of my head hurt and it sounds strange but on both sides of my temple I swear I can almost feel the blow flowing up towards in a vein and its feels soooooo gross :/ at this point I just feel mental 😑
Will this also work for hyperacusis?
The pink noise is nice… soothing… 👍
Hello, Dr. Ben Thomson, Im from Colombia, What about reve 134 treatment?, thanks

You're welcome, John! Be well. :)
If you're experiencing significant changes in your tinnitus, it might be helpful to keep a journal of these episodes and discuss them with a tinnitus specialist.
hey Ben. Thanks for the video. can I use this to heal hyperacusis and gradually increase the volume?
Best of luck, Erin! 😊
Thank you so much for putting so much effort into creating this tinnitus masking sound! 🎉
Pink noise is known to have a balanced distribution of sound from low to high frequencies, which naturally masks the unpleasant ringing caused by tinnitus.
Thanks to this, it seems like it will be a great comfort and help to those struggling with tinnitus. 😊

Tinnitus is only a sound,
People have it for different reasons!
If it's temporary it will go away but if it's terminal and Chronic there are know cure!
I lost my high pitch earring,
I went to the best of Doctor's here in NC and they told me it would never go away but
For me to cut down on salt,
Sugar, spicy,
Food, that it would spike it,
The first two years I broke the banks I thought my life was over,
The biggest thing that helped me is excepting it,
Believe me there's life after Tinnitus!
God bless 🙌

It doesn't work for me. As a musician, it's hard for me to do anything with this "background sound"
