    had severe tinnitus since I was 9 shooting high powered rifles in the 70s at the range no protection when we used to hang em in our trucks back window. over 50 years now Ive had to not let it control me or drive me insane. I guess ive had my whole life to learn to live with it. i love the masking sounds but when I turn it off my tinnitus comes back as strong as ever. sometimes it's very depressing knowing I'll NEVER know anything but every high pitched tone ...all of them ...billions at full volume. At 60 now im getting the occasional bicycle bell ring ring to go with the cacophony of every high pitched tone imaginable blastng in my head. I can still hear people talk and musuc and tv but it never stops.its always on top of everything. people just don't understand.

      If you really wanted to help people,it should be as free.
      It’s not like you needed a massive budget to get this one made.

      I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing changes in your tinnitus after receiving your first COVID-19 vaccine shot. In the meantime, practicing relaxation techniques, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and minimizing exposure to loud noises or stressors may help manage your tinnitus symptoms. It's also beneficial to seek support from healthcare professionals who specialize in tinnitus management, such as an audiologist or an ENT specialist, for personalized guidance and treatment options.

    I don't understand what "masking noise" means. It is a pleasant sound but doesn't do anything for or to my tinnitus.
    Does it require a special gadget or do I have to listen for a long time - overnight ? I have listened to a number of different frequencies, do I have to keep searching for the correct frequency? Again, what is it supposed to do?

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  8 місяців тому

      Individuals experiencing bothersome tinnitus are advised to incorporate sound therapy into both daytime and nighttime routines. Various devices, such as earphones, speakers, surround sound systems, and hearing aids, can be utilized to deliver the sound. It's essential to adjust the volume to a level where the tinnitus remains audible. The objective of sound therapy isn't to mask the tinnitus but rather to play it at a lower volume, enabling the brain to contrast it with the tinnitus itself, aiding in habituation. You can choose any sound that you find relaxing/soothing, it does not have to correlate with the frequency of your tinnitus. If you'd like to discuss further with one of our Audiologists, you can use this link to schedule a complimentary telehealth consultation: treble.health/consultation

      The frequency of the crickets may be higher than the fire crackling making it difficult to hear. Leave the overall volume at a level that is "soft but audible", below the volume of your tinnitus. You are also welcome to find another sound that may sound better for you!

    I have Tinnitus since 2010 and I don’t know what to listen to. I have tried to listen to high frequencies but I can’t hear anything when I do. I have listened to water a hundred of them and that seems to make it worse. I can’t even hear crickets. I don’t know what to look for at this time. Dr. Ben Do you have any ideas for me.

      We are so sorry to hear you've been suffering from tinnitus for many years. Have you seen an Audiologist for a hearing test as it sounds like there may be some hearing loss. Keep exploring our sound therapy options. There's also a great app on the phone called ReSound Tinnitus Relief that has more sound therapy options. We would be happy to discuss further with you in a one on one consultation. Schedule a complimentary telehealth consultation: treble.health/consultation

      We recommend following up with your primary care physician and Ear, Nose and Throat doctor to ensure everything is anatomically intact. The most common reason for single sided tinnitus is earwax blocking the canal.

    Question for the Dr Ben and anyone else who has experience.
    Can MRI scans make Tinnitus worse? Would you recommend someone who recently developed tinnitus go for an mri scan?
    The ent specialist I have been talking to has gave me a date for an mri scan but all my instincs say don't put your head in a spinning magnet. If my tinnitus get 0.1% worse, it's the end for me. I am just holding it together just now.
    Any advice would be appreciated. I understand an mri scan is part of the process but all my instincs say don't do it. What's people thoughts?

      Tinnitus can stem from various factors, regardless of age. Surprisingly, many people aren't even aware that the sound they hear has a specific name! By spreading awareness about tinnitus, we might see more individuals openly acknowledging their experience with it.

    How to reduce the sounds of.drum beating in the ear 24hours

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  10 місяців тому

      To help reduce the constant drumming or beating sound in your ear 24 hours a day, consider implementing strategies such as managing stress through relaxation techniques like deep breathing and meditation. Additionally, using background sound therapy with white noise or gentle music can help mask the sound and provide relief. Avoiding loud noises, maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and regular exercise, and consulting with a specialist such as an audiologist or ENT can further assist in managing tinnitus symptoms and improving overall well-being.

    Gosh, I just realised that I haven't heard any ringing all day. DIdn't even notice!! how wonderful after being a bit obsessed by it/and say orting it out over a few months. Your soundscapes have been a so very helpful (along with neck stretches, various kinds of tapping (especially the various kinds of 'beating the celestial drum' . Thanks again!!!!

      We're sorry to hear you didn't find benefit from this sound. Sound therapy is not a one size fits all. We encourage to explore other sound therapy options until you find one that is calming/neutral to your central nervous system. Be sure that you are using it at a level below the volume of your tinnitus.

      We understand how frustrating and scary it can be when the tinnitus reacts differently than how we would expect. Ensure you are listening to the sound at volume just below your tinnitus as we want to avoid masking it. It's also important that you use a sound that is comforting to you as sound therapy is not one size fits all. Feel free to explore other sound therapy options on our youtube channel until you find one that is comforting for you. I've heard bits and pieces of this fact. The Government needs to come clean and tell the American people the truth. I'm not crazy by any means I just know I'm being monitored for some reason. Wake up people.

      You are being watched right now from the control room. Add up the month and day of your birth, then open a book to page 150. The fourth word on that page, along with your birth number is your code. The next time someone knocks on your door, give them the code. But don't say anything else. This is important.
