Pale Waves were formed a few years ago in Manchester England......just a few minutes drive north of where i live.
The video was filmed in a flat in Manchester, though I can't place the area exactly.
Little story of minor interest....
Mike mentioned Ian Curtis of Joy Division.
Being a Macclesfield born guy myself, I know a few musical legends in and around the area.
I used to play regularly in a club called Cuban Knights, formerly Bar Cuba (long since gone) which was owned by Curtis's former bandmate Peter Hook of New Order, the late Andy Rourke from The Smiths and Mani from The Stone Roses and Primal Scream.
I spent some time in the studio when Bernard Sumner of Joy Division, New Order, Electronic and (with a friend of mine Jake who co wrote, played on, recorded and toured as band member with along with Blur bassist Alex James) Bad Lieutenant was recording the (latter) album.
I got to hear the demo's being put down over a coffee break from rehearsals.
It was a good time to be alive as it opened a few doors for me working with a number of big names and personnel of legendary artistes.
In addition, I highly recommend 'Black' by Pale Waves.
It has that huge sunny day, summer festival feels to it 😁♥️
