this is a combination of two comic stories. One is old man logan, where the villains won, and heroes either became one or died, wolverine was broken unable to die, the post apocalyptic world shown. Highly recommend reading it, its dark but has great story telling. The other is Cassandra Nova Xavier's twin sister who he killed in the womb, but in a few stories survived and is the more powerful evil one.

We see his mutant abilities activate after he witnessed his father's death in 1845 in the 2009, Wolverine Origins movie. The opening sequence that follows shows Wolverine and his half-brother Sabretooth fighting side-by-side in the American Civil War, WWI, WWII, and the Vietnam War; that alone shows the passage of 114 years! I don't know what year this movie is supposed to take place in but the prime timeline in the MCU is around 2026. If this movie takes place in 2026, Wolverine would be 194 years old in this movie! 7:16 I might be mistaken, but I think this is an N64 Golden Eye reference, unlimited ammo. 8:27 That would be Cassandra Nova. In the comics, she's Professor Xavier's evil twin sister. This being the MCU and a Multiverse story, Cassandra Nova will probably end up being a variant of Charles, in the same way, Gwen Stacy is a Spider-Man variant and Sylvie is a variant of Loki. Charles could take over the world if he wanted to, but that's not his MO. His evil twin however, well, let's just say she's one crazy @$$ B!+
I met Hugh Jackman right before he started filming this. He was big in person but nowhere near as big as in this trailer. He either bulked WAY up after I met him or it's Hollywood magic. It was awesome meeting him
They guy talking about "this wolverine letting down his entire world" at minute 5:14 is Matthew McFadden who was Darcy in the 2005 Pride and Prejudice (with Keira)
As others have stated, the villain is Cassandra Nova (which, seriously missed opportunity in giving her that name and not making her a raving nymphomaniac). The evil alien "twin" of Charles Xavier, whom he originally killed in the womb, but she somehow comes back later because comic books mostly suck. What everyone seems to have missed, is that in this context, she killed Charles, and that fucked up the Sacred Timeline, so the "past" TVA pruned her. That's why she's in the void with the others, using Ant-Man's giant head (and presumably the rest of his body) as a base of operations. We know this is the case because Wolvie and DP are jumping into the sorcerer's portal from Ant-Man's eye socket. And when the angle flips to behind them, we see Alioth in the background coming towards them. For the dummies...that means Ant-Man's head is in the wasteland. Sure...it could be ANOTHER identical Ant-Man corpse...or it could've been pruned sometime AFTER Cassandra Nova started using it as a base...but if you think either of those are logically plausible, you're deranged. It's extremely likely that all of the wasteland scenes take place in the Void. Odds are also high that Cassie's base in Ant-Man's head still exists because she's powerful enough to keep Alioth away...but not powerful enough to get out. And that's what the TVA is now hoping to prevent. Since Loki changed the very nature of the TVA and how time works at all, she MIGHT have a way out of that place, now. So, the TVA sends two guys she can't kill. They might not be able to beat her, but since she can't kill them, all she can ever do is keep fighting them...forever. The TVA itself doesn't have anyone who can fight her, and they can't risk sending someone more powerful who might then get loose in the multiverse and wreak even more havoc. So, they hedged their bets and just sent two guys who can never die.
Yes back in late 2022 when Hugh and Ryan first announced that Hugh was returning for Wolverine they made sure to state that what they're doing is not touching what happened in Logan at all, it's completely separate. So basically yes Hugh "returned" to play Wolverine technically but just not in the way he used to be Wolverine, he's playing a completely different Wolverine from what we've know before
If you guys watch the first trailer, which is the teaser, towards the end you'll see deadpool in the ground and wolverine coming to him right. But if you noticed in the left side of the frame, you'll see a small packaging of a bottle which is the same bottle from "thr incredible hulk movie" which I'm when Stanley blood drops fell in. So we might see edward Norton hulk!!
The thing about Wolverine is that according to the prequel that Ryan Reynolds was even a star in Wolverine was well well over 40 by the time the first X-Men happens. I can't remember the movie fully but I think Wolverine is either over 100 years old or close to 100 years old. Not sure. You can correct me on that if you like. I just remember scenes where he fought in several major historical wars.
That's the beauty of bringing the TVA into the mix. Disney can basically take any part of the previous films and remake it the way they want it. Just call it an alternate timeline and prune it. Pretty genius, actually.
This movie is either gonna be the final nail in the MCU's coffin, or the sign of a strong comeback. I mean, it has the potential to be one of the greatest comic book movies of all time.

Guys, you definitely have to watch X-men '97, so far it's one of the best animated series I've ever seen.

Wolverine was born in 1832 in Canada. We see his mutant abilities activate after he witnessed his father's death in 1845 in the 2009, Wolverine Origins movie. The opening sequence that follows shows Wolverine and his half-brother Sabretooth fighting side-by-side in the American Civil War, WWI, WWII, and the Vietnam War; that alone shows the passage of 114 years!
I don't know what year this movie is supposed to take place in but the prime timeline in the MCU is around 2026. If this movie takes place in 2026, Wolverine would be 194 years old in this movie!

This being the MCU and a Multiverse story, Cassandra Nova will probably end up being a variant of Charles, in the same way, Gwen Stacy is a Spider-Man variant and Sylvie is a variant of Loki. Charles could take over the world if he wanted to, but that's not his MO. His evil twin however, well, let's just say she's one crazy @$$ B!+

I met Hugh Jackman right before he started filming this. He was big in person but nowhere near as big as in this trailer. He either bulked WAY up after I met him or it's Hollywood magic. It was awesome meeting him

As others have stated, the villain is Cassandra Nova (which, seriously missed opportunity in giving her that name and not making her a raving nymphomaniac). The evil alien "twin" of Charles Xavier, whom he originally killed in the womb, but she somehow comes back later because comic books mostly suck.
What everyone seems to have missed, is that in this context, she killed Charles, and that fucked up the Sacred Timeline, so the "past" TVA pruned her. That's why she's in the void with the others, using Ant-Man's giant head (and presumably the rest of his body) as a base of operations.
We know this is the case because Wolvie and DP are jumping into the sorcerer's portal from Ant-Man's eye socket. And when the angle flips to behind them, we see Alioth in the background coming towards them. For the dummies...that means Ant-Man's head is in the wasteland. Sure...it could be ANOTHER identical Ant-Man corpse...or it could've been pruned sometime AFTER Cassandra Nova started using it as a base...but if you think either of those are logically plausible, you're deranged.
It's extremely likely that all of the wasteland scenes take place in the Void. Odds are also high that Cassie's base in Ant-Man's head still exists because she's powerful enough to keep Alioth away...but not powerful enough to get out. And that's what the TVA is now hoping to prevent.
Since Loki changed the very nature of the TVA and how time works at all, she MIGHT have a way out of that place, now. So, the TVA sends two guys she can't kill. They might not be able to beat her, but since she can't kill them, all she can ever do is keep fighting them...forever. The TVA itself doesn't have anyone who can fight her, and they can't risk sending someone more powerful who might then get loose in the multiverse and wreak even more havoc. So, they hedged their bets and just sent two guys who can never die.
You guys should rent out a theater and do the reaction from there and just delay putting it on UA-cam until it's released on streaming. 👍
this wolverine is either the one that got possessed by mysterio to kill the xmen or its the one who failed his mission in Days Of Future Past

Yes back in late 2022 when Hugh and Ryan first announced that Hugh was returning for Wolverine they made sure to state that what they're doing is not touching what happened in Logan at all, it's completely separate. So basically yes Hugh "returned" to play Wolverine technically but just not in the way he used to be Wolverine, he's playing a completely different Wolverine from what we've know before
If you guys watch the first trailer, which is the teaser, towards the end you'll see deadpool in the ground and wolverine coming to him right. But if you noticed in the left side of the frame, you'll see a small packaging of a bottle which is the same bottle from "thr incredible hulk movie" which I'm when Stanley blood drops fell in. So we might see edward Norton hulk!!

The thing about Wolverine is that according to the prequel that Ryan Reynolds was even a star in Wolverine was well well over 40 by the time the first X-Men happens.
I can't remember the movie fully but I think Wolverine is either over 100 years old or close to 100 years old. Not sure. You can correct me on that if you like. I just remember scenes where he fought in several major historical wars.

That's the beauty of bringing the TVA into the mix. Disney can basically take any part of the previous films and remake it the way they want it. Just call it an alternate timeline and prune it. Pretty genius, actually.

Charles doesn’t give him a suit in that movie. Mariko gives him one in a deleted scene but it’s the brown/tan one.
This movie is either gonna be the final nail in the MCU's coffin, or the sign of a strong comeback. I mean, it has the potential to be one of the greatest comic book movies of all time.
