Best damn talk box solo ever imo. Just perfect for this song. Not flashy or anything, just spot on what the tune needed at that moment.
I can't undertand why I love so much tool and especially Jambi. Sometimes I think is stupid, but tool give me power a reliability every step in my stupid life.

I want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for recording a new album! Some of the noisy & ungrateful dregs who call themselves "fans" have been giving u guys a lot of crap for taking time to perfect your craft... as if new music were owed to them somehow. In this world of immediate gratification and social media ego masturbation, this humble fan just wants to thank you. I've been a fan since I first heard Sober in 1995 and have nothing but gratitude for what you guys do. You've been heckled, misquoted by the media and dragged through court but STILL found time away from your busy lives to tour, write & record AWESOME music for us. I don't care if it takes until 2030. I know the moment I hear it, I will enjoy it.

So.... I mean “Tool new album 2012” videos seemed like it took forever but I’m at least it’s coming.. ‘13.... ‘15?!! Umm we’re less than a month away from 2018... I’m starting to think there isnt really an album at all... listening to them talk about it in interviews with that mindset seems like they’re just trolling us along because they can..

Easily the best live performance of Adam’s solo I’ve yet seen! That guitar SCREAMING!
You don't need to churn out a new album every year when your live shows are this good and the songs feel timeless.
Just makes the wait worthwhile, as keen as I am, as much as I want, there is a level of content balanced with what I have and thoroughly enjoy, and what could come. Does the wait make me appreciate what I have more?
I've seen them live three times and feel lucky to have seen them. I'm thankful for what I have and for what I have experienced.

Aaaa, when was that ?? You mean when he bent down or when he bobbed 3 times ?? Whew, i'm worn out. Adam is an amazing guitar player...but on stage, he looks bored and almost like he doesnt want to do this at all. This is supposed to be a live performance and he looks un-moved by his own music.

I haven't even heard of Tool up until last year, when I was working on a project for my Graphic Design class. We had to pick two bands and remake the album covers with a different genre of music. Then come to find out Adam Jones has a Graphic Design degree, like what I was already planning towards. I just so happen to have started seriously considering music as a career at that time, as well. Irony, I claim.

I had the honor of attending Monster Mash AZ 2015, I cried like a child when they opened with No Quarter and sang my heart out with Parabol/Parabola (it holds so much meaning ,to me, and I'd never seen them perform it)!!! Being the long time Tool fan that I am, I wouldn't say Maynard sounds bad, but I'd say he definitely sounds kinda bored. Maybe he feels more attached to his other music projects now. Who knows.

how exactly are IEM mixes acquired? It sounds like it'd be kinda hard to get a hold of
joe namredla depends on the situation, but many iems are Bluetooth or some form of radio. Both types of signal can be intercepted since they are broadcast to the iems from the soundboard

Maynard does not like being in the spotlight. He has said that he is not the main focus of Tool and that he is only 1/4 of what is going on. To him, he is just another instrument and is just as important as the rest of the elements. Not only that, he has also said that the music should always come first and not the lyrics. I agree with him completely. So I have always been ok with him being off to the side and in the shadows.
i agree with all of that being a man of the guitar,bass, and piano, then singer, however people pay good money to see their favorite band including all of the members, you can use his logic against him, you literally cant see him at least that well...putting the singer in the spotlight all the time is not good but just completely taking him out is just dumb, hes an instrument like everyone else so why would you not be with the rest of the instruments?
That's fair enough. I have only been ok with it when it comes to Maynard, at least so far. Plus, Maynard is kind of a dick, so him being in the back is just fine for me.

Mourokiin you've obviously never seen tool live before either. it's not about the band members. they want you to feel the whole show. You don't see all of them all the time. you can see them at times. that is when they want you to see them. I've seen them 8 times and I've never been disappointed with them. They're the best live show you will ever see. go see them before you start judging their shows because their singer isn't at the front of the stage. there's also a sound engineering reason why he's in the back. it prevents any type of bleed of the other instruments into his vocal mic which makes it easier on the sound engineer that is mixing the live Sound. so that you as the fan that paid good money to see the show can also have a great sounding show. Cause isn't it about the music? that's why you come to the show in the first place.

I have no idea brother. They probably intercepted the radio signal from the stage, thats the only possible way. There are devices that are made just for that.
Inner Ear Monitor. It is a wireless feed for the artists, and as such subject to being hacked into. Also there is often an accessibility (hearing aid) wireless device available at most venues for concert goers, but quality on this often sucks.

They don't tour all that much. Also, there have been lawsuits and other factors which have slowed the progress on a new album. There should be a new album within the next year given their recent comments
