I loved their early material, I've loved their new material.... And while I didn't like the in between material without head, I respect that Davis wanted to get experimental....I feel like they had to, in my opinion, devolve to get to where they are today.... They've brought back some of the older style, while tastefully mixing in some of those experimental influences and turned it into an evolution of the band
Shut up, their albums without him were literally awsome, you have no reason to even think this, untitled was awsome, see you on the other side was awsome, ect
@@malachiwilt3891 no they weren't🤣🤣🤣. They had some decent songs but the writing was lackluster and inconsistent. Continual one string note guitar playing in 90% of the songs, overproduction on much of it, and the bass so high in the mix, many of the songs guitar was drowned out horribly... In comparison, heads solo material showed the style of guitar missing and showed him to be a superior writer to munky, no offense as I love both. I'm not saying it was all bad, but it was extremely inferior to anything they did with head

Korn is on a deep philosophical and psychological journey that no other Band has ever gone. A journey to a spiritual level between Major and minor, between time and space, between good and evil. To challenge your deepest feelings and master them and not let them master you. To not be afraid of the truth and run but to look at the truth straight in its eyes! The KORN Philosophy! The Korn Psychology! The Korn healing and growing to a spiritual consciousness of becoming One.

This song really spoke to me deeply, because my first pet cat Crystal (who didn’t hurt anybody and was extremely affectionate to me and all of my family) passed away at 2 years old on the 29th of last month. I was feeling such intense anger and I’m still hurting, because she never done bad to anybody, and yet there’s people out in the world who are the worst people on the planet that get to live to 80 and beyond. I wanted to punch a wall that day. I was literally seeing red in my eyes. I still remain very disconnected from the world, because of how deep my hatred for humanity has become, because of how disgusting society is right now. Korn, on the other hand, has changed my life and helped me through very dark times. But, this song is very much one of their best. Some parts reminded me of their classic albums, while some parts reminded me of Rage Against The Machine and maybe a little Slipknot. I needed this song more than ever and it’s helped me more than anybody will ever know. Pop music may be my comfort zone, but my God, I’m so proud to be a metalhead on the side. Love you, Jonathan Davis. I love you and miss you, Crystal. You never deserved this. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Korn = powerful sound -Alex with the hot takes, lol But for real, I didn't know the song had dropped was great listening with you for the first time, thanks for putting a smile on my face as I'm winding down for bed!
Bro... This song triggered something in my head.... I've been trying to rewrite a story I was writing when my computer crashed and I lost all my files. Got a real jolt of inspiration... Now I have more motivation.
Many people forget or don't know that Jonathan Davis wife dies a couple years ago and he says he still feel pain from that. He does write most of the music so his pain translates to the songs. The group says it's clean from drugs and alcohol for the most part.
Start The Healing, you may not know this but Jonathan Davis's wife Devon passed away quite recently. So KoRn is really leading on all that pain from JD's loss. A damn great song!
Love you, Alex. I am a long time Korn fan who happened to hear this for the first time with this video. This one, I really relate to, I'm glad you gave it a listen.
I heard this on my way home for a visit two years in the making and I was headbanging in the airport to this! I listened to a few times in a row and it is amazing!!
It's hard to decide between Korn or Slipknot. I think in the case of the Iowa guys with The Chapeltown Rag they're kind of going back to the AHIG era in a way. On the other hand, Korn has a different sound, it's like a darker atmosphere, as if they created a dark alien world, do you understand me? I have to say that I really liked the chorus of the new Slipknot single, plus I also enjoyed some of the new Stillsucks songs by Limp Bizkit.. In the end I think it's a great time for this much loved genre.. And Yeah!.. We don't know if we are in 2001 or 2021. LOL!
Thematically, I think this song can be seen As a conclusion to The Nothing. That album was very much about Johnathan Davis working through his grief after the loss of his wife. The final song of that album was "Surrender to failure" and you can see that as the final stage of grief. Acceptance. He accepted that he failed her in some way. To me, this song is very much about him being at the point where he's ready to/wants to start healing, looking back at and examining the situation ("What could I do?") and wanting to heal, but at the same time, this grief he experienced was extreme and isn't something he can just wake up one day and decide he's over. ("But there's always something fighting its way back in . But there's always something pushing me to give in") The pain of the loss of his wife will always be there in some form. An emotional scar. It might fade a bit over time, but it'll always be there.
Since I saw them open for Megadeath at the Warfield ya…. My friend and I looked at each other like WTF is this??? then broke our necks head banging 😂 hooked ever since
Korn is probably my favourite band of all time, but I'm a still a MASSIVE Slipknot fan, easily up at the top. John and Corey are basically brothers, they have massive respect for each other, the bands have worked together, they're very close. It's like having children and choosing your best child.... They're all lovely. lol
I've warmed to Slipknot over the years but KORN has been a favorite for so long that they are like a super close childhood friend. Every time I see or hear anything from them, all of these memories come flooding back. Such great experiences every time I listen to this band.
Slipknot is what lead me into the slippery slope from rock to metal. I started off with Nickelback, Three Days Grace, and Avenged Sevenfold with hints of Seether (my friend introduced me to Seether and my brother-in-law to the rest). After a while, my brother-in-law told me about Breaking Benjamin, but I didn't listen to them. I heard Breaking Benjamin through the radio and fell in love just by the ending (the solo part to the outro) of The Diary of Jane and they're my #1 band at this point (they still are). After a while, my friend introduced me to a Korn song called Coming Undone and I loved it. I don't know how, but I fell into Freak on a Leash as well. A few months after this, I found Slipknot. I fell in love from Vermillion's Top 10 Slipknot Riffs video and decided to listen to The Blister Exists, eventually moving to The Devil In I and then other songs. A friend of mine named Colby made me listen to Good God by Korn, which I loved and still do. 2019 was my Slipknot year, 2020 to now has been my Korn years. I prefer Korn over Slipknot, just because there's more variety and I feel like Korn is more relatable than Slipknot in some aspects (even if it's just about Jonathan dealing with depression and going through a lot). I know the story was unneeded, but I figured I'd share it. I might edit this and tell more of my story later.
The last album was mostly about Johnathan Davis' wife passing away. He had some really sad dark emotional songs on that album. I feel that this song is him attempting to start healing and trying not to slip back into all the sadness.
I grew up with both!! As a Nu Metal kid in the mid late 90s-early mid 2000's I loved all these bands but KoRn was my first band getting into the Nu Metal scene with Slipknot close by, KoRn got me threw alot in my teen years, they were my go to band, they've helped me with depression, suicide, Bullying in school as did alot of other bands in the genre but KoRn was there for me and still are🤘😁🎸

Korn 100%! You should check out their cover of “would” by Alice In Chains.
Wait, what?! Okay, I'm gonna go check it out. Hopefully Alex will too.
It's a great cover.
Amazing
brooo i wish they would’ve put that song in the album
@Christopher Bingham Jonathan wasn’t trying to sound like Layne. Nobody can sound like Layne. They covered the song FOR Layne and did an awesome job!
Korn is on a whole level of there own, every new album is always just song after song that instantly goes in the playlist. Korn will always be one of my favorite bands. Love your videos Alex
IMO I think KoRn is one of the most unique bands of any genre of all time. They just F-cking rock man !!¡
I loved their early material, I've loved their new material....
KoRn hands down! They have been my all time favorite band since I was introduced to them in 1998!
Korn is one of my top two bands, great song, can't wait to hear the album. I could see it as Johnathan Davis is starting the healing after his ex-wife died a few years ago.
Dope ass reaction homie as always. Been a massive korn fan since 1994. I will always love them until my casket drops and passed it. Make sure to tell your family you love them every chance you get.
Korn has been my all time favorite for many many years and I love they keep bringing that fire! Great reaction!! As for other bands to react to....please do some ORBIT CULTURE!! I promise you that you will not be disappointed!! They are incredible! And I'll take Korn over Slipknot all day long. Keep up the good work man!
I second that..Orbit Culture is amazing!!
Still my favourite band of all times, every song is a damn banger
8:43 Korn for sure, they are more creative and in my opinion they always sound so refreshing. I'm a little biased because they got me into music in general but, Korn and Slipknot are my 2 favorite bands of all time. Love them both. But I pick Korn
I was blown away by this single. I don't even know. Still processing how a nu metal band from 90's - 2000's can put out something like this in 2021. I cannot wait to hear the rest of the album, Holy shit dude
Korn brought me to Metal when i was 15.
Funny story, I started listening to Korn and 2 weeks later they dropped their new single Twisted Transistor.
I knew all the lyrics by heart from their first five records.
I've lost track after their untitled album, but they'll always be a huge part of me and the path i took. I'll eventualy get a Korn inspired tattoo.
Korn will always have a special place in my heart. Their songs have helped me get through my last year of high school especially. It's awesome, I love them so freaking much.
So now I have this song on repeat 😅💀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love KoRn! Those riffs at the end part are so sick!
yeah i love that too
Korn never disappoints. Been my favourite band since 1998.
I was never really much into Slipknot so for me it's definitely Korn. They touch so much deeper contents in their songs (at least I think so)

Lordi ... nah
Been listening to KoRn since follow the leader and I have to say their last 3-4 albums remind me of being a teenager again.. love this sound!!
As for the Korn vs Slipknot...they're both great at what they do! I don't think it should be even remotely a competition, but rather two sides to a fantastic fucking musical coin!
I listened to this song six times, after finding it. This is the best KoRn song I've heard in a long time. It slaps, the lyrics are fantastic and the video is awesome.
Another enthusiastic Korn reaction. Love it Alex. To answer the question,Korn.
Top extreme korn fan here and Wow!!!! Your reaction is the business, you're so in depth and the feelings you feel listen from this... Times it by 100000000. Not going in depth but, only korn helped me. Take care.
Alex, you just got it!!!!!! Thanks for your onest words at the end!
Korn 2021 "Deep, epic, dark, heavy"
Slipknot 2021 "Dabarardk Aaa Fuck Fuck *BONK* *BONK* *BONK* "
KoRn is my number one favorite band of all time since 97-98ish. They are like Ozzy 2.0, never gonna stop!!
I remember the premier was at 12 pm in my country and yep I broke the volume button because it was a new Korn song and the message was so powerful specially the chorus because we know many fans and many people suffer or lost someone for the covid or they are fighting against something ..but is time to start the healing and enjoy new horizons....😊....by the way new sub here🤘
Arch Enemy released a new song like a week or two ago, their first in 4 years and it's a banger!!! Arch Enemy - Deciever Deciever
Its amazing to watch where Korn has come from to where they are now .. most of the band members are now hardcore Christians which is awesome.. and yeah its always a good day to hear a new Korn track.
Fun fact, korn actually came from my home town. They used to play at this place called Jerry’s Pizza before they got big, I saw them a couple of times back then.
They have changed. As do all artists as time goes on.
I'm not ever doubting he hasn't had slip ups or bad moments. More so recently. Jd is forever my hero for going through his shit completely sober and fighting his demons like a warrior. He uses music as his weapon and its fucking beautiful
It feels like a mix between untouchbles and take a look in the mirror
I'm loving this song, it gets better each time I listen!
This is a banger!🤟
Korn is on a deep philosophical and psychological journey that no other Band has ever gone. A journey to a spiritual level between Major and minor, between time and space, between good and evil. To challenge your deepest feelings and master them and not let them master you. To not be afraid of the truth and run but to look at the truth straight in its eyes! The KORN Philosophy! The Korn Psychology! The Korn healing and growing to a spiritual consciousness of becoming One.
Lmfao! I've seen some fanboying before but holy hell you're on a whole other planet with it. It's a generic radio single, about it bruh.
@@misanthrope5380 your eyes are blind to see the depths of your own psyche. You hide from the truth of knowing yourself! Join us and we can help you "Start your healing." All you have to do is say "I believe in Korn, Korn does exist" and you will find the inner Korn within you brother.
That's a rough choice but I've got to say Korn.... Hands down
This song really spoke to me deeply, because my first pet cat Crystal (who didn’t hurt anybody and was extremely affectionate to me and all of my family) passed away at 2 years old on the 29th of last month.
Korn has always been consistent. With their root sounds and some experiment. Love them. Same level like Sevendust, Slipknot, Breaking Benjamin.
korn for the emotion, slipknot for the anger
My god still such a amazing band. Think back to how long they been dropping bangers for us
Korn = powerful sound
-Alex with the hot takes, lol
But for real, I didn't know the song had dropped was great listening with you for the first time, thanks for putting a smile on my face as I'm winding down for bed!
Korn fan from DAY 1. Legit teared up that you understood the message and enjoyed this as much as me. Amazing
Korn and Slipknot- especially “A different World” 😍
I was so excited but I had to wait to watch with you!!!
You best believe I was up at midnight listening o the premier
Start The Healing, you may not know this but Jonathan Davis's wife Devon passed away quite recently. So KoRn is really leading on all that pain from JD's loss. A damn great song!
Love you, Alex. I am a long time Korn fan who happened to hear this for the first time with this video. This one, I really relate to, I'm glad you gave it a listen.
Such a massive, heavy sound !!
Bro.... Whitechapel just dropped a new album that's what seems to be completion of their massive evolution
I heard this on my way home for a visit two years in the making and I was headbanging in the airport to this! I listened to a few times in a row and it is amazing!!
KORN are still the best by far in my eyes..great 🎵 🎶 🎵 🎶
It's hard to decide between Korn or Slipknot.
LOL!
But one thing we know for sure: nu-metal is alive and in full force.
@@diego_meira así es amigo!
@@diego_meira Nu Metal 1994 - Forever!
("But there's always something fighting its way back in
. But there's always something pushing me to give in") The pain of the loss of his wife will always be there in some form. An emotional scar. It might fade a bit over time, but it'll always be there.
Now we just need some new music from Mudvayne to keep the Nu-metal bands from my teenage years all kicking ass again.
I like both of them, they had helped me in different phases of my life! Korn and slipknot rocks!
hell yeah, just missed a whole lot of videos, clicked this and BOOM I am BACK ... just love it. Kepp shit going.
greetings from germany
KoRn all the way! I love SlipKnoT too but KoRn is and will be #1 in my book.
Amazing this band has had it so rough an yet they never fail!! Bloody geniuses can't choose between Jonathan or Corey sorry both are equally legends!!
Korn 🤘🏼 . Awesome video. Thank u . ❤️
The last album was mostly about Johnathan Davis' wife passing away. He had some really sad dark emotional songs on that album. I feel that this song is him attempting to start healing and trying not to slip back into all the sadness.
This song is just beautiful
Dream state- twenty letters

@@Heartbreakqueen_90 would of loved to see them live.
Fav Korn song by far yet. This is amazing. Very balady.
Congrates on the wedding. Got one for you. You may have already reacted can't remember. Straight Line Stitch: Black Veil
I grew up with both!! As a Nu Metal kid in the mid late 90s-early mid 2000's I loved all these bands but KoRn was my first band getting into the Nu Metal scene with Slipknot close by, KoRn got me threw alot in my teen years, they were my go to band, they've helped me with depression, suicide, Bullying in school as did alot of other bands in the genre but KoRn was there for me and still are🤘😁🎸
Dude honestly, a really fun and underrated KoRn song is B.B.K.. You should definitely react to that one! Or if you want a good unreleased song, check out Sean Olsen.
Fo sho and as always... music helps get me to tomorrow. Another sunny day 😃🤘
Korn has always put out music like this young one.
Korn is keeping it alive man! Much love, mad respect!
PLEASE do Korn's cover of AiC
"Would".
Yes!!! More KoRn gotta love it...can't wait for the new album drop, one to add to my collection,I want to give Jhonathan a huge hug, love that man
This is a follow up to the last album. It was recorded after his ex died from an o.d ..now he starts the healing after handling his feelings...
