I was told the "grabbed my shovel" and so on were taken from an episode of COPS, they were called out to a domestic dispute and things got... _stupid_ ... Love Static X, RIP Wayne. Check out some Primus. You'll love that, you slap happy lil millennial. 🤣👍
RIP Wayne. Such a big hearted dude and a powerful front man.
He was indeed. Like when Billy Corgan was one of the guitarists in Static-X and he had the opportunity to work on starting his own band but didn't want to leave Wayne high and dry but Wayne told him to go ahead and encouraged Billy to follow his hart and achieve his dreams and (as we all know) Billy went on to form Smashing Pumpkins. There are many other stories elaborating on how awesome of a dude he was. R.I.P. the man of static.
I grew up listening to static X, and I'll never forget the time I saw them live on stage, RIP Wayne static you will be missed but never forgotten
@@TSRCardMasterFan I saw them right when Machine came out, and I had worn my WDT cd out, but they absolutely blew me away. They were unreal live.
@@AquaShibby3000 Good times!!!
RIP Wayne and Tera. It's like some Romeo and Juliet shit. I cried.
When this album came out, there was nothing else out like it. Created their own genre even.
@Celestia Quixs Fuckin' A!!!
They really did, it's almost like industrial metal but very defined as such. Wayne was also another one of those frontman that had an incredible voice that really fit their style of music perfectly. May he rock in peace.
There's still nothing that sounds like WDT, not even the other Static-x albums. It's so unique. Wayne's solo album, Pighammer, is pretty close, though. (Which figures because WDT is basically a solo album.)
@@AquaShibby3000 Any competent musician (or group) will never put out repetitious material, there's no point to it. Like Rush, commonly known as a thinking man's band, never put out the same thing twice. Neil has said in interviews that quality musicians will always strive to achieve something new, something better than before. If that didn't come out as expected the effort was worth it because they tried something and it didn't work that time, but it may work another time with other musical ideas.
@@joconnell8145 right, but it’s still insane when you see something period-correct and extreme like this that’s never had anything come close to sounding like it. Sure there’s other industrial metal but there’s nothing like this out there.
The whole debut album Wisconsin Death Trip is a must now
Machine too!!
Agreed, I bought Wisconsin Death Trip when it came out, and I wore it out lol
It goes so hard
Living in Wisconsin, this is our official album.
Also project regeneration vol 1 with songs that weren't released sung by Wayne I play it all the time sooo good
Wayne was unique even among the ridiculous. He was one of the people who made me realize that being unique is more than just the way you physically present yourself, you need to express yourself as well.
RIP Wayne Static. You will be missed.
100% agree Wayne static will be very missed very unique front man they'll never be one like him again
I've seen static x in concert. I can say when I had seen the silhouette of his hair entering backstage. I immediately got chills and was totally siked. Truly an experience I wont ever forget.
Aww man I would’ve loved to see that.
You are one lucky somb!tch !!!!!
🤘🤘
Exactly! Saw them back in the early 00's in Helsinki. I was in the front row for the whole set.
@@ArcticonComp awesome man 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
the spot lights behind Wayne and his hair moving in bazaar motions is unforgettable
I love Static!!!! I run at least 9 miles every other day and Static is the only thing playing in my ear. The cadence is perfect for my running speed and breathing. RIP Wayne!!!!
Same. Drives me past when i would normally give up. NWO by ministry and Snap your fingers snap your neck by Prong are in my playlist as well by Static dominates for sure
That’s actually a really good idea. I use something similar for my yoga routine, but with a playlist called “Angry Yoga” that is less “put you to sleep” & more “pay attention to how you breathe”.
I used to listen to them while bicycling. Worked well.
Thank you for giving me the idea. I never though about doing that
Listen to them at work to work faster. I am a janitor 😌✊🏻
Static-X is an instant click
The recording of a woman is a legit real life audio where a woman talks about a murder. Very popular thing in industrial and post-industrial is to use samples of movie quotes or real life records.
P.S. it appears to be that this particular record is from the movie made in the late '80s. Still the point is that industrial music uses different kinds of samples, including range of quotes from all kinds of media.
Like in White Zombie's Astrocreep 2000. They took samples from Linda Kasabien one of the Manson girls' interview.
And I’m pretty sure Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails has that too
Skinless’s album Foreshadowing Our Demise does that with almost every song on the album and i honestly think it made the songs sound more badass. Not sure where the clips are from that they used but I’d like to find out.
Isn’t it from a sorority babes movie?
I'd heard it was clip taken from the show COPS, back in the 90's. No murders, just a pissed of hubby with a shovel wound to the head, cops show up and he's on the floor, hogtied and cursing up a storm. Kinda funny.
Static-X frequently samples audio from old campy movies. The shovel audio is from Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. Other songs have audio from total recall, running man and more.
100% true
The shovel sample is from a news broadcast according to Wayne. According to him, the audio was from a woman who stopped a break-in at her neighbour's house and was recalling what happened to reporters
Static-X was a great band!
Still is! I have tickets to see them in March. Edsel Dope puts on a zombie Wayne mask and sings for them now.
@@ATrainHC idk. Id have to watch him sing. They changed when Wayne passed.
@@BMWaM3 there is a video of them playing Wisconsin Death Trip, the full album, in Moscow with Zero as the front man. They killed it.
@@BMWaM3 they were already broken up when Wayne passed. Edsel Dope is doing such a great job since they got back together and one could argue their 2021 album was better than the last album or two they had put out when Wayne was alive. A lot of that album though was also vocals of Wayne's that never saw the light day until now. A lot of it were songs from around 2005 that he wasn't happy with at the time and never finished as a result but the band was able to work with what was there and add some extra awesomeness to those tracks.
EVIL DISCO WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!
Fuck yes. As soon as I saw Static X and especially I'm With Stupid I clicked.
ITS GOIN DOWN- X-Ecutioners Feat. Mike Shinoda (LP) & Wayne Static (Static x)
Static X love dump and bled for days are also worth a reaction
Chocolate cake and roses? Keep disco EVIL!!
I love wanyes aggressive voice. So different from any other band. Wisconsin death trip and the machine are amazing albums
Static X makes some bangers, i wouldnt dwell too much in the lyrics.
The Only, Push it, and Destroyer are some other songs by Static X to check out or anything from Wisconsin Death Trip!
Static X always played at the top of their. Like a top tier nu school tattoo artist, anyone can break the rules and be bad or whatever, but the best artist have an in-depth understanding of the rules so they know how to break em just right.
Remember when I was a teen. We use to go to a club called The Mission. All they done was play Rock and Metal. It was amazing. Cranked out bands like Lacuna Coil, Coal Chamber and all that. It was f**king amazing! WAYNE STATIC IS A LEGEND!
Mission??? In Edinburgh? 😂😂😂 If so hiya Mish crew
@@afindlay2763 yeah man. Place was awesome!!!! Small world dude!
Back when rock clubs were rock clubs! Do any still exist? The cathouse in Glasgow is like a disney club now playing disney remixes...
@@Bawitdabadabangdadang exactly. It was amazing man. Proper mosh pits and heavy metal. It was fucking awesome! Never got the chance to check many of them out but I bet it was kick ass. Highlight of my teens were going to the mission on the weekend. Unfortunately people started to ruin it coming round and starting fights. Not want to label it or anything but it was chavs. If you wore baggies, chains and listened to metal, you know what i mean.
Bled for days is the first song I listened to by them and I was blown away! As kids we listened to them, had wild parties, right after the war, man! Oh those days, it was crazy! Respect from Serbia 🤘😆
Always loved me some Static X🤘
🤘RIP Wayne 🤘
🤘❤🇨🇦
Thus the birth of evil disco
Fucking Static-X!!!
Miss Wayne so much. Love Static-X!
Saw Wayne Static in concert and he became my favorite Metal singer just because of his on stage presence. He was amazing. RIP
One of the few celebrity deaths that made me cry.
I never listened to Static-X for the lyrics, just the delivery
No lie!! When Push It came out, I was hooked!!
When the album came out, the record store guy suggested it to me it was only $10 for the CD. I never heard of them before but I just got paid so I got it along with Six Feet Under first album. I was hooked!
This is my favorite static x song. RIP Wayne Static.
Nice profile pic.
And this is my favorite as well.
So y’all like Self Titled huh?
@@tose5566 lmao
RIP Wayne! Still a legend!
pausing the video, just gonna say i really hope you like this static x is a band i have seen a dozen times and loved them when they were around
ahh ♡ my favorite band in the whole world !
May the amazing Wayne rest easy ♥︎
Another good Static-X track is This Is Not.
I HATE THIS!!!!
So abstract but yet so deliciously rocking 🔥
The woman’s voice is a sample of her talking about a murder committed, that’s just adding to the song
Staic x is always good. With the new singer(from DOPE), You should check DOPE too
This is one of the greatest albums of the '90s hands down Wisconsin death trip was a staple in my CD player for months and months and months, GREATNESS !!!!!
Rest in peace Brother Static 🤘🤘
Dude you have to do black and white by static x, badass song
Best song off Machine.
We made you do a Raid sponsorship? In all seriousness, Static-X are one of my all-time favourite bands. Glad there's more of them here.
Been through alot in 2021 brother. Your videos, humor, and overall mindset makes life a Lil better. So thank you, hope you have a great new year.
What up Alex I hope you get over this covid thing very quickly so happy you every visiting one of my favorite band Static-X Ripta swing static I didn't want you know Tony and all the other members to you know reform Static-X if you will because it just wouldn't make any sense but the guy called zero definitely definitely plays the part pretty well so thank you again for reacting to this band and yeah looking forward to it
Punctuation, learn it, live it use it!! And his name is Xero...Static-X...Xero, get it? Come back when you can make some sense LOL...Keep disco EVIL!!!
That evil disco though
The woman saying "I grabbed my shovel" was recorded on a news interview Wayne saw on TV about a woman who attacked and tied up a burglar. Been asking you to do this song for years, glad you finally have. This is the video that made me love the band back in 1999, can't stand what they've become since Wayne died. Tony blatantly milking the IP now Static himself is gone. RIP Wayne
This whole album was my jam in 1999. Saw them open for Megadeth in St. Paul in 2000 and it changed me.
YEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R I P Wayne!!! Static-X kicks ass, there are sooo many great songs to react to! KEEP DISCO EVIL!!!!!!!
Just go with it. I've been listening to Static-X on and off for the past 20+ years. I have no idea what some of the lyrics mean... I just like the band.
Keep disco evil!!!!!
I could not get enough of this album when it came out. Trance is the motion, Wisconsin Death Trip, Push It and Love Dump were my favs from the album. But all the others like Sweat of the Bud, Fix, Stem and I'm with Stupid are amazing too. If you haven't listened to this entire album, you need too. It's a journey.
Bled for days is also great on that album
@@yourmainmanstan6751 Yeah that one is amazing also. The first time my wife heard it, she called it the period song lol
@@christophertemple8120 bled For DayyyAyyas!!.😂
“It’s got a lot of beef jerky, Slim Jim, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage..!”
Best description of Static-X I have EVER. HEARD!
You should check out American Head Charge -Just so you know, amazing song and band from industrial metal
RIP Wayne Static he died back in 2014 of a drug overdose
I loved Wayne static man I really wish he didn't pass away cuz he was super talented I love this track, actually out the whole album its called Wisconsin death trip its not a bad album, the album is really solid...
Definitely talented, I loved every song they put out!
RIP Wayne. You passed 2 days before I ever got to see you live. I remember being woken up by my uncle telling me when he and I had tickets. Static-X is one of my favorite bands and I stayed up all night in pure shock. I will never forget that night. Wish I could have aeen Wayne. He was truly unique and amazing
Best freaking album from Static X. Love this song. RIP Wayne! This dude was fucking amazing. Gone too soon for sure ♥♥♥
Love me some static x. When im running on the tread they can get me to push on when i normally want to quit
Dude static x was bad ass man 5hit was nice and heavy had a rhythm good beats.
I love Static-X! It's such an awesome sound, just pure metal fun.
Alex as always another great reaction!!! Static-X is exactly what you said one of those bands that the genius of Wayne Static was the lyrics are open to interpretation. Wisconsin Death Trip has stood the test of time much like Machine as two of Static-X' best albums. And from there they continued to grow the Evil Disco genre into what it is today. In a lot of ways Static-X were ahead of their time because they were both simple and complex at the same time. At least that's my opinion
R.I.P. Wayne. Wish I would’ve seen you guys live and now you’re gone.
Was a really fun song live.
Need more Shinedown reactions please. Song is called 45
Been waiting. Wanting you to react to this
Let's go!!!!! SEPTIUM
Static X - all classics! Definitely should check out Bled For Days, Love Dump, Push It!
You should also react to The Trance Is the Motion
It is my favorite from Wisconsin Death Trip
I would love to see some more Static-X reactions on this channel, MORE EVIL DISCO!
I actually met Wayne before hearing his music. There was a big group of us out off-roading and he was out there hanging out with us, very cool guy. RIP Wayne 🤘
Static-X is so fking heavy even to this day. Nothing compares to them when blasted at full volume.
Terminal, grind 2 halt, or hypure next, please and thank you
Fun fact: Wayne painted his toe nails to match his fingernails lol.
We got in an argument over marshmallow fluff once, I was a fan he was not. I was eating fluff on crackers ended up choking a little bit and from then on anytime we hung out he'd ask if I wanted a cracker 😅 God I miss him so much. Most down to earth person I knew
About Fing time! Been asking for months! My all time favorite metal band. R.i.P. Wayne
"Space bastard" is in a few Static-X music videos if i'm not mistaken. You probably saw Space bastard in one of those.
Static-X is one of my favourite Bands. RIP Wayne!♥
The whole Wisconsin Death Trip record is a must. Saw Static X live in Dallas for their 20th anniversary and it was amazing.
May Wayne rest in peace. His death was felt throughout the metal scene. Not only did we lose him, but we lost his wife, Tera Wray.
I was so glad I got the opportunity to see Static X live back in 2007. High Energy show. No you fornicate to the track Love Dump from Wisconsin Death Trip. One of my favorite trax is Fix from this album. "Tune it in chill out drop dead n we getta fix...fix......fix...."
I want to second the people here saying you should react to the whole Wisconsin Death Trip album. It's a great experience as a whole!
My brother’s band played with Wayne Static’s last band in Yucca Valley CA before Wayne Static passed. I think he was living there which blows my mind
Yessssssssss finally
Need to see more Static X content omg I didn't know you did this. There's 2 newer songs that have Static on them postpartum, pretty good shit
Wayne has huge swag and was the man with the whole vision, guy was a genius in his own right.
It takes a very creative person to enjoy this very original creation.
Great stuff. Really diggin Terminator Oscillator lately
Love that song so much!
RIP Wayne Static!
FYI: From a horror fan I'll leave those not familiar with a fun fact: The sound clip at the end of the song is Linnea Quigley as the punk rock rebel girl in the 80's b-horror 'Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama' replying to the nerdy kid in a scene where they are trapped inside the mall washroom...
"I was just thinking, the first time you saw me you said 'Hey, come here often?'"
"Yeah....I guess that was pretty stupid huh?"
"Yeah it was....very stupid!"
The official video for this song cuts the song up pretty bad. A lyric video would be the way to go for this one.
@Celestia Quixs You mean the whole intro isn't also messed up? lol
All hail Death Disco. Had the pleasure to see these guys so many times up till the year before Waynes Death. RIP Wayne 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Yet another soul succumbs to the Raid Shadow Legends corruption
Haha. Nice sandlot clip in the promo portion.
I respect you even more now!
RIP Wayne Static
I miss him!
Static X is amazing, always hit my nostagia when i listen to the Only
Bro you need to do all the Static-X. I love love love them.
Love this band r.i.p ❤ 💕
In the song, a woman’s voice is noticeable, saying short unclear sentences, which in context turns out to be " So I grabbed my shovel, and I beat him in the skull and took him down. Then I grabbed a rope and I hogtied him." Asked about this issue, Wayne Static claims this is based on true events. "This is real," Wayne Static says. "It was sampled off of the news. Her neighbor had left on vacation. Her and her husband, I don't know the details but somebody broke into the neighbor's house while they were on vacation. So these two went over there and literally creased the guy's skull with a shovel. This was somewhere out in the backwoods of Southern California. The lady was on the news and they were interviewing her as though she was a hero. She lived in a trailer."
Then I was doubly fortunate to see this band again about 2 months later at Ozzfest '07.
More static x
New pain
Cuts you up
My damn nation
Team hate
So
RIP WAYNE!!!
The Only

You’re welcome!!
Also, Static-X reminds me quite a bit of Powerman 5000
To this day, Static-X remain my favourite band. I saw them in 2019 when they did the WDT tour and it was such a good show, which I could have seen them when Wayne was still around.
Was going to like this video but I can't break the 666, great video! Love Static-X, definitely missing Wayne Static RIP!
Glad to have grown up with this band just wish I had the chance to see them. When Wayne passed it really hit me.
Wayne is a legend, RIP. Static-X is frigging amazing. They've been described as "Evil Disco". Basically nu-metal with a disco groove. They do it so well, it's epic. LOL.
Bought that album just because it was titled "Wisconsin Death Trip" and around that time I was driving back to Wisconsin from El PAso TX for the holidays. You know a Wisconsin Death Trip ha ha ha.
I always thought she was saying "Bright red my shovel" Didn't make sense...but then again, the song doesn't either. Love it!!!
Wayne was such an intelligent and incredible artist. But trying to figure out his lyrics is like getting the mind of someone like Hannibal lecter, a very strange and unusual mind.
RIP Wayne
