those hover tanks guarding the machine city are still some of the hardest mech designs i've ever seen. the Matrix universe was beautiful and horrific. i miss those films.
If you look at the phases of how empires rise and fall it only makes the machines look even more dangerous, after 600 years of being the undisputed rulers they still have all this hardware just for defense.

It makes you think that these tanks hasn't seen action ever since the great war with the humans, and it's the first time in hundreds of years when they get to use their weapons again when Neo and Trinity come charging at them.
I thought the same thing. Yeah these machines have been dormant for so long and the machines had the foresight to keep them active and ever at the ready when need be!
Not even just good editing in terms of simultaneously showing multiple different cascading battles at once (instead of what happens in the actual movie by terrible editors) but even the tiny glimpse of the Animatrix is amazing in terms of continuity and meta-verse. I think it'd have been been if it was redone on a real life Matrix-esque screen but that cutaway is definitely superb.
The matrix wiki calls those machine defenders "the armada". Holy hell that's not even their full capability, it's probably just an afterthought they put in just in case some humans had the balls to get too close.

I 3d printed the mech suit its run by remote and a 40 gram steel disc as a flywheel to keep it balanced..it walks turns and takes aim 😉 spectrum electronics.
Gamestop used to sell Premium Matrix Figures and the APU (the human mecha) mai brother got for a Christmas pre-2010 and I got the Sentinel Absolutely want to find those and get them again. That’s sooo super cool you were able to 3D Print one and make it mobile! :S
No, it would not have helped. We can see that this ability is extremely taxing for Neo, thus he would be unable to deal with the amount of Sentinels the people of Zion were dealing with. Negotiating with the Machine God was the only hope Zion had.

they had those Gecko looking armored suit mechs in Animatrix, and the Sentinels simply entangled them and the others would cut the armor off and kill the pilot. It's fucking terrifying, I'd rather be in this APU where I can see everything happening clearly around me and no claustrophobic metal casemate that would make it my very own metal deathtrap coffin.
@@rune.theocracy The U.N, APU'S are also smaller than the Zion model. Making Zion APUs either an orginal design or a later iteration of the U.N APU, the "Heavy APU'S" if built during the Machine war were likely some of the last mechs built by humans in defense of the last bunkers and fortress.
if we were fighting sentinels i guess the military would have a use for it. but againt humans this thing is mince meat. its practically a walking excavator equipped with guns with exposed hydraulic lines. once it starts leaking hydraulic fuel its over for that thing. very impractical in my opinion even if it were to have armor for the pilot it wouldnt make a difference any type of large explosive force would kill them. Unless we talkin titan fall 2 mechs then the military would have something for it but the matrix ones are impractical in our world
I don’t care for how you cut *everything* together. It detracts from each part of the story to have pretty much every event from the second act intersect like that.
