Story:
Four tiny puppies were brought to a local PetSmart near Corona, California. The man who brought them said he found them on his property and wasn't able to catch the mom. He handed the four furry bundles inside a beer box.
Foster mom, Andrea from 2nd Chances Rescue took the scared and shaking pups home with her. The pups were fed, given a warm bed and a safe place to sleep but even with all that, something was missing.
At Andrea's home, she also rescued a sulcata tortoise named Goliath. For the most part, Goliath was alone. The other dogs and puppies that went through Andrea's home largely ignored the eighty pound, lumbering giant.
One day when Andrea came home to care for the pups, she found one of them missing. She look all over her house and backyard fearing one of them may have gotten out or lost or picked up. What she found instead were the puppies inside his hutch, snuggling with the Goliath.
Since that day, the pups and their great big friend have gone everywhere together. The pups were happier knowing they were safe with Goliath - and Goliath? Well, he came out of his shell.

PAWsitive Do you not realize that tortoises share Holes with over 140 different species of animals in that range goes from Florida to the Mojave desert all types of tortoises do it?
Casval Char what are you talking about I simply was saying it’s not a big deal they went into the torts hole. Because those holes are homes to more then just torts they are homes for anything that can live in harmony. It’s a shelter and hundreds of Species could be in one single hole
@@whitebread7926 Thats not true. Ive lived in a tortoise hole. It was just me and a tort named sparky. It was the good old days. If anything else came into the tort hole we would chase them out. Sparky used to bring psilocybin mushrooms home and we would trip balls.

Actually you may be interested to know that all tortoises are turtles but not all turtles are tortoises.
I have never seen a video where puppies loved a turtle and maybe thought of him as their parent - had to share it and watch it twice. Great video!

There are so many "experts' that insist that tortoises and other reptiles don't like this sort of thing, but some absolutely like cuddles.

So sweet!!! I have a tiny Russian tortoise who also loves snuggling. She doesn't want me to pet her; she just likes to cuddle. Tortoises can be a lot more outgoing/affectionate than people think they are ❤️

My turtle Klondike he's over 80 years old and weighs 80 90 lb he has 3 for chickens that are his best friends they love each other they hang out they're wonderful dinosaurs

It only took hundreds of millions of years, but different omnivorous dinosaur species finally learned to get along.

We have a turtle that loves any and all the attention she can get. We've had her for over 30 years and like all turtles, she is super smart. She had a special bond with my Chihuahua. They would actually play. She would get on the pups blanket and he would pull her really fast. They played that game all the time.
They were scared, they were little, they were scared

I just rescued a turtle and they are the sweetest animals. They LOVE strawberries!
Cold blooded animals are always looking for warmth, so I'll bet Goliath really liked warm little puppies snuggled against him.

I have a tortoise that big too. His name is Tank. I also have chickens and I've seen a couple of my chickens snuggle with Tank inside Tank's heated house. And the chickens love to share Tank's veggies just like those puppies did. I've never seen any of the chickens stand on top of Tank though. So neat to see different animals co-habitating so well together.
I hope, that you kept one of the puppies, because taking them all away would have left him lonesome again.

Amazing. It's interesting how different species can get along so well. I have a piglet that loves cats and dogs, rats that snuggle with my dog, etc. You never know the bonds they'll forge.
