The term ‘curiosity killed the cat’ is very false here. Cats will always check if an opportunity of some sort they know could hold potential danger before making the leap. This cat is very daring in the sense that it actually bothers to check if the water is safe to across instead of instantly assuming it’s not safe (unless it is clear to the cat that is is dangerous).

This one is actually not nearly fully grown (though still bigger than a kitten). Adults of this species weigh around 2-3 pounds, which is still a lot smaller than a house cat.
