Nightlife Vegas I remember that too. Also in return to castle Wolfenstein BJ never spoke once (apart from the ps2 version). Now he has a massive back story and a very interesting personality. Could never have imagined him becoming what he is today.
The scene where blazko meets the girl for the first time is so important. The very foundation of racism destroyed in less then a second by children who just want to play with each other. Racism isn’t a natural thing, people are taught to hate. Amazing game!!
Steven To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Also I think the nightmare of there being monsters in the basement was his manifestation of his father when he tied him down there and made him shoot their dog, including the reason why he was worried about losing his mother in his dreams.
TheAnnouncer no he came back after like the father said as soon "as you came of age you left to join the army" so after the pocket knife insident he eventually got it back and came home but Billy said screw this and want to the army when he was young then all that shit in the games happened which yes after some years he came back but for a different reason
You missed a scene. If you walk off along the trail to the left after leaving the barn, there will be a flashback scene of BJ burying his dog and his mother coming up to speak with him.
I'm glad they showed at least one flashback of his dad not being terrible. I like nuance in my characters. Also it's cool as hell that they added a flashback that related back to one of the most powerful line & scene in The Old Blood (to me) "I was a kid, we had a monster in our basement, my father said if I done wrong it'd creep out at night and come for me. I tried to do no wrong, but the monster came all the same."
The flashbacks with Billie are a good example of how racism isn't something that someone is born with. It's a form of hate that's taught, and it's sad that people still think this way even to this day...
Part of the commentary in this game, certainly. Rather trite, however. Unfortunately, I feel like that’s part of the reason this game’s so underrated. To its credit though, it DOES normalize swastikas for the player, unlike Call of Duty: WWII.

Otherwise, he could have easily ended up like his father. A bitter, and terrible human being.
I don't dont try to see him as still the good guy because he isn't selling his own wife out because what she is and because of his bullshit beliefs and bullying his son because he lost his knife because of some thuggish boys and trying to kill him in the end. This cannot be forgiven!!

And onto the next one, While cruel and cold, he had a good point about the whole "It's kill or be killed, The old and the weak are doomed.", and he was right that you have to make very hard decisions in life and the weak will be weeded out, It's cruel, but in a world like Wolfenstein, it is correct, Especially considering how his son eventually seems to agree with him, As a matter of fact, When he thinks he is going to die, His chosen last (Internal) words are "The old...and the weak... are doomed.". In short, His father was right, in a way, he just fucked up by trying to prove his point with beatings, hatred and violence.
And it wasn't just some retcon either, this theme was running through it since the first scene in TNO, when he teaches Wyatt the breathing exercise "a good team" BJ narrates "like what a father and son should be" Even in how he commands his men he is trying to be everything he didn't get growing up
Although his father was abusive and sold out his mother, I really appreciated the moment when he gave B.J. the gun to shoot the monsters dead, it kinda made him seem more like a caring father and it taught Billy a neat lesson. I still hate him, for being super abusive though.
I genuinely thought that BJ's dad was one of those rough guys who was a jerk to his family and was misguided but also had a good heart and genuinely loved his family. At the end after he collaborated with the Nazis and turned his own wife in, turns out he really is just a piece of shit.
A person can have a good heart, but still do bad things, even if they don't mean it. Whether it be through anger, alcohol, or something else, a person can try to do good, even if they don't always do it. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case with Papa Blazcowitz.
Well, now he has a grandson tough as nails,a guy so damn tough that demons looks under their bed looking for him.The simple mention of his name puts fear in their hearts, his name is..."Doomslayer". Congratulations B.J.

+rice woman Bad analogy, Hacksaw Ridge was directed by ironically one of the very few good directors left in Hollywood. Why do you think it resonated with people so much? Also the depiction of the Japanese was fair, if you remember. Remember the cliff scene?
23:16 And in that moment found out his own father sold her mom and his nigthmare was real. The "monster" was her own father...The irony...or psychic powers of a horrible premonition.
Truth be told I read that he got sick of being woken up in the middle of the night by BJ's nightmares and just did it so he could sleep. He's got a perfect no love 0 streak record. He was a con man through and through and sold out his friends for his own selfish ambitions.
The monsters in the basement part, he mentions it when he gets off the robot in Old Blood, his daddy told him if he does no wrong there wont be any monsters in the basement. Old Blood and New Colossus are able to take elements and scripts and combine them and twist them around to make it much more dramatic.
I like to believe that after Rip Blazkowics got killed, he went to hell and turned to a demon then got Rip (no pun intended) and teared by DOOM GUY! (His great-great grandson)
18:10 in this scene it's like a metaphor. When he says the monsters are coming for mama he could mean his dad. Then he says that there are no more monsters which is kinda like him saying the monster in his dad went away temporarily, since this was the only good scene. His dad says that when you do no wrong then the monsters go away. That's why it went away from his father
You can tell Rip was a major narcissist. The way he acted like everyone was out to get him and trying to rob him. Makes you wonder what his father was like to have drilled that line of thinking into his head so deeply
Is it weird that despite this being set up as an epic character arch for BJ, the character I'm more interested in is his Mother? I just find it fascinating how can someone ever fall into a marriage like this, and I really like that bit at 5:30; she KNOWS that he will hit her and probably kill her, but all that matters is protecting her son, like a true Mother
Whats funny is that people criticize the game for the fact bj remembers his racist past and he liked it compared to having nazi control but anything is better then nazi control
This is one of the best sequences in the whole game...I will give his father credit he tried to kill Williams ghosts and/or monsters head on...that one scene made me hate him less
As late as this is, there is another letter in the house that shows that Rip did sell out Zofia and several other people to the Nazi's along with how the Nazi's said with his continued loyalty, he would've gotten a seat in the government.
That scene where he just said the word of what he wanted from that soldier, and then told him to run, kinda made me smile, not because it was funny, but because Blaskowicz isn't normally that merciful to nazis.

Mr Finnish That’s all that made you tear up? The humans who were abused to, who unlike the dog, have sentience and are A PART OF YOUR OWN SPECIES, and you care more about some dumb, pathetic dog? Now gimme one realistic and logical reason why that makes sense.
Blazkowittz is like Guts(berserk) childhood, why because of he sleep with the gun and hug like a pillow and Guts something too sleeping with a big sword and hug it like a pillow. They have both dark childhoods
I can relate to bj ... I was not allowed to date my gf because of my backward racist thinking my parent had , My dad killing my dogs more than once to show me the world's a cruel place . Translation 'Im gonna shit on your happiness by killing everything you love or care about' And I was constantly surrounded by people that want to kill me or saw me as a threat when i tried to do any good for the neighborhood .
Also I just looked up how tall people were in (presumably) what is the 1920's in when Blazkowicz grew up, and I'd be taller than basically anyone in that house.
Watching the scenes where BJ and Billie where just playing like kids always makes me wonder. How could anybody find segregation right? Its just 2 kids playing together, nothing bad, nothing mean spirited, just playing like kids their age would.
it’s human nature to find things that are different scary, that’s why prejudice exists, but then we become more exposed to the different things, and it all becomes less unfamiliar and more normal
So that's why Blazkowitz is all kinds of disturbed.
He's Terror-Billy for a reason

Truth be told I read that he got sick of being woken up in the middle of the night by BJ's nightmares and just did it so he could sleep. He's got a perfect no love 0 streak record. He was a con man through and through and sold out his friends for his own selfish ambitions.
@@Ddangerdan I'm like an entirely different person now lol, I think this dude is like an evil monster now.
Joseph was lucky to meet Billie as a Kid or else he could've ended up being like his Old Man
The cutscenes on their own are some of the best I have seen in a campaign game; it really makes the game a lot more immersive.
.
The voice acting is top notch. The best that I have heard in a while.
Doomguy saying "You busted out of Hell and I'm sending you back in agony!"
I took that as foreshadowing the Nazis. The monsters came for her, but because Rip was white and sold her out, they did right by him.
24:04 I shit you not, the second he shot. I instinctivly went to grab him with my two hands like I was there.
Hold up..
FBI announcer from BO2, is that you?
(These scenes are honestly fuckin great. Acted great, shot great- nearly everything is well done.)
He was also Overlord from MW2
Pavor Nocturnus1
Oh shit!
Also Agent Gordon from Battlefield 3.
cool, kinda forgot about BF3
Holy shit
I love every single one with Billy and Billie 😍😀
You can tell Rip was a major narcissist. The way he acted like everyone was out to get him and trying to rob him. Makes you wonder what his father was like to have drilled that line of thinking into his head so deeply
ptsd flash back intensity
I've never played this game, and now I kinda want to. I did have a nightmare about that evil father last night though, namely at 6:18. x_x
Wait so did he really kill his father?
Yeah he Killed him
He also avenged his dog.
And his mom bcuz he sold her out
His dad was worse then the fuckin nazis
SAVAGE GAMING his father basically had the same beliefs as the Nazis
Anybody think Gracie was Billie
SAVAGE GAMING i was thinking the same.
Maybe she is
Well they do have similar face structure.
Yeah I had that feeling but was like Eh
I mean, the eyes...
This is sad but it's a good story 😯🐇
It's propaganda.
alucinor prapaganda is tenecly goverment stuff not jews
The best
alucinor why does everyone say it's propaganda
Trumbama Man cause wolfenstein has always been about killing naz8s2
Is it weird that despite this being set up as an epic character arch for BJ, the character I'm more interested in is his Mother? I just find it fascinating how can someone ever fall into a marriage like this, and I really like that bit at 5:30; she KNOWS that he will hit her and probably kill her, but all that matters is protecting her son, like a true Mother
Blazko’s dad is somehow the most evil villain despite being in a game filled with heartless nazi’s
0:35 those silent cutscenes of Deathshead is so mesmerizing to me, like it's my favorite flashback cuts.
I had to go hug my dog after the scene with Bessie
This game is an amazing example of being more than just a shooter, even though it's been a bit more comedical and worse in gameplay it's still amazing
What the hell, only the "weapons wheel" is problematic, the gameplay is just the typical classic FPS....
"oh no... Mother... I'm going to hell" is such an underrated line
When Bill ran away from home when he was young, it's like Bill was having trouble overcoming his inner demons.
19:08
He is sleeping with a gun pointed to his head. Not vary Smart
It make me want to pull the trigger
Whats funny is that people criticize the game for the fact bj remembers his racist past and he liked it compared to having nazi control but anything is better then nazi control
Garret Woeller Except Communist control
Unfortunately, America still has groups of both today...
21:35
When your granddad watching you play gta online bombing players with the avenger.
HAHAHAHAH
This is one of the best sequences in the whole game...I will give his father credit he tried to kill Williams ghosts and/or monsters head on...that one scene made me hate him less
His father reminded me so much of mine. I almost punched the screen when he hit Williams mother.
Wow, I’m sorry you had to go through that. I hope your doing good.
As late as this is, there is another letter in the house that shows that Rip did sell out Zofia and several other people to the Nazi's along with how the Nazi's said with his continued loyalty, he would've gotten a seat in the government.
Awwwww the tree flashback was beautiful and sad
I gotta play this game.
That scene where he just said the word of what he wanted from that soldier, and then told him to run, kinda made me smile, not because it was funny, but because Blaskowicz isn't normally that merciful to nazis.
6:18 "Yeah, my dad did wrong by me. Oh, and I think he had magnetic hands as well. I swallowed a coin that day."
Unlike everyone else talking about this game, I think the human faces look uncanny
I agree. A lot of the faces look awful.
2010's graphics.
@@Dispencerhere 4 years old
@@ArchChrono Wha i am just reminising. Well atleast you can be happy that your comment stayed a best comment for 4 years alongside the others ones. Nice👍
4:20 still cant believe this scene made it all the way past censorship 😂
18:08 the one time he was a decent father.
Set music volume to 0, play METALLICA full blast with guns blazing. Amazing experience.
Billy's father reminds me Colonel Sanders.
Or teddy rosevelt
Or carnal sanders
when blaskovich says “monsters coming to take momma” it’s a reference to the nazis later on
He killed the innocent dog? Im tearing up right now!
Mr Finnish
That’s all that made you tear up? The humans who were abused to, who unlike the dog, have sentience and are A PART OF YOUR OWN SPECIES, and you care more about some dumb, pathetic dog? Now gimme one realistic and logical reason why that makes sense.
Sale
I don’t know. I feel like the fathers hatred is way too heavy handed to not seem a little silly. Just my opinion though.
The BB gun story was actually a pretty good fatherly moment. Besides that though...
Lol billy sleeps with the gun right beside him pointed at his head 😂
His pops actually really uncomfortable to sit around.
Blazkowittz is like Guts(berserk) childhood, why because of he sleep with the gun and hug like a pillow and Guts something too sleeping with a big sword and hug it like a pillow. They have both dark childhoods
24:07 finally inner peace
Young William looks like the yodel kid
24:34 that got me... what happend to his mom 😭
She died in a extirmination camp
Someone at machine games: "This meathead protagonist is boring. Give him Ryan Gosling energy and have him speak like hes writing poetry"
"On it."
I can relate to bj ... I was not allowed to date my gf because of my backward racist thinking my parent had ,
My dad killing my dogs more than once to show me the world's a cruel place . Translation 'Im gonna shit on your happiness by killing everything you love or care about'
And I was constantly surrounded by people that want to kill me or saw me as a threat when i tried to do any good for the neighborhood .
7:37 only Undertale fan can understand why i picked this moment in the video
24:01
What we all came to see.
Also I just looked up how tall people were in (presumably) what is the 1920's in when Blazkowicz grew up, and I'd be taller than basically anyone in that house.
Generation height gap. It's strange to see.
That's where absolute certainty leads
i kinda likes his father cause one flashback billy has having nightmares of monsters in the basement and his father was kind to him that time
Great message this game haz very lovable characters and a very sad story some cutscenes are honestly heartbreaking ❤️🩹 great story!!!
when he said "MAX HASS" i cried a whole waterfall truly inspirational
That kid sounds like jimmy nutron
Same voice actor.
Just a little sodium chloride
Uhhm, it's called salt.
Brain blast!
I want to choose between the soup and the pouridge.
This game was so silly I love it
4:42 Bro did not hesitate 💀
😂
