Fun fact about Wolfgang = 2:49 in the video. In the game = Wolfenstein : Old Blood : Wolfgang was a soldier in the SS Paranormal Division under Helga von Schabbs. He appears in the first mission as a guard at Castle Wolfenstein. He later appears at Helga's party in Wulfburg, being thrown out of a room by another soldier for "using" a photo of the man's fiancée. Wolfgang appears to be drunk and weakly defends himself by saying that he found the photo in the restroom and asks "What else was I supposed to do with it?". He survives the attack of shamblers and capture of the town by the allies. Between March 1946 and 1960, Wolfgang was promoted to Oberscharführer and transferred from the Paranormal Division (which was likely disbanded after the Wulfburg incidents) to serve as a guard under Irene Engel at Camp Belica. He appears in Camp Belica with Frau Engel and Bubi, overseeing the arrival of prisoners to the gas chambers. When Bubi convinces Engel to send one of the prisoners, a disguised B.J. Blazkowicz, to the concrete mixing chambers instead, Wolfgang shoves B.J. out of the line and through a nearby door to be registered and tattoed. Interesting to see how much the voices are different from the german version. In the german version the guards speak without accent but here they have bavarian/austrian accent by diffrent actors with the same text. Bombate's german voice lines have a stereotypical afrikan accent, altough very minor. Here he speaks english with a few yiddish? words in between. I guess there is no yiddish in the german version, because of censorship (subjugated/inprisoned folk are referred to as "Abweichler"/deviants instead of jews, sinti, roma or else) and/or because the yiddish words are similar to many german words with the same meaning and wouldn't be noticed by a native german listener or only in a complete yiddish sentence. The way he speaks Bombate could be a northafrican-jew a religious group that was only recently/ a few decades ago oficially recognised by the wider jewish community. They even have stone/clay tablet copies of the 10 commandments and basket arks to house them. Historians believe that back in the day this was a common way for smaller groups to transport their copies of "God's most important laws". A nice touch off them to put this in the game. What’s up! I know this might seem off topic, but here’s for anyone who feels they’ve lost hope and needs to hear this: whether you believe in Heaven or not, consider this, if there was a Heaven, are you sure you’d go there after death? If you’re not sure, here you go: God loves you, and he became a human as Jesus, died to take the penalty for anything wrong you’d ever do, and rose from the dead. Sin is disobedience to Jesus’ commandments for how to live, and sin separates us from him- if you want to be saved from hell and be with God forever after death, just believe in Jesus and what he did (John 3:16) and turn away from habits of sin (Luke 13:3). That’s it. Our actions are the evidence for whether our faith is real (James 2:17), but since everyone fails on a daily basis, we aren’t saved by our actions, but only by God’s mercy (Ephesians 2:8-9), so when we fail, all we need to do is confess our sins to God, and continue fighting (1 John 1:9). Hopefully this helps anybody in need, and I hope you have a great day!

No we definitely knew graphics could be better, but it looked really good anyway
These prisoners looks well fed
Except the ones in the incinerators
Yeah poor game design. If you look at the photos it's horrifying how starved they were.
@@marrowkaiproductions7053 nop,e these might be fresh new comers, thats why they look well fed
because its a labor camp. Can't have prisoners be holocaust levels of emaciated if you want them to work your usual 18-20 something hours of labor for at least a week.
@@marrowkaiproductions7053 Are you referring to the photos that later turned out to be from soviet gulags, or some other photos?
20:58 Time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I’m all out of bubblegum.
I like how a the guards are set with their back behind the player.
I like how B.J does not understand a word of German, yet he understands everything asked of him.
he does actually understands german and can badly speak it, its shown in old blood where they are in a infiltration mission when the other character says '' dont try to speak, your german is afwul,,.
@@ratatataget, he clearly does not understand German, how can one understand a language that they can not speak??
When asked if he is a Frankfurter, he replies with: "Yes, one hot dog". Why dare to use two English words in a German sentence?? He was lucky to get away with it only because they thought he was making a stereotypical joke about Americans.
If you notice, the subtitles also state the words in German, rather than English, another subtle hint that he does not understand the language as most games, when a protagonist can understand the language spoken, the subtitles are translated to English, like Karl Fairburne from Sniper Elite.
@@H.M.SKingGeorgeV as I quote WESLEY: ok your german frankly its atroucius so no talking.
so he can speak it but badly. wolfenstein old blood 1 mision intro cutseen
@@ratatataget, and why is his German atrocious?? I wonder.. 🤔🤔
Perhaps it is because he barely understands a word of it and therefore is unable to speak it?? 🤔🤔🤯🤯
Not a very bright light, are you. Doesn't take a master linguist to figure that one out, buddy..
@@ratatatagethe can read and hear but he is shit at speaking Germans

"Oh the bearings melted, (talking in a slight dialect) we need maintenance donw here, so we close for today? Yes we close, do you wanna get wasted? Yes lets go!"
They casted two German speaking voice actors with Austrian accent and the employee who made the English subtitles didn't bother to properly transcribe or translate their dialogue?
That's weak, here's the proper convo @ 06:07
Soldier 1: How's she looking? Can we start again?
Soldier 2: The bearings are molten. We need some technicians down here.
Soldier 1: But they'll come back tomorrow... well, let's finish for today, right?
Soldier 2: Jo
Soldier 1: Come let's get wasted
Soldier: 2: Why not? Attention prisoners, factory is closed for today, go back to your quaters immediately. Inmates from block 4 through the red gate, inmates from block 6 through the blue gate.
The cuff titles (Ärmelstreifen) on their jacket sleeves read Heimatschutz which means Homeguard.
At 6:17 they dont just say "lets shut down for today". They actually say "lets shut down for today and go drink (alcohol)".
Idk why but I think its nice to know this little extra detail
Applies individualized serial number tattoo, uses sleeve patches for identification. This plot armor is THICK.
18:05 London simulator
I love the scene at 6:08. Because im German myself i understand everything and its funny that the guards are just saying that the maintenance crew comes tomorrow so they are just going to drink instead of work. However its not shown in the subtitles
That robot he's piloting has the worst cockpit design. That's like designing a tank with the crewmen placed on top with no protection.
Damn that dude was like, “hey man, first day? EXPOSITION DUMP”
This concrete thing looks very easy and not that bad minus all the abuse
Im surprised she didn't drop the baby.
you have some of the best gameplay I've ever seen! it's very human and it doesnt meander so it has a good flow and feels genuine
The Bavarian Accent of the Soldier is insane, such little details makes a game good.
Little details like patrol guards not seeing a burly man crouching through their corridors..?
She pronounced Łódź so well
The voice actress is Polish
@@youwanagethi Then I must compliment her English :)
The black actor spoke partially Afrikaans a minute later 😅 the game is very well made
6:19 in germany we dont say "lets have a drink". we say "komm, gehen wir saufen"
these wolfenstein games are more movie than game
Not really - you might think that if you’re only watching the cutscenes
0:43 Her mentioning Croatia completely caught me off guard
Considering they were diehard Nazis, shouldn't really
Bro they still got them in the 60s? Like within 5 years so many had died that I doubt in 20 there would be any left than those lucky enough to escape their grasp.
*How the hell he manage to survive those stabs? Like He is not wolverine right?*
He’s terror Billy
he may or may not be magical
in the game immediately prior to this one, he kept a magic medallion in his pocket that let him control reality, my theory is he's still got some magic in his system from using it so much
The guards at 06:00 have a distinct Bavarian accent..
I love stuff like that
You’ll only hear it if you know German..
It's actually more of an Austrian accent
6:15 as a german them not translating "kom gehn wa saufen" is a crime. (It means: Come, lets drink some stuff (alcohol))
17:59 Best part BTW
I'm pretty sure Bubi saved BJ from being marched straight into the gas chamber.
Nobodies gonna know the fate of that baby in the beginning of mission...
It’s one of two possibilities, death or “forgiveness”. I’d like to imagine she “forgave” the baby for being what it is and had it placed somewhere else since she didn’t immediately drop it. (I am saying “forgive” because it’s transgression is it’s bloodline.)

I'm sorry, but the "forced labour camp" was like a vacation in there compared to the camp in real life
It's a paradise compared to the ironic parallel the Israelis made in Gaza.
The Nazis probably took some examples from Schindler that a well fed and healthy labor camp = more productive factory while they still torture and execute some of the prisoners
I wonder what happened to Schindler in this universe
