I spent 70 hours on my first complete run of Stellar blade and apart from the section you have to avoid cannons, enjoyed every minute!!! Especially once I unlocked the chained counter which I wish I had done earlier. The fighting is so much fun! The craftmanship of the combat, music, puzzles, visuals and spectacular boss fights is just staggering.
Surprised to see Returnal so high on your list since it's not really mentioned a lot in gaming conversations now a days and I feel like it's a bit underrated but man that game is so damn good. I actually have zero complaints on my end regarding Returnal. It became one of my all time favorite games ever since I played it and there is truly just nothing like it on the market. I can only hope we get a second part in the future.
Returnal gives me a very uneasy feeling whenever I play it. Not sure if it’s because of where I was at in life when I played it or the creators intent, but either way I still really enjoy playing it despite the existential dread I get from it

@spursdynasty7378 Tough question 🤔 I like them both, but I think I like Rise of the ronin a little more. I have more hours in the game, so I'm able to judge it more. But from what I played of Stellar blade beside some annoying puzzles, I like the game
@@spursdynasty7378 trust me stellar blade i played both and felt like i was on auto pilot for the the later half of ronin. And ghost is a better game. Stellar blade is a 9/10 ronin is 7.5-8/10

What i found crazy is the tweets from the Horizon Games publisher about elden ring but its not a reason to hate on the games.

TLOU part 1 made me appreciate the game so much more than the remake did. Thanks to it, TLOU part 1 made it to my top 10 GOAT.
I also agree with Returnal being that high in your list, it is such an underrated game.

I was one of the people back in the day that thought the whole zombie trope was overdone and didn't give The Last of Us a fair chance until this year and man I wished I played it 10 years earlier ago. It goes way beyond any of that. Was curious if you plan on ranking any Life is Strange games along with Twin Mirrors/Tell Me Why. Also Hamtaro!

Interesting thing about Stellar Blade, if you pay close attention to the ending there's a reason why Eve and Lilly look anime-like, while Adam looks like a real person
If you had to put Final Fantasy Vii rebirth on this list, where would it rank?
Rebirth is a 7/10 IMO, nothing special. Open World is really mid.

Honestly my #1 and #2 can go either way tbh. I'm in love with both of them! I honestly think that Ghost is an underrated masterpiece. It should have won game of the year in 2020, not TLOU2

HZD is a superb RPG, highly individualistic in the norm of standard RPG’s. Excellent landscaping, characters ( NPC’s ), story is unmatched in originality. Combat is great, seed & plant collection is superb. Aloy on the other hand could well have been designed to look more like an attractive character, for a girl. Her presentation is not good. If we had Lara or Tifa or even that Eve from the new Stellar Blade, HZD & FW would be perfection.

Demons souls was the game that had me hype when I saw it. It looked great, and let understand where souls started.
Its crazy the amount of hate forbidden west gets, like it was one of my favorite games by far and its pretty damn unique

Cmon man thats just sublime. Ive been playing on PS for all my life, have played almost every single one of the games on this list, though i finished just Rise of the Ronin and Gran turismo 7 so i wont bother ranking them this time. I will comment though on Ronins review which i had almost identical thoughts on it. Enjoyed the combat, got bored with the dialogue and story, absolutely hated the open world, i was planning to platinum the game so i had to do everything, i collected 100 stupid cats, then i dropped on platinum altogether. Gran Turismo 7 is just superb in my opinion. Btw i was planning to make this a super thanks but i had no money, though i will make up for it with the first opportunity

GoW Ragnarok > GoW > Spiderman > Spiderman 2 > Bloodborne > Horizon Zero Dawn > Days Gone > Spiderman Miles Morales > TLOU 1 >>>> GoT > Demon Souls >>>>>>>> Gran Turismo
My opinion on some games such as GoT is quite different from the general opinion. I plan on playing the uncharted games and the old gow games soon
MM SM was surprisingly my favorite of the 3 releases so far. SM2 had the best gameplay In my opinion but the story just wasn’t as engaging as the first. MM story was #2 with gameplay at #2 but with 1 having the least engaging gameplay and 2 being the least engaging story, MM sits at #1 in the 3 releases for me.
Also agree that Astro needs a full release to help me get over the disappointment I felt when Playroom ended. [Himtaro]
Surprised to see Returnal rated so high! It's number 1 IMO. Modern Metroid should've played like that.
He is wrong the side quests and story from what i played in rise of the ronin is amazing the voice acting isn't bad and the open world is fantastic the level design is awesome

I do not like Sony games anymore. My last was Days Gone. Exclusives should die on all platforms. It creates lower sales and mental disorder for fanboys.

Last of us Part II is my favorite. I love the risks taken in the narrative, the gameplay, and absolutely gorgeous graphics. I know it's a divisive game but I love it even more than the first one.

I heavily disagree on the miles morales take, phin is a terrible villain in the sense that they try to make u feel empathetic towards her despite her being a massive hypocrite, miles is also a push over, let's phin walk all over him and apologises when it's phin who should be doing the apologising, phin nearly kills miles' mom at the rally and blames it on SPIDERMAN who only did to save the rally, which btw that attack was completely unnecessary as their main target was the nuform at the bridge, so essentially phin put miles' mom and her "community" at risk for no reason, all of this would be fine if insomniac didn't try to keep making you feel sorry for phin
Yea dawg i found rise of ronin very disappointing, i've been waiting for the game for a while since i love team ninja. wo long, awesome. nioh, masterpiece. ninja gaiden, im there all day. but this new game was meh. Team ninja could've done so much more wit that game.
however the following playstation exclusive stellar blade was a beast, that game was awesome. my only complain really is that most sidequests are bland, it has horrendeous checkpoints at times and it could've been a longer game. but the main quest was amazing, combat was excellent and the soundtrack is one of the yr's best. it should've just been a linear main quest game only wit no sidequests and it would've been even better but either way it was an awesome game.
sony released a masterpiece wit ff7 rebirth, dropped the ball wit ronin but picked it up immediately wit stellar blade. can't wait for their next exclusive, whatever & whenever that'll be.

Incase anyone's wondering "where's helldivers 2?" i have no interest in a mutiplayer game only y'all, im a singleplayer guy ppl, hence why it didn't make my list. im sure it's a great game though but it's not for me ppl.
PS5's already build a solid roster for only being out for 3 yrs or so, can't wait to see how it'll be when it reaches it's full lifespan.

i love Rise of the Ronin, bu I do agree the story is meh, as it is real but the voice overs are terrible....I give you that but for combat and open world it is good....I am a sucker for samurai games...and historic stories

GOW 2018 is far superior to Rag. Rag was boring in some parts and dragged. Still a good game but 2018 GOW is a masterpiece.

Tbh I have been associated with PS brand for 20+ years now & I think 90-95% of modern Sony games are trash. They have too much wokeness & DEI in it & too many unskippable cutscenes & walking segments that take the control away from the player & basically force them to watch a game with a controller in their hands. And too many repetitive meaningless chore-like side missions. "go here, go there, do this, do that, collect this for no reason". There is no sense of exploration & curiosity in Sony open world games like you would find in games like Elden Ring, BOTW, Witcher 3, Baldur's gate 3 etc. Sony devs suck out all sense of exploration from an open world game & handhold too much. Even their puzzles are way too easy & NPCs spell it out for you. If you consider the fact that majority of gaming population today are adults, we dont appreciate easy predictable games & puzzles. We want games that challenge our intellect, not make us feel like a kid & patronize us.
I think on the PS5 I only like Returnal, Astro & Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut to some extent. Ghost also has all the problems i mentioned above... Repetitive side missions, keep clearing out the same mongol camps, easy gameplay, zero sense of exploration since everything is marked on the map & so on... Still I like Ghost of Tsushima the most out of all major Sony titles like GOWR, Spiderman 2, TLOU2, Horizon etc. Also there is no wokeness/DEI/Sweet Baby agenda in GoT(yet). God knows what they will do with GoT 2. And Returnal is a totally new IP so I appreciate it way more than any of the other games that are a sequel or remaster to a well established IP. Tbh I'm feeling burnt out with sequels & remasters. I want new IPs like Returnal going forward. I dont want to play the same shit with better graphics again & again. And I want a more gameplay focused linear experience like Returnal. So yeah respect for putting Returnal at the top cuz it totally deserves it. It's the only new IP this generation. Also the 3rd offering have been mindblowing this gen. Helldivers 2, Stellar Blade, FF16, FFVII Rebirth. Even Rise of Ronin, the game may not be a graphical masterpiece but gameplay wise it's a solid game.

Spiderman 2 is not god. The traversal is great. However, the story is trash and the gameplay is padded with boring mini games. The combat is worse then the prior game.

He said PS5 and 2020. Days gone is a 2019 PS4 game. So it wasn't forgotten. Also even if he did add it to this list as a 17th entry it wouldn't be number one because it's not that good.
