Blendtec Peach Ice Cream

- This 'ice cream' is extremely quick and easy to make. Any not eaten immediately can be frozen for a later time. The only ingredients are sugar, vanilla, and two Costco items, vanilla soy milk and frozen peaches. For someone who is trying to eat healthy, but has an ice cream craving this may be the ideal compromise. It really does hit the spot in the evening when you need an ice cream fix.

great video!
I used coconut milk kefir!! So yummy and it has probiotics!!
I agree with the others that recommend almond milk, and you can make this right in the blender very quickly. You just need a nut bag to filter the pulp. Agave nectar is better than sugar too. Blendtec has a new twister jar does a much better job on frozen desserts, and you can make smaller quantities. It's ridiculously expensive, but a joy to use.
Any blender works perfectly
You are right.
Thanks for the video, one question though which Blendtec model is it ???
looks like the blendtec total.
I bought a Blendtec container specifically made for the Vitamix and it's very loud when I make a thick ice cream.
Can this be made with Almond Milk instead? I don't use soy at all....
Not only CAN this be made with full-fat coconut milk instead of soy milk, it is preferable! The ice cream will be soooo much creamier!
+vegangelist Coconut is much healthier than soy as well.
True, but I wasn't speaking to the health benefits. Frankly, I wouldn't care if it weren't any healthier (it is just a bonus that it is). I'm still "team coconut milk" because it make a far superior non-dairy ice cream :)
Hurray for coconut cream!
Vegan thought, have you tried Almond milk Nog or soDelicious Holiday Nog? They're more Creamy.
Peach Ice Cream smoke!, don't breathe this
People should know, making ice cream this way is ok when served right away as soft serve..... BUT.... If you put this in the freezer you will end up with a beach flavored brick. It will not be scoop-able like real ice cream. The ice crystals form differently in a blender rendering it totally different from what you get out of an ice cream maker.....
can this blender be used to make normal cream? I need cream for a cake and our mixer AND blender are both down. 1 is smelting when used and the other one has the risk of the sharp blades comming lose.
yes its the classic it has a mix setting on it. I got my one today but is a new model.
@JohnGaltX007 You need more ice/cream/frozen fruit/Vitamix.
sounds like the guy from The Big Bang Theory
Pop that in freezer for an hour 2. It'll be more like ice cream and less like sorbet.
The government has it listed on the GRAS list. It is not required to be on the lable and the manufacturers do not put it on the label.
Is it true that Costco is not going to sell Blendtec in the future due to many people returning them over problem issues?
I just bought one at Costco 2 weeks ago for $249. It is AWESOME!!
Andrew Strasfogel For that price they are a hell of a lot better than any Ninja that's for damn sure. Just be careful when blending raw almonds, you don't want to tear up your jar gaskets.
Tellum Bundy!
Almond milk is much better for you and tastes great. Hemp milk is plant based, but I don't enjoy the taste as much as I do almond milk.
Cow milk is the best. The Govt. wants to get rid of cows so they feed people that BS. The almond milk that you buy contains 2% nuts might as well just use water.
Why Soy? Almond Milk is better or even just plain ole Cow milk..
Store bought Ice cream contains Propylene glycol (antifreeze) which allows you to somewhat easily scoop it out. :) I am not going into it's health effects right now. I will just say they are bad. lol
It's 11 years later 🥴, but a little vodka improves the texture. Not too much. Maybe similar to the chemical reaction described in this comment.
DRINK ?
The vitamix is known at my restaurant as the vita-piece of shit
Say NO to soy.
no, the worst thing is milk. atleast soy is still plant based.
So don't buy store bought. But at least use a proper ice cream freezer which breaks down the ice crystals giving it the proper consistency and preventing it from turning into a brick.
Oh, and not all store brands contain Propylene glycol. Haagen Dazs vanilla, for example, contains only milk, cream, vanilla, sugar and egg yolks. Enough of your histrionics.....
I use the BlendTec often when we want an immediate hit of ice cream. Not necessarily to keep in the freezer for days on end. Though if I do store it, I give it a 10- or 20-seconds blast in the microwave to just soften it for scooping, and I like it fine. Edit: and I have an ice cream freezer. The BlendTec is about immediacy.
Yeah, I can't help but notice that soapy water in the sink. Too distracting.
Soy is BADDD
dude, soy milk is about the WORST thing you can eat!!! it's NOT a health food!!! especially as a man, you should know that. go for almond or coconut milk instead. sheesh
