I owe a lot of my support to Jordan Syatt! He is what really got me set on the right foot and kept me focused !
Jordan Syatt UA-cam Channel : / @jordansyatt
Recipe:
100 g Milk
100g greek yogurt
300 g Frozen Strawberries Berries
40g Honey
2 g Xanthan Gum (link: amzn.to/30HZptm )
Add all of the ingredients to your blender: Blend until smooth and thick.
This recipe works best in a Vitamix using the tamper. You can use a ninja as well, but you will need a blender capable of making ice cream for this to work. Don't try this in just any blender as your standard variety will probably not work.
I actually eat this every night!!

instant pot recipes?
I am planning on it not sure what I am gonna make m any ideas ?
I've wanted a Vitamix for years and years. We just got our first one less than a week ago (the E320 from Crostco) and I love it every bit as much as I thought I would. I really like your style and the recipe, but I want to give you a HUGE high five for using grams!! My husband has a cooking food blog and I bake a lot. Grams make everything so much easier and more accurate than volume measurement. IMO, it shows that you're serious about your craft and that you have a professional mindset. This is my first time on your channel but I look forward to checking out your other offerings. 😊
Thank you !! I am happy you love your vitamix there amazing

@@THEFOODDEE I tried something similar to this but without xantham gum as my first frozen homemade product now! I was gifted a Vitamix & kinda overwhelmed at where to start. You might like mine but yours is way better on protein. :)
I did frozen coconut milk cubes, frozen strawberries, frozen peaches, frozen strawberry yogurt cubes + a little pineapple juice. Like a creamy daiquiri kinda!
@@princesskileyrae sounds yummy
Looks awesome.
It was! one of my fave things
Any chance on getting a hard copy of your recipe book?
Congratulations on your weight loss journey. And, thank you for sharing and inspiring. I can’t wait to try your recipes. I’m a gastric patient and after 14 years, my thyroid meds have been lowered. I have been adding weight and eating less. I just don’t know how to eat right and be content. Tired of starving and not knowing healthy way of eating.
Hey !!
I was not planning on doing a hard copy of this book but I am selling hard copy’s of my new cookbook coming out soon . It’s going to be a Greek cookbook!!
Hello could you link a couple vitamix videos down below and brilliant video man enjoyed watching it and please can you give me advice on what i should stock up on i have a high metabolism too fast to the poimt im practically bones and skin is they a way to counteract this issue
I can do more vitamix videos! as for your other question i cant comment on as I am not a doctor
Looks so good. Always use dairy.
Thanks for the video 🙂
Which size blender are you using 64 ounce or 48 ounce?
Your welcome ! That’s a 64oz
Thanks for the video! Can't wait to try it this weekend. Opinion question for you: A Cuisinart ice cream maker (or any ice cream maker for that matter) vs Vitamix - which one would you prefer for ice cream making? I have a Cuisinart, but not too happy with the results yet. Haven't tried Vitamix for ice cream before.
Thanks ! As for your question the vitamix is not a true ice cream just a super thick smoothie . I like home made ice cream in a maker but I find the vita-mix ice cream faster an better for my waist line lol
@@THEFOODDEE Got it! Agree on watching the waistline 😊. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to my question. Much appreciated 🙏.
@@mnet1514 no problem anytime :)
@@mnet1514
It’s a shame that you were mislead by this title, as everyone else was as well. He should never have advertised this as being ice cream! This is absolutely not ice cream.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Yes, but it’s close enough. And, he’s doing a huge service to us Vitamix owners. Bigger question is why you feel like you need to criticize (unnecessarily).
Yum!
Yum is right :)
Thank you for sharing. I will try. Congratulations on your weight loss and no I didn't notice hair. 😁
Thank you :) let me know what you think and if you have questions feel free to ask :)
Just found you!!! Congratulations on your “recovery”. ✊
How do you store it? Or can you?
Thank you for this, Just found you! I was wondering when you say 100 g greek yogurt, is that Non-fat plain greek yogurt? Thank you!
Yup it is but any will work :)
What kind of honey is good?
What can I use instead of xanthum gum? (Can’t source in U.K.) thank you in advance. Looks great
You can just omit it :)
Awesome video
Thank you
Awesome vid! Does it store well in the freezer? You know how sometimes a shake will freeze solid, does it freeze like regular ice cream?
It will freeze solid aswell unfortunately . U could freeze and remove 5-10 mins before serving and it should be good to scoop . And thanks :)
Congratulations on your weight loss😊
Yummy!!
Try it :)
Oh, great. Now I need a vitamix :P
Yummy! I'll be making a vegan version of this
Very easy to do swap the yogurt for vegan protein powder
Is it plain Greek yogurt? What percentage of fat? Thx!! Excited to try😊
Plain but use any flavour and 2%
I am new to the Vitamix and how do you find measuring cups and utensils in grams?
I weight it on a scale
Cool video!
Thank you!
Can you sub the milk for heavy cream? trying to make it as low carb as possible. And do you have a recipe for chocolate soft serve?
You totally can swap
Thanks for showing is how to make a SMOOTHIE
You mean icecream :)
Do we have other replacement for Xanthan gum?
You can use guar gum or omit it completely
Would unsweetened gelatin work in place of xanthan gum?
Not sure never tried it
I don’t think it would
Have you done bigger batches and put in freezer? Or refrigerator maybe? Not sure where you would store since there was surprisingly no ice.
I haven’t stored any if you do just let it sit for a few mins after you take it out of the. Freezer before you scoop it . You can add ice but frozen fruit works and don’t water down the flavour :)
Do you need to use the xanthan gum? Can we leave it out? Is there a substitute?
Great video
Hey , you can leave it out it will still work but may not be as creamy. Let me know how it turns out :)
@@THEFOODDEE will do
@@kuci1995 did it work? Also you asked for a substiture, guargum is another one also most thickeners should do the job decently well, although not to the extent that guargum or xantamgum would
@@erlandochoa8278 Never actually got around to making it.
I got the four mounds and it past the freeze test, but the ice cream itself still look watery. Am I missing something? I am using a 4 year old 750 Pro Series that I only make smoothies in. Could the blades be dull? And would that effect the end result of ice cream? Or is that how the ice cream looks am I expecting too much? Not a Breyers or Store Brought Ice Cream consistency! More like a watery Italian ice.
Mine comes out like a thick soft serve
try blue spirulina

I love ice cream
dont we all :)
Nice ice cream
Thanks a lot
I’ve tried this recipe a handful of times now but it always comes out too soupy… any tips on what I might be doing wrong? I am using a Vitamix!
Maybe add less liquid to start see how it goes
I actually tried this with frozen oranges and it was amazing! Who woulda thought? 🍊
Awesome !!
What watts is considered a high speed blender?
1500
This ice cream looks great!!!
It was!
If I use a regular blender why won’t it work since you used yours on a low setting? Also, will stevia liquid drops work for a sweetener? I’m currently on WW & honey is a lot of points
You can totally do it in a regular blender, you just might need to be patient and let it run a little longer! Liquid Stevia is an awesome option for when you don't want to or need to add honey! Go for it and let us know how it goes!
Hey I use mine on slow to start then rev it up to 10. I guess you could use a regular blender I just cant say it will blend it smooth. I know in my old ninja it never got 100% smooth. and yes you can use drops I use them as well when i need to watch my calories for the day ! Thank you for your comment and I hope you enjoy! Also adding a bit of PB2 or a dried peanut butter gives it a nice PB and J taste :)
@@maddisonlogue2717 totally agree you can even use protein powder to up the protein!
Because the vitamix is much higher quality metal gears etc over 1000watts and so on a regular blender is not designed to do things like this I had a homgeek blender before my vitamix which broke while making a soup so yeah the reason being is because these blenders are made to commercial standards
Woul you be so kind to help me with what size American tablespoon 2 grams would be equal to?
1/8 tsp
Can you provide the measurements in a unit other than grams?
sure :)
100 m or half a cupl Milk
100g or 1/2 cup greek yogurt
300 g or 2 cups Frozen Strawberries Berries
40g or 3 tbsp Honey
2 g Xanthan Gum about 1/2 teaspoon (link: amzn.to/30HZptm )
@@THEFOODDEE thanks !!!
If I want to add crackers to it, how many grahams? Seriously, great recipe, which worked for me. Now I am going to try for orange pineapple next.
I am not sure how many crackers to add I never thought to add them . Are you talking about gram crackers or just plain crackers ?
@@THEFOODDEE Just clowning around with a small play on words in response to all the posts about "grams".
@@chulavista5239 haha got ya lol thanks for watching :)
One thing I know about my vitamix is that it gets very warm. You don’t find that the ice cream starts to melt because of the heat of the machine?
Under a min I never have a issue
Not used to grams
This looks delicious. Anyone have american conversions from grams?
😮Thanks foodies!
What would happen if we leave out xanthan gum?
It would be fine it just helps hold it and keep it together longer
@@THEFOODDEE thank you
Do you think this can be done with frozen spinach in a 2:1 strawberry:spinach ratio? Given spinach is so healthy and the taste isn't really noticeable, I would think it would be fine and would add more green veg to my diet.
Add some in it shouldn’t change the texture to much
How long will the ice cream last in the freezer?
Few months but make sure you take it out 10 mins before you want to scope it
Can you make this recipe without adding the gum you mention
Yes you can :)
Make me ice cream, thanks
Last time you washed that Vitamix!?
Right before the video
Anyone know if this will double ok?
Yup I have done it :)
I want your book
