When the list of greatest rock singers is discussed, you almost never hear anyone mention Robin Zander.
    That's just wrong.

no its not wrong, it just means 95% of cheap tricks stuff isnt known by most people, the radio plays mostly i want you to want me, surrender , dream police, then the flame and maybe "shes tight" WE FANS know the rest of the stuff

This song is like a whole bunch of classic rock tracks all rolled into one: the guitar riff of the Yardbirds "Psycho Daisies", the stuttering vocal of the Who's "My Generation," the "My baby likes to rock" lyric of Ted Nugent's "Wango Tango," and the histrionics and stop-and-go rhythm of Zeppelin's "Black Dog." If you need an instruction manual on how to write a great rock song, here it is.

Your funny! alot you have listed i can agree on or I dont know but this isnt at all like Bonhams Black Dog , theres no click beginninng each part, Bun has a different intro for each one and dont tell us youve never written a song by putting down a part you thought was good n cleaver until someone like yourself goes off finding something simular. remember they put it all together and did it well, you should be an attorney instead of a musician. this isnt 1964 many riffs have been used

Especially as good as he sounded while singing Live throughout the bands long career. Not the heaviest band by any means, but they know what a good riff and hook is to make it onto radio. Their old tunes still make me freak out just like they did when Ibwas a 10 or 11 year old little punk kid.

@headshop I'd met CT years ago just after they first got signed. But recently, earlier this summer Bun E. put on a drum clinic at SSE Music in La Crosse (Wisconsin) and I had an opportunity to chat with him and he confirmed that like Ringo Starr, he's actually left handed, but plays right handed and is (for some odd reason) not as proficient playing drums left handed but good enough to 'fake it' in the few videos where he does it. Bun E.'s a total class act. He's good people.

It's not very often you see Robin Zander in a t-shirt & leather pants, I've always pictured him wearing a suit or a jacket but never in a t-shirt & leather pants

That, I recall was the All Shook up choice of clothing...."Green Suit" and "Pink Suit" was mixed in there too during that time- I know he wore one of the colored suits in a May 1980 show on the Dream Police tour. So you can tell the approximate year of a picture if you see what Robin was wearing (as well as who was on bass)

This is great. The band was tight as anything. Interesting - the drum set myst have been rented or was provided by the house because Bun never played a double bass.

That was Bun's actual kit thru the 81 tour. You can see his name on both bass drums. Not a rented kit

Pete Comita. I remember seeing them on this tour. Peterson was off due to exhaustion. Joints thrown onstage. Rick threw the ones on his side to the roadies. Pete was smoking his. Rick attempts to get one off Petes side of the stage. Pete stepped on it mid song. lol
