Thanks for the review! Went ahead and bought this over bobovr and this feels fantastic on my head. Definitly no buzzing noise! Also bought extra battery to unlock unlimited play! 🤩
That distance adjustment is well thought. I replaced my BoboVR M3 with ZyberVR becasue there was no distance adjustment and I couldn't get it close to my eyes no matter what I do. This one looks worth a try.
I really like the way it adjusts, and if you have it away from your face, but then want it against your face, you can just push it and it will move into place, and then turn the cogs to move it away again 👍
Thanks, I find it really helps, some people do find them off putting, but I think I just need to work on my presenting and that will help more than not wearing them 👍
@@theamazingmikelee9857 thanks for the feedback, my presentation skills definitely need improving, and confidence levels. I have luckily now come off the medication which made me significantly fatigued, huge bags under my eyes, and made me generally look exhausted, so there is probably less need for these now and I would probably feel more confident not wearing them, we shall see 👍
I finally found the holy grill of quest 3 straps ! its the best one out yet!! very comfortable for gaming and watching content! Thank you for the great review!
I think both are probably just as comfortable as each other, but they both feel different. The KIWI one is still probably my favourite all rounder, but this is probably my preferred option for working in VR. You can still take most of the pressure off your face with Kiwi's but can't remove the pressure completely or remove the facial interface. The battery is smaller with Kiwi's strap, but overall less heavy. So I think it really comes down to personal preference and how you use your Q3, between a typical style of the KIWI one vs halo/larger replaceable battery 👍
i just bought this but i dont understand how to charge it. should i remove the battery from the headset and charge it separately? while charging the headset separately?
@@josue3434ify It is a great headset (except the buzzing), and could be worth contacting them to see if they can swap the battery for their upgraded version (although I don't think it is in stock yet), which hopefully has less noise 👍
Unfortunately I bought this and my son bought the Bobour S3 Pro. When we play the same co-op vr games with both batteries fully charged, his Bobour battery outlasts the KK by quite a margin.
Great review! I stumbled on this one in Amazon and am very interested… one question: Do you know if this extra battery will charge with the headset connected to the OEM dock?
I got the Bobo M3 Pro and this one looks much MUCH better + bigger battery capacity. If the M3 + AMVR face gasket fits your head is pure luck. It's okay for me, but i wish i had seen this KKCOBVR Q3 PRO earlier.
@k0ffa I think this is better than the BOBOVR M3 Pro, having a top strap all the way front to back really helps, and I do like the dials to adjust the distance the Q3 is from your face rather than just sliding the Q3 with the M3 Pro. This strap really does an excellent job of distributing weight and a 10000mAh battery is awesome, just hope the revised battery is quieter, will update when I get it 👍
Yea, same as Amazon US. Next drop will probably be V2. I have to say, when I talked to them, they replied immediately even when I didn't notice because I wasn't expecting that.
That's a really good way to put it! It is great for working in an app like immersed, plug it into a usb charger and work all day, and if you want to game you can always put the battery pack in your pocket with a cable to it until they send out the replacement 👍
You had me at distance adjustment. This looks so much more complete than what ever crap bobovr is selling. My only question is does the lenses come close enough when not using face gasket? I have a bad feeling about that.
They come as close as they do when you have the face gasket on, which is pretty close, and I can't remember if they came much closer, but my eyelashes touch the lenses anyway when wearing the Quest 3. It's a great head strap, and they are replacing the battery. I love the way the distance adjusts rather than just sliding it on the arms like other straps 👍
Your eyelashes touch the lenses when using face gasket? I'm just concerned that the adjustment range is too short and that you can't get the lenses VERY close when not wearing the face gasket to maximize the FOV. One product image on Amazon got me worried, but it was maybe misleading.
Based on the product image on Amazon, the adjustment area is too short. And there's one review that got me double worried: "Without a facecover, Quest 3 also cannot be pushed close enough to the face as the advertisement suggests. I easily had two centimeters of air between the lenses and the eyes"@@DayDreamerVR
@@simcoyote I'll double check for you tonight, again, if you can get the facepad against your face, then for me my eyelashes touch the lenses, and I don't have long lashes. If there is a 2cm gap between their eyes and their lenses, and there eye lashes are somewhere around a cm or so, there isn't much of a gap, and I didn't have any concerns but will confirm 👍
Well, if necessary i can always sand the adjusment range wider with a rotary tool and drill a small holes for bolts to lock it where i like it. They made the adjustment range short so the 90-angle cable connector could fit. Ugh.@@DayDreamerVR
What does the button on the battery do? Does it turn it on/off? I recently got BoboVR S3 Pro, but the battery is always on, unless removed (but that defeats the purpose of having it as counterweight). Problem with that is it's trickle-charging a full-battery Q3 which isn't good for the internal battery. I'd rather manually turn on that strap battery when Q3 battery falls to 50%. Is the KKCobVR Q3 battery able to charge up the Q3 while you are gaming? Or does it only extend the drain?
So the power button is similar to the BoboVR S3 Pro's. If you press the button when it is off the strap, it will show how charged it is. If you press it whilst it is on the strap and connected, it will start the charging. If the strap is connected, and you put the battery onto the strap, it will automatically start charging the Q3 without pressing the power button. If you have the battery on the strap, with the strap not plugged in to the Q3, and if the battery lights are off, then from my tests when you connect the head strap to the Q3 charging port, it does not start charging, and you would have to press the button on the battery to start it. If it is charging, there is no way to turn off the charging with the power button, and you would have to remove the battery from the strap, or charging cable from the Q3. As for battery life, it all depends on the load on the Quest 3. In most scenarios you will still find the Q3 battery drains slowly, but on some occasions I have noticed the battery does charge and doesn't reduce. Hope that helps 👍
So, are they are going to change the battery to the new customers too? Or how it’s going to work? I got it, and for me is more comfortable than the bobovr m3 but the noise of the battery sometimes is a little bit annoying
I would recommend contacting them to see if they can help. I don't know if they quite have the battery yet but it is due any day. I would recommend that anyone who gets one with a noisy battery contacts them or considers returning their strap if they can and get it again a few weeks later to see, (if the company can't help with the battery)
I don't have the AMVR face cover myself, but as you can adjust the distance of the forehead pad, and angle etc, there isn't any reason I can see why this wouldn't be compatible 👍
That top headstrap looks completely unnecessary to me. I just ordered mine from their website as its cheaper and guaranteed to be the updated no buzzing version (I never trust old Amazon stock!). Is anyone else here using it without the top headstrap?
The reason for the top headstrap is to keep the front/Quest 3 and rear of the strap a set distance apart. Without it, it is likely that the front will drop down and put the full weight of the Quest 3 onto your cheeks/nose etc
Yeah, it really adds that bit of extra comfort. If you really didn't want the battery you could get this one, swap the straps over and re-sell the battery one. A lot to go through to get the top strap though! Could be worth contacting the company to see if they would ship just the top strap and for how much, they might help 🤞
