From what appears in the product images, the white meta quest ribbon does not need to go over the black ribbon on this strap, it can go underneath and attach to the strap
The instructions and most product shots show it attaching to the top black strap. However you're right, you could just attach it the forehead bar if you didn't want to use the top strap. You can also remove it entirely and not use it at all.
Excellent review as always. You do make the case for the KKCOB headset. If I didn’t already have and enjoy my BOBOVR S3 (with a fan, not found with the KKCOB) I would consider it. I’m sure 3S consumers will go for the lower cost headset
I tried my friends KKCOBVR vs my Bobovr, the kkcobvr couldnt rlly keep up with the headset power usage time, the bobo was just better to me. But in terms of pricing I would def pick the kkcob vr.
Lovely review, you are making good points about it too and pointing out even small details(like smaller forehead band).I am all for competition, they give some more adjustability with that dial on side to move headset back and forth which is great, and providing similar charging performance for lesser price.Overall seems like a great deal for people who don't want to spend another 100 bucksbon headstrap alone.I would only assume that overall quality of materials is lesser, but to be fair bobo did these for years and are just bigger in general. But otherwise, awesome strap, awesome review, thank you very much for it!
I bought the non battery version and one of the wheels doesnt allow me to connect my kiwi design link cable :( this happens if you adjust the lenses as close as possible to your face. To avoid this you can put the link cable "looking" forward, but it feels weird and the cable moves directly on the C port and my movements may damage the port. It is a shame because its a very light headstrap and it feels almost the same as the bobo vr, at least to me.
I don't like this one - I bought it I used it and its ok but ... for some reason the hinges, this in the middle of the strap when the front cushion is ending are pressing on my scull, is not much at the beginning but then after a while is start to be unconfutable and in long sessions I want to get out of it ! I am back to original now until I find something better.
🎅 🤶 I have the BOBOVR S3 Pro but I can't give you my opinion on it yet as I won't be getting my hands on my Meta Quest 3 itself until Christmas day tomorrow, I'm English btw, but this 61 year old can't wait! I also have an additional battery pack and the charging dock, as well as a list of about 20 games I'll be ordering, so VR it is when time permits over Christmas. Merry Christmas to one and all.
As a fellow big head would you still recommend over the bobo? Really like how you can tilt the headset up on the kkcob but I heard the battery whines and the fan on the bobo kind of has me interested.
Kkcob q3 pro :) the most comfortable :) I wanted to like the bobo .. but that extra weight turned out give me aura migraines!! To much weight for my neck :( unlucky me!! Lucky kkcob didnt give me that problem :)(:
thx for your video. I have a big Problem with my BoBovr s3 Pro the weight and the comfort. .. I have the complete equipment.. 2 batteries and the supercharcher... Is there a way to use the Battieris on this strap?
Just got my quest 3 the other day and it's fantastic, but the battery is atrocious, so I bought a 20,000 milliamp hour 45 watt power bank and a 12 inch 65 watt rated right angle USB-C to right angle USB-C.
@@sierpus children under 12 aren't really supposed to or are intended use these headsets anyways, so a kid 12 or up will be fine Under? You'd had to have something that adjusted well
Since this video I have done a couple of videos now reviewing the H4 boost and also reviewing a number of head straps so I recommend checking them out.
The PSVR headset was too narrow. It became painful after long play sessions for my head. I didn't fit as nicely as the PSVR2 headset which is way more comfortable.
Ho ho ho Who wins the game confort and the game confort/price ? Kkcobvr Q3 pro + K3 OR Bobovr S3 pro + interface AMVR Thanks Très bon Noël from France🎉😁
I played with it ok. It’s just tight and I’m use to the wider fit of the bobovr. It’s just personal preference. Some people might prefer the narrower fit.
I was quoting what is on the back of the battery. In the real world test in the video though the bobo does charge the headset at around 19w. What issues are you having by with the q3 pro?
@@MyTechGearGaming On back of the battery is nothing about 35W. Maybe you are thinking about 35Wh but this is completely different thing. B100 batteries officially have 20W output, but they can do a little bit more. About Q3 Pro I just published whole video a couple days ago. Quality of the front knobs is a problem.
To get the wattage you multiply the volts by the amps, both of which are quoted on the back of the bobo battery. In actual testing though it showed charging the headset around 19w. The knobs haven’t been a problem for me. I’ll go check out your video! 😊
@@MyTechGearGaming If PD battery supports for example up to 20V and up to 3A it doesn't mean that it has 20V@3A (60W). It's limit can be much lower and at 20V use for example 1.35A max, and 3 on 9V etc. Anyway - officially it has 20W output, but in reality a little bit more.
Yes, I get it. At least we’re now getting batteries now that are better at providing power for the quest 3. I expect these batteries to last even longer when used with a quest 3S due to the lower power consumption.

When I choose a strap, weight is one of the most important criteria.
Thank you for dealing with the weight of this strap.
Thanks. I'm glad the video helped you. 🙂
You really didn't show that you can use headset with it without facial interface? The beast feature of such design imo

It definitely makes sense when you consider the 3S price point.
@@MyTechGearGaming. And the S3 does include the built in fan, the KKCOB does not
@Eagledocstew it is the more premium head strap, with more features, but then it also costs more.

I’m curious if it’s good for wearing without the facial interface for a better FOV, or does it not get close enough to your eyes?
You can move the headset closer or further away from your face using the dials on each side of the head strap.

How any of these works with smaller heads, like child head?
It depends how young the child is. Your best bet is to measure their head and then look at the head size range of each headset before you buy it.

Yep. They're bringing out quite a few new products recently.
