Amazing!!! I love that you still do so many leaf propagations. A lot of growers get to the point where they don't want to be bothered anymore but I feel like it's just missed opportunities. Just throw them in a bucket and let them grow on their own in a couple of months you have a new plant, you don't even have to do any work LOL.
I mainly grow plants that I only have one or two. Eventually when I have a lot in say 5 years time....LOL...I too will be throwing them in a tub to give away.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK today is go time! Bringing everything outside! I haven't even put my business signs out yet and I have two customers coming to the house this morning LOL I haven't even put up flyers or anything. I was separating pots over the past couple of days and repotting a lot of my plants in preparation to start bringing them outside and I took a step back and looked at them all and I have to say I have beautiful succulents! It's amazing to see how your hard work pays off. All of the OCD and anal retentiveness and nitpicking LOL it really does pay off in the end 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Liz! I've been thinking about trying MARS hydro for my succulents that I grow indoors. Really appreciate this review. I have a few different lights, but not this one yet. Still working on my budget! 😅😅😅

They are all thriving so well under the grow light! I wish I have a space like yours to set up a grow light and accommodate so many plants and propagating babies. I do have a small one head grow light, it does help my propagating babies grow better. The Marpin you gave me is still growing well outdoor under the pergola though a bit slower. Looking forward to meeting you again and see what you could offer me to adopt. 😍 Have a wonderful holiday, Liz! 😘
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK thanks Liz, I will look into this. Could you let me know actually the one you got for $12? What brand and is there a light strength?
I've only ever used one grow light which is MarHydro SP3000. I'm waiting for a later model grow light in the post. Don't know when I'll get it and do a test run.

Thanks Dean. I have a timer that I use for my rock tumbler. In the case of propagating succulents indoors, I need to have the ritual of turning it on and off as this is the best time for me to check on the plants. If I were away, they still need to be "specific watered" since these are quite expensive plants and you can easily lose some plants overnight.
Hello Liz. This is Edith here in Birmingham, Alabama USA. I watched your videos a lot. I am very impressed on how good you are in growing succulents. I want to ask you about your grow light. What is the height distance between plants to the light. I am thinking to buy the Mars Hydro Sp 3000. I am a newbie with growing succulents. I want to get your opinion if you think it will be a great idea for me to invest in a light like yours. Thanks in advance. Take care!
Hi Edith, The height varies according to the type of plant/succulent you put under it. I still use my SP3000 but I would however suggest to have a look at a newer model. I have a video of MarsHydro FC3000. This explains the height and what sort of plants I put under it. Hi Lizk, do you think it will be okay to install the grow light in a garden shed and have my succulents in there for I really do not have any room in the house.
If I have a garden shed to grow succulents, I would install a clear or transparent roofing. Then I wouldn't need a grow light. I would instead invest on a good heating(if you get frost or snow) and fan system.
Hey Liz, I'm purchasing grow lights but I'm unsure how far away from my succulents the light should be I have a 3 ft stand and the light I'm thinking of purchasing is the HARVEMAX T5 Super Lumen Grow Light, wattage 39W. 75 lumen / per watt, I don't want it to far away that they start stretching or to close that they get burnt. any advice would be helpful thanks in advance, I love your channel and watch every video. thanks Kath 🥰

@@kathscarll6675 The one I'm using has a dimmer that can be easily adjusted to the brightness in relation to the height. I set my height at 800mm and just adjust the dimmer to suit the strength of the light. The fluorescent light needs to be much closer to the plant.

It all depends on the plant species. Some grow big and some do dry out. It takes a bit of time for the pups to grow large but my grow lights definitely help with growth! Thanks for watching and have a great day!🥰

Hi do you leave the light on permanently when you do leaf propagation? Also what is the ideal temperature for leaf propagation?
Only for 12 to 16 hours. Temperature inside is between 18 to 25°C. Growth rate is depending on the plant species.
